i have NEVER understood and will never understand why fans of certain bands expect that band to stay stagnant and basically produce the same album over and over and over and over again. like i assume you like this band, right? right? okay so walk with me here-- you want them to challenge themselves, right? explore their art? make things they're excited about? put themselves out there? take risks? have creative freedom? adapt and change? be flexible? learn new skills and techniques? no? you want them to cater specifically to you and then throw a fit when you don't get the exact scenario you, a non-member of said band, hoped for? so do... do you like this band? or do you just like your idea of what they should do
