I really don’t get how “transformer” is meant to be an insult. Yeah we transform ourselves? It’s cool as shit. The malleability of the human body is something to be celebrated. Oh you are comparing us to fucking fighter jets and trucks that transform into planet destroying battle robots? With sound design by Skrillex? Whoa!

That shit is so much cooler than being unable in the mirror while naked without disassociating/panicking/crying unless you can amass tens of thousands of dollars to fix it. And that’s assuming you survive long enough to complete the journey. And if you complete it, you still must grieve the life you could have had without dysphoria.

So yeah, being compared to Optimus Prime or Bumblebee just isn’t getting under my skin as much as being in my literal skin is. Would rather be an actual transformer.
