@jodi-furman
Dani that’s gay as fuck
And now on to Fallen Angels.
Charles: Repeatedly violates Magik’s personhood in a horrific and cruel way by making Karma posses her when she doesn’t obey him.
Magneto: sits down and talks things through with her when she’s doesn’t follow his commands.
Charles why are you such a massive twat?
Charles stop making Karma posses Magik when she refuses to do what you want!!!!
This is a violation of her personhood in the most extreme!!!!
Charles shows up in New Mutants again and immediately makes Karma posses Iliyana and then insults Dani right to her face.
I can’t wait for his next death.
@jodi-furman since you keep talking about Polaris's art in the 60s, do you want some no-context/spoilers arts of her from more recently that I think are very cool?
Sure thing does she still get all the really good art?
But yes I do love a bit of Lorna art.
I want more Lorna Dane.
She is introduced in the best arc of the 60’s then gets reduced role barely plays a role in the Hidden Years gets written out with the rest of the 60’s crew in the 70’s then they just have her show up infrequently to play a minor role. Can someone tell me when they start giving her actual focus arcs?
She just show up again and I don’t know if is just a minor appearance when she and Alex get yanked around by the plot for a bit or it’s going to have her play a proper role to the same extent as her introductory story now over 15 years ago!
She shows up in 60’s X-Men steals all the good art then gets relegated to minor minor minor supporting character!
I mean seriously best art of the 60’s here
Please please please give me more good Lorna with a proper arc surrounding her that doesn’t have anything to do with Alex Summers who had a rather dull and slightly racist origin right after her, not to mention he is a rather dull character compared to Lorna.
So I got good news and bad news.
The good news is that Lorna as a character gets a lot of prominence later on. The bad news is that she and Alex do tend to get paired together a lot, although I feel like their dynamic becomes more interesting over time. The arc you just started is... sorta gonna focus on her? Maybe? A little?
Anyway in future, she and Alex are the co-leads of the 1991 X-Factor, which I have heard good things about but not read. I don't know anything of what she did immediatly after that, but both her and Alex also show up towards the end of the 2006 X-Factor, which is extremely good, albiet a bit less about them. She's a lead character in 2014's All-New X-Factor, which from what I've heard is decent but not amazing. Doesn't have Alex in it. She's also a major character in the 2020 version of X-Factor, which is amazing and a fantastic comic and completley Alex-free. After that ended, she had a stint on the 2021 X-Men team, which was... fine at best, imo, although she got a focus issue that I think is much better than most of the rest of that comic. She didn't do much in the back half of the Krakoa era, but she does show up big time for the finale, and is a major character in Fall of the House of X, one half of the finale to the Krakoa era. And, finally, her most recent appearance is in the 2024 X-Factor which yes does have Alex in it again but I really like how their relationship is handled and overall does Polaris really well.
Does that give you things to look forward to?
Definitely looking forward to all that but 91? She’s not been prominent since 1970. Why did they take so long to do something with her?
I really hope I will enjoy all that’s coming up!
I mean the way Clairmont interpreted her character (which, for the record, is an interpretation I strongly like) is that she doesn't want to get dragged into superhero antics and would rather just stay out of it. Which does lend one to not having a huge prominence in the story if one's main goal is to stay out of the story.
That being said Clairmont is about to use her in a fairly prominent way, it's just... weird and maybe doesn't count. You'll understand what I mean when I get there. You're in the aftermath of the Mutant Massacre, right?
Early days. Maddie just woke up from a coma in X-Men and Angel is dead in X-Factor then I have a handful of New Mutants issues up next.

Magik & Colossus #5 (2026) Marvel Comics
Hiiiiiiiiii OP not to hijack this but ah.
I can't help but notice Magik and Colossus are fighting someone named Koschei. And yes, I know the entomology of the name that makes sense, but also like.
I'm a Doctor Who fan here.
(Gonna @ both @familyparadox and @measured-robshearfan for being the two people most likely to find this as funny as me)
From what I can see he even has to goatee.

What do you mean call Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart? This is Earth 616 not 5556!
Sergeant Benton get out of my X-Men comic!
Why has this random X-Men strip just become a Doctor Who crossover.
I assumed I had most of the crossovers down but no here comes inaccurately coloured UNIT.
Because Chris Clairmont was a Doctor Who fan and Marvel technically had the license for Who comics at the time
I gather it’s just wild.
Like Captain Britain has an excuse with all its multiverse and cosmic stuff.
But a random story with Dazzler and the New X-Men fighting Juggernaut in Scotland is not a place I expected them to show up.
And I do know that the intention was that Doctor Who was set in Earth 616 but it’s still wild.

Well Earth-616 also has a version of Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart! Sargent Benton, too.
Does it have UNIT as well? From my preliminary research it seemed they had Brigadier Stewart and Doctor Lethbridge who worked for WHO.
But now I find out the Brig and Benton are in my X-Men as well.
Wild.
