Welcome to our little project! 'The Legend of Oakhurst' is an indie web design project centred around Vampires SMP. It follows an amateur journalist trying to uncover the secrets Oakhurst 200 years later. This story is focused on how the living members have dealt with grief, and will include both character building and worldbuilding. It will be told through articles, interviews, journal entries, letters, art, photos, and more! Got a question? Drop it in our ask box and we'll happily answer it for you!

We want to thank all of our applicants for your interest, as well as everyone who helped spread the word by reblogging our posts! We got such an amazing amount of signups, and we now have ahead of us the tough task of going through them all and deciding which ones not to take. Every one of them that we've looked through has been incredible, and we're starting to get really excited about the opportunitues you've all made available to us!

As you all know, acceptance and rejection emails will be sent out on the 28th, but we ask that all our applicants keep an eye out for an email from us before that time in case we need to contact you regarding any issues with your signup.

We are not yet sending out acceptance and rejection emails, but we might want to follow up with you regarding your portfolio that you submitted to us. Unfortunately, if you do not respond to an email we have sent you then we cannot consider you for the aspect we contacted you about. We'd like to give each applicant the best possible chance of acceptance, so responding before signups close is absolutely in your best interests. if we're applying for multiple roles, do we add all of our examples of every role into one portfolio, or make separate portfolios for each role we apply for ?

You can do whichever you'd prefer. If you make multiple portfolios, remember to link them all. If you do one for everything, just make sure you split it into sections so we can clearly read them ^-^

hi! :) just a small little question- what exactly does the music artist job mean/what's the general things that would be done as a part of that job? just caught my eye and made me curious as to what exactly the job entailed. have a nice day <3

Hello hello!

It means more or less whatever you want it to mean that has to do with music! If you write (guitar tabs, traditional sheet music, etc), play (an instrument, singing, etc) or produce (as in, putting sounds together, idk what the fancy words are lmao), then that's what we want from you. We have no specific plans for the music yet, it's just something we felt is important to have as part of our project. If you sign up as a music artist, you get to decide what that means to you!

I know you already figured this one out, but I'm answering anyway for other people who may be wondering: Yes! We have a discord server set up and eagerly awaiting our contributors. The invite link will be send out with acceptance emails, so all successful applicants will be able to join through there!

Yes, we will be sending out both rejection and acceptance emails so that no one is left wondering. We will also make a post when the emails are sent out to decrease the chances of any being missed, so as long as you're keeping an eye on either this blog or your emails (both of which I do recommend anyway lmao), you will know the outcome of your application.
