Here I write, draw, and ramble about the game and its characters. Though as you can tell by my blog name I have a major bias for a certain wolfman lol. But I have an appreciation for almost all characters within the game.

I think I might straight quit ZZZ. (Tw: Rant, strong opinions)

Season three’s characters are overwhelmingly boring and same-y to the point that I can’t get a vibe from a single one at a glance. The extreme sexualization of their female cast gets worse and worse with each update, to the point the designs are literally indefensible. I don’t really understand the design philosophy, it just looks really bad — coming from the hoyoverse game that used to have stand out designs and a fantastic identity.

It would be less irritating if they were more blatant about the fact that this game was to get creeps living in their mommy’s basement off, but they still wanna pretend that these women are characters. They wanna act like they respect their women and their players by writing “such a good” story for them, but that’s clearly not true.

Look at this:

It’s just atrocious. From one of the coolest designs with such a stylized edge to Yixuan the fourth. What the fuck is she wearing?? Sure it looks better in game, but that’s only because the game graphics are so good. The design is still one of the worst things they’ve ever done. Then such a pretty design (which they already changed in game to a less appealing version) to “waist must be smaller than one thigh!!” Like she is a proportional nightmare absolutely curb stomping Yanagi’s tiny ass head. Sure she kind of gives angelic here… maybe? She’s straight just wearing lingerie, like…

What. The. Fuck. Are. We. Doing.

You don’t CARE about interesting design. You don’t CARE about the characters you’re creating. You don’t CARE about anything but desperately trying to make as much money as possible with the ugliest bait I’ve ever seen. And fucking losers who’ve got callouses on their cocks from rubbing too much eat it up every time. They’re ruining the integrity of the fucking game every single patch.

I’m so fucking angry because ZZZ’s character design was the main appeal to me — even through season 2 which had some serious stinkers. But among them we got Yuzuha and Alice and Zhao and Dialyn and Orphie — hell even SEED who’s design I DO NOT LIKE — are all fun and have character and at least somewhat align with the faction system. These two have NO character. They’re just half naked to be half naked and in super sexy outfits just to be in super sexy outfits. And that’s the entire fucking cast this season.

I don’t have a problem with sex appeal (Nicole, Jane, and Eve are my favorite characters in the game), I have a problem with the way they’re doing it. It’s. So. Unsexy. Your character has NOTHING to do with being hot and sexy, why the fuck is she dressed like that??? Even with previous sex appeal characters, it made sense for them to dress that way.

Jane is an undercover cop who’s infiltrating gangs, it makes perfect sense that she’s wearing a kind of sexy-streetwear outfit. She’s selling herself as any other hot woman you’d see on the street with a dangerous edge, she’s appealing to her sexuality because it gets her ahead.

Nicole is a gal, she likes to show off her skin and go against social expectations of what she’s meant to wear. It’s also street fashion and she’s very much a girl who has lived on and thrives in the streets. It’s cute, and sure it’s not covering much, but it fits Nicole’s character.

Eve there is less defense for, but she is fully covered still. Shes wearing something you’d expect a bodyguard to wear, she looks formal and stiff but clearly has an edge. You can look at her and be like “okay this makes sense” after and before knowing her story.

Ya can’t do that here! Sure we don’t know the story, but like? Look. Use your eyes and you can see just how bad these two are designed. It’s so upsetting and it makes me so fucking mad. I don’t know if I can keep up with the game when I know they don’t respect their players or their characters.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. It was longer than I expected. Please don’t hate me for feeling this way. I love ZZZ but I just can’t believe what I’ve been seeing.

Alright time to clean up the inbox and get some requests done before the update comes out, plan on adding the newest characters to the list in the near future (gotta make their banners first)

Though I'll be honest my character list has become so long (and getting even longer with each new update), I'm kind of afraid my masterlists are gonna start overwhelming newcomers

Finally got my ass in gear to play the main update content so here's my unorganized random thoughts as I play through the stories. Spoilers warnings ofc

Huh, Anby's thing is a lot more straightforward than I thought. For some reason I thought that was the main thing and not a side thing. Weird.

Haven't played Trigger's story yet at this point but she's kind of meh to me? At least from what I've she's got a nice design but personality isn't too outstanding. But I highly expected I played something out of order because Phaethon knows them I WAS TRYING TO AVOID THAT I THOUGHT THE ANBY SHIT CAME FIRST FUCK-

Well...off to the tv event battles for more Mockingbird funds so next thoughts will be when doing Trigger's story (I'm saving Hugo for last I'm not ready to simp for another phantom thief don't alter my brain like Ren and Akechi please I beg)

Oh it answered my previous question right away, so the two knew Trigger during the beginning of their opening of Random Play. Wow okay, I do not mind that at all. Though still feels a bit like a "let's just dump it here in the timeline" but maybe going through the story more will change my mind.

Okay I kind of see how she'll appeal to other's, I do like how she acts. Though I can't say I'm someone who'll really remember her later down the line unless she shows up in another update (no offense to Trigger fans really, I have a habit of forgetting characters a lot that don't have a lot going for me. And I don't mean in terms of simping.). But I do want to give her a massive hug, girl deserves one.

Okay she's not that bad actually. Almost cried but I do feel for her a ton, and I'm sure several family members I have can relate to her story a lot. She's good in my books, I like her.

Brief note on Trigger's tv event, I don't like it. I'm sure aiming is way easier on pc but on mobile it SUCKS. I'm so shocked I've been getting S ranks so far even with how stiff the aiming feels

But seriously I just wanted to apologize for how quiet I've been, and it's not because of me focused on other games this time. My life has been going through it (got a loss in the family, taking care of a little one, and parents are going through something as well. Just to name a few) so my motivation for writing has been absolutely shot.

But I hope after I write for a different fandom for a bit (I won't say which one) it'll help with me getting the motivation to write for Zenless again, though I may do a slight overhaul of who I write for, as I'm not sure if I'm willing to do the whole cast (especially if it's mainly the men that get requested, which I don't blame people since those within this space are men enjoyers like myself) but that's up for me to decide.

Some rambling about the fishing event (took me a bit to actually take time out to actually do some of it, I've been falling down a particular cookie rabbit hole lately)

Obviously I wanna talk about the Lycaon bit, can you blame me?

He's so adorable, like him trying his damnest to not let Rina make those pies. I don't blame him though, the image of a live fish squirming in a pie made me want to hurl my pizza. But the fact he goes so far to dispose of it INTO A HOLLOW INSTEAD OF JUST A TRACHCAN ON THE OTHER SIDE OF TOWN. I mean yeah possible poisoning other creatures but that's when you put it in several tied plastic bags to ensure it can't easily be opened.

But also the fact that it attracts ethereals...I feel like you can make money off of that in some way. Like having a throwable bait to distract them for exploring? Or a way to keep them away from points of interests by having the bait placed far away? Idk Nicole could definitely think of some way to make money from it.

And him trying to soothe Soukaku was so cute SIR LET ME GIVE YOU CHILDREN.

But also BABY KAKU DONT EAT FOOD OFF OF THE FLOOR???? ESPECIALLY IN A HOLLOW????? Please don't tell me Yanagi has had to deal with her doing this oh the STRESS I feel from that.

Like I'm glad it worked out and that she actually liked it (which makes me want to hug her because I know that's from how the Oni clan was before Yanagi took them in), but my god I don't know if I could even let myself look at Rina's cooking without going into a full blown meltdown (no offense to her, but something tells me her cooking wouldn't work with my food sensory issues)

Wanted do a silly oc writing drabble for my main sona based on the bangboo event

"Oh Manager, you're also here?" AJ had greeted, a look of mild surprise on their face.

"AJ? What are you doing here?" Wise asked, confused at the rabbit thiren's appearance. Especially since they typically made it a habit of not coming to large gatherings.

"Well I was curious of the competition!" They exclaimed, eyes shining as they thought about the bangboo competitors. "Seeing so many cute bangboos acting even more cute? How could I not see that?!"

"Right..."

"I was actually considering entering my children into it, but by the time I realized it was happening it was too late." They sighed, shaking their head at their own mistake. "But eh, it is what it is."

After a moment, the thiren realized the third person there. "Oh! Sorry, didn't realize. A friend of theirs as well?"

"Yes!" Astra greeted, nodding her head excitedly. "It's amazing how many friends these two have."

"Yeah, somehow I'm not surprised they've made friends with a celebrity like you." They replied back, smiling innocently as the three freeze. "Sorry, you're not exactly hiding it well. I won't say anything though."

"Well, we were gonna actually scope out our next opponent." Belle said, gesturing to somewhere else within the lobby to quickly change the topic.

"Really? Can I come with?" AJ asked, tilting their head as they watched the trio look at each other. But it was Astra that spoke up first.

"Sure!" She smiled, already grabbing their hand to bring them along towards the alone bangboo. Though only the proxy siblings noticed the rabbit thiren quickly becoming tense when they saw the charmingly dressed machine.

They hardly paid attention to what the group was saying now, their thoughts swirling as they tried to come up with a quick excuse to leave. They couldn't stay, knowing a certain someone was most likely around the corner. But just as they opened their mouth to speak, a sudden hand patting their shoulder made them freeze.

"My, I didn't expect to see a familiar face." An all too familiar voice said, followed by a humored chuckle as the owner of said voice watched them quickly turn. He only offers them a smile before glancing back at the other three. "Robin, do you know who these others are?"

"No, can only assume they're the little Miss's friends." The bangboo replied, barely giving them a glance as well. Instead it only looked up expectantly, as if waiting for praise or affection from AJ.

"I would say they're also our next opponents." The blond mansuggests, earning a noise of surprise from his bangboo companion.

"Eh-na?!"

AJ could barely listen to the conversation again, too engrossed in their thoughts. Though they could tell the vampir man was standing extremely close to them, something they knew was purposeful. It wasn't until they heard him asking to look at Astra microphone, did they speak up. "A-Ah that wouldn't be a good idea, he's uh...he's extremely clumsy!"

"Oh don't be like that." The man fake whined, leaning down to give them a pout. But they could see the challenge in his eyes, daring them to try to stop him. "I know I used to break your things sometimes, but that was years ago."

"It wouldn't be any harm." Astra muttered, barely thinking it over before handing her device to him. It was only when he gave it back after some inspecting that AJ relaxed slightly, though they tensed once more as the blond man placed a hand back on their shoulder.

"I shall take my leave. But for you, Little Miss, I hope to see you again in the future." He gave them a more genuine looking smile, though it held so many emotions they couldn't quite decipher. "And your lover as well."
