@vonhansen-blog
A giggle escaped her lips as her blue-green eyes narrowed on a orange butterfly fluttering on her finger. “Isn’t Earth just magical?”
❊ ⟩ eliza offered her cousin a blank expression, resisting the urge to roll her eyes. “it’s a fucking butterfly. you’ve seen one before.”
nadia shrugged, noting how awkward this entire encounter was. she decided not to comment on it and tried to ignore her claim that she was perfect. knowing eliza and all of the things she’d been through in the last few months, that was probably not true. but if she wanted to insist it was, nadia wasn’t going to accuse her of lying. she laughed a little when she made a comment about not being hot, “ i don’t get it either, it’s pretty similar to home for me. i think we’re some of the only ones who think it’s not horrible though. we should make a club. ” she laughed a little at her idea before shaking her head. “ i mean, no. it’s stupid here, and the people are dumb. but i’ll survive, it’s only a temporary placement. are you adjusting well? ”
❊ ⟩ “like i said –– i’m perfect,” she insisted, rucking a portion of her golden locks behind her ear. the worst thing she could do allow herself to have idle hands while she was nervous; without any kind of buffer, there’s no telling what her ice would do. “the people are really stupid, you hit the bulls-eye with that one. there’s nothing about this place that makes it seem any safer than fantasia.” ever since eliza had arrived, all she’d heard on the news was trauma and tragedy; what was the program thinking, hosting there?
to say that venus was intrigued would be the understatement of the year. her silver eyes widened further as she took a step closer to the blonde heiress, clasping her hands in front of her. “show me.”
❊ ⟩ as much as she wanted to reject the girl’s offer, eliza wasn’t one to pass up showing off. she had worked hard in order to be able to control her powers the way she did; what was the point if she didn’t use them? approaching the doors she had previously frozen, the blonde broke off a chunk of solid ice. she took hold of venus’ wrist, forcing her to hold out her hand out before placing the ice on her palm. “ –– ready?”
Harry simply smirked as he looked at her before letting out a sigh,
“Let me guess, you’re from ARENDELLE aren’t you?”
It was no surprise to him that the apparent daughter of Queen Elsa had the ice power that her mother had.
“Fine, fine, you MAY sit here,”
he said as if he had a choice.
“But only because I don’t want pneumonia.”
❊ ⟩ “and he’s observant! what can’t he do, folks?” eliza gasped, feigning an impressed tone. she rolled her eyes as he bestowed permission –– as if it would’ve changed her actions. “that’s too bad,” she commented with a sigh. “frost bite might’ve looked good on you.”
"that’s NOT what i meant, and y-you know that–,“ dahlia started, her eyes widening three times their average size. if anything, the brunette looked frightened. like a deer in headlights. "m'not– m'not a princess..or well, i am but..but not one of importance– c-can i PLEASE go n-now..?” the tears that the doe had been attempting to hold back finally broke loose, streaming down her cheeks. ’ pathetic, dahlia. you’re pathetic. ’
❊ ⟩ “and now the princess cries,” eliza narrated, not exerting the effort to mask her amusement. was this really happening? no one’s ever allowed to call me dramatic ever again. “ –– you’re dismissed.”
I don’t know how to stay tender with this much blood in my mouth

she shook her head at the girl when she insisted on a thank you. “ i’d be more inclined to thank you if you would have asked to take it off. ” she said. though she was thankful, she didn’t want to show it just yet. she frowned when she said she’d have to cut it off the next time she wanted it off. “ well shit, how am i supposed to cut it off of myself? ” she asked, though she didn’t want an answer to the question. “ are you going to keep making cat jokes? ”
❊ ⟩ “asking is for people who care about the answer,” eliza reminded with a shrug. it wouldn’t have mattered if chachi protested or not, her actions would’ve remained the same. “you’ll figure out it out, i’m sure. you’ve got plenty of time to figure it out -- depending on how many lives you’ve got left and what not.” it was clear that she was amused by the cat puns; even she was unsure if she could stop completely. “i’ll run out of them... eventually.”
“i figured..” max mumbled softly, putting his book in his knapsack as he stood. cautiously, he approached his old friend, sighing defeatedly as he turned to stare at the guard behind the icy door. “well, i’m going to ignore that this happened and just welcome you to this hellhole. shall we make our exit before the minion sends for help?”
❊ ⟩ “what, you’re not impressed?” eliza scoffed, tempted to freeze the rest of the building just to infuriate the guard even more. “an exit sounds fine,” she quietly agreed, prepared to follow the taller blonde. “any place has to be better than here.”
“ why was someone trying to attack you? in a place like this? i thought we were brought here so that none of that happened. ” avery cared a lot about people being safe & for a moment was worried about the girl & if she was actually safe. “ you’re full of more than one? ” avery asked, with a widening mouth, “ can you do some more? ”
❊ ⟩ “because they’re prejudice against fairies,” eliza explained. “yeah, that’s what they told us. don’t believe the things the people tell you, it’ll be a mistake.” she was very against being in the program, something she hadn’t attempted to sugar coat. as avery’s smile widened, eliza’s smirk followed suit. “hold out your hand,” she instructed. she then brought her palm up, aiming it at zeir’s. moments later, a solid ice crystal appeared in the shape of a star materialized.
“ so i’ve heard from a little birdy that you’ve been around for a good amount of time, but yet you haven’t came by to see lil’ ol’ me. you know eliza. i am just so offended. who do you think had to clean up your frozen door mess? ” ( @vonhansen )
❊ ⟩ glancing up from her notebook, eliza was pleasantly surprised to see him, to say the least. over the past few months, she had alienated everyone in her life. “and here i thought that the lack of you back on fantasia was the result of you getting arrested or something. you should be thanking me; if i had sealed the ice, you’d still be there chipping away at it.”
“– now that’s a bit.. rash,” melia mused, shrugging her shoulders. clearly this girl has some powers that weren’t put into check. she noted this, but didn’t dwindle on it. “that guy should be thankful, then. honestly. writing you a thank you note, the whole shabang.”
❊ ⟩ “you say rash like it’s a bad thing,” eliza shrugged. over the past few months, she had abandoned the entire concept of thinking or acting rational; acting on an impulse provided an excellent distraction. “he should, but he’s ungrateful: what a shock. i’m pretty sure he’s going to try and ralph smash the doors open –– i’m looking forward to it.”
the brunette shrugged her shoulders. “dunno. ‘fraid i’m not that interesting, i guess.” she rested her hands on her hips, pursing her lips. “you’ve got some interesting ones though. what else can you do?”
❊ ⟩ “i can do anything,” eliza stated confidently. it was a stretch, of course, but it wasn’t necessarily false, either. having a bulletproof confidence was how it was easy for her to control her powers. and she had incredible ones, a lot of which she hadn’t even realized yet. the true potential of her magic was like the ocean; dark, deep, and ultimately unexplored.
