Aro would absolutely not be having it. He disposed of a secretary for misspelling Carlisle lol. He views reading as important and hates what phones are doing to people's brains nowadays. However he understands. And don't worry - he has a 17 point plan to help your literacy problems. Aro is also ridiculous with his reward system... You read a short poem? Expect to be showered in compliments and when you get back to your room there will be a necklace on your pillow that costs more than your life.

Marcus isn't quite as strict as Aro, but he does hold the same views. (Spoiler alert, they all do!) However, he isn't one to impose his will upon others. He'll be a bit sad that you're missing out on so many wonderful stories and a nice activity to do together but is willing to find other ways to spend time with you. Is also not opposed to reading to you as a compromise, which is a win-win honestly, getting to learn new things AND listen to his soothing baritone. 😌

Caius enjoys high octane activities and gets bored rather easily but he still enjoys reading as well. He will not seek to understand, you will have to explain yourself to him and probably put up with his condescending ass attitude but he won't push you as much as you might think. After you explain yourself. Before that, there's a good chance he'll lock you in a closet with Hamlet and not let you out until you can pass his pop quiz 😂

Hello!! Thank you for the ask♥️ I do actually! The illustrated guide doesn't really give us any information except that Aro is the one who changed him.

Looking at his permanent status in the Volturi, the fact that he's always so close to Aro who refers to him as a friend, and the fact that Aro Is Who He Is makes me believe that Felix was a mercenary in his former life.

Someone who would have been willing to do just about anything for money/status/power would have suited Aro's shady behind-the-scenes needs perfectly. I also believe Aro had Felix way before he acquired Chelsea so he needed to be sure that whoever he was recruiting would be loyal.

If I'm being so real, I think human!Felix might have been a serial killer who got off on killing people and worked as a mercenary to make money doing what he loves. 🙊 Aro saw a rare non-vampire serial killer and said I'll take this one, please!

Chelsea is the reason the Volturi works! Her gift is to change the bonds between people. Basically Aro abuses that to artificially make people loyal to him and the Volturi. Very much a book only character although it would be super cool if the minor characters had more/any screen time. Have a good day!

Volturi Hug Headcanons and Ratings

Felix: When his large arms wrap around you, you WILL feel safe. Is the type to pick you up/spin you around sometimes. Smells woodsy and will hug you whenever you want, no questions asked. 10/10 and yes I am biased

Demetri: The type that slides his hands along you slowly when he goes in for the hug or lets go. Always smells amazing. However he is not a fan of PDA and the most you will get in public is a hand placed on your lower back or a side hug. 9/10

Alec: Long, heartfelt hugs at the end of the day. He's not clingy - you're clingy. Will also hug you when you're feeling down, mostly because he doesn't know what to say. 7/10

Jane: Quick, tight hugs. Will somehow pour days of emotions into hugs that last mere seconds. She will make you feel like the small one mostly because she always catches you off guard. 6/10

Aro: Will be eerily perfect due to his gift. He'll be able to sense what the perfect hand placement, arm pressure, and hug length will be. However there is no soul or warmth in it. 8/10 (begrudgingly)

Caius: Makes you feel weird for even asking. Despite his reluctance, the man is a hugging force of nature. Will pull you into him forcefully and hold onto you longer than he would if he really hated it, while burying his nose in your hair. 5/10 for being a cunt about it

Marcus: Can you even call it a hug if it almost always turns into a multiple hour long cuddle sesh? He needs it so bad. Please hug him and never let go. Very respectful until you try to leave, at which point he WILL cling and guilt trip you. 4/10 why can't you just be normal
