Kai is a traffic cone that came to life 100 years after humanity disappeared. He is very interested in what happened to them and collects trinkets, writing and other evidence of humanity. That is why he breaks into old homes and collects whatever he can to understand what humanity was like.

Have you been concerned about the FRESHNESS of your traffic cones? Never occurred to me, I'll admit it! (We did buy a couple of cones last year for use at the music events Son has been having down at Home Farm. I just don't think they've gone stale, yet.)
