Blood Bonded

This is a rework of a piece I did either late last year or earlier this year (it’s somehow already July??) I just warmed the overall colour and added those dramatic shadows

Here’s the caption from the original post:

Kaya wasn’t waiting too long before Prince Delphine glided into the room, surrounded by a swarm of Ghouls, all with busy hands. One of them came over to where Kaya was sat and offered her a drink. Remembering her vow earlier, she went to refuse but hesitated. It would be rude to refuse her lovely host...

In that moment she realised just how much of a grip the Blood Bond already had on her; warping her thoughts and feelings around the Prince. Kaya gathered her will, and carefully looked at the Ghoul who had offered her the drink. With the most polite smile, she gently declined. It was clearly the wrong answer. Every one of the two dozen or so Ghouls in the room froze, slowly turning their eyes toward their master. They all looked terrified - and completely stunned that she had refused.

Kaya followed their gaze but didn’t notice Delphine’s pleasant expression change. She looked so calm and composed, as if nothing could ever unnerve her.

“Please, I insist.” She said, still smiling patiently, gesturing to the drink.

A scene from a campaign in which I, a dumbass player, underestimated how crazy-controlling our Toreador Prince was (She’s so chill, it’s great! - me, being dumb). So, my Daughter of Cacophony caught the eye of the Prince and rapidly became Blood Bonded. Woops!

It all worked out okay though; Kaya had some Sabbat connections who managed to help break that pesky bond! :3 (and I learnt a valuable lesson about trusting Elders ;_;)
