I got a full 40 minutes in The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934), directed by Alfred Hitchcock, before I realized the movie I actually wanted to watch was The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956), direcred by Alfred Hitchcock. I sat there thinking "Jimmy Stewart has to show up at some point, isn't he the star of the movie?"

Rereading Homeland by R.A. Salvatore and I just noticed this. Drizzt grew up in a matriarchal society, so he says "She or he" instead of "He or she". What an incredible detail for world building!

I enjoyed the first two books in The Exlian Syndrome series, but Apex was such a let down. The plot is deeply unoriginal, sharing similarities with eveything from Suicide Squad to Ratchet: Deadlocked. On top of the unoriginal plot, there are unoriginal characters. There is a robot that doesnt need to be named in any capacity, but it still has the name of... Mr. Robot. There is another Prisoner named Joker. Joker is a crazed lunatic that loves killing with knives. Wow, I wonder where you got that idea Seth. Also, there is an energy controller named Coral. She controls water that is used both offensively and defensively and pulls it from a container that she carries on her person (much like Katara from ATLA). Maybe the reason the plot and characters are so unoriginal is that this book doesnt need to exist. There are maybe 3 things that are actually pertinent to the over arching plot of the series, two of which are just lines said out loud and the other is a a new plot being introduced. All of these could have been done in a way that actually connects better, but instead they are little lore moments in a sea of useless meandering. God this book sucked. Based on the reviews of the next book, I am not going to continue reading it at all. It is clear Seth Ring is milking his audience for money and I will not participate anymore.
