"just how many of these shipping edits are going to have this sound?" 𓆩♡𓆪
streamer! satoru was strategic. sure, he has a massively huge crush on you, streamer! yn (he still hasn't asked you out despite the amount of times it is painfully obvious that he's really into you... like he's literally turned red on stream because you hugged him in that one get-together with sukuna and then with suguru's stream). but he figured, why not make some bag out of this and stream himself viewing the edits fans have made of him on twitter and tiktok.
he would've asked you to join, but you unfortunately couldn’t due to the fact that you had another collab with another streamer ... nanaken. in actuality, you haven’t really been talking as often due to busy schedules, and satoru sees no point in you talking to him considering the fact that he hasn’t asked you out yet.
but nanami? that was one of streamer! satoru's homeboys, so he didn't really care... until chat noticed stuff.
"haha, you guys really enjoy fucking with me, huh?" satoru was on the nth edit of you and him, making sarcastic comments on how chat really wanted him to be with you (and in his subconscious, he was hoping you'd see this stream and agree and maybe hopefully you two would start dating...) but then he took a look at chat once someone sent a donation.
zeninheir67 sent a $5 donation: u fucking cuck why is ur girl with another streamer rn
"you... she's with one of my friends, nanami right now... mods, silence him. but lets see what my bffs are doing right now since you guys are talking so much shit."
for fun, satoru began to tune into nanaken's stream... and when satoru began looking at the rest of the chat, he felt his heart go to his ass.
marlborosoverparliaments: they look a tad bit close lol
notfvsh1gur0: this feels wrong
yuji2tuff: watch the twitter tl spam other type of edits
makithedestroyer: ur lowk a cuck for this LMAO
there you were, with nanami, so close. nanami's streams didn't really consist of much apart from the occasional sarcastic commentary of internet drama that his viewers sent and the fact that he’s a conventionally attractive guy who crochets on stream while chatting and reacting to shit, and also does asmr (specifically the fan favorite: performative male manipulative ex-boyfriends begs you to come back) .
right…. he’s conventionally attractive…..
“okay… you guys are honestly doing too much. they’re literally just—'" — “what do you think about the shipping edits? huh?”
satoru shut up real quick when he heard what nanami read in his chat. he was currently tapping on a hard-cover book he was reading while you were knitting close to a mic for asmr affects when he read the comment out in amusement.
“i think that’s directed at you, y/n,” — “hm? the edits? of me and toru?”
shit, strike 1.
you smiled, stopping your knitting as you looked around sheepishly. “yeah! i have! they’re cute! i’m sure he thinks they’re cute too. you guys are funny.”
strike 2…
nanami looked over at you, a ghost of a smile creeping. “well, i was going to invite your little boyfriend to join but it looks like he had other plans…”
“oh yeah! but next time we should all collab! i think he’d really like that! i can bring my blind bag things and do asmr with them with you guys!”
strike 3… did you really just hard launch him and he hasn’t even confessed his feelings towards you?! and nanamin supports it? what a fucking g…
tojilifts: this guy stopped functioning wtf
zeninheir67: ew imagine folding for a FOID
makithedestroyer: /zeninheir67 kys
cursedsuguru: you guys are so cute it disgusts me
“hard launch i guess…”
it felt a tad lackluster—maybe because satoru hasn’t yet understood not processed the weight of your words. satoru or streamer! satoru. so he just stared at the chat sending in troll messages about how he’s so whipped.
until he got a text message.
n/n <3: hey! i said something a bit controversial on a stream with nanami and i wanted to apologize if it made you uncomfortable
no… it didn’t. it actually made him excited.
n/n <3: i hope we can possibly talk later alone. at my place after im done with my stream and you are with yours? really wanna talk with you rn !
satoru: sure! i’m down. see you then :)
and so, the usually nonchalant streamer! satoru, burst into a fit of giddy laughter and smiled at his chat.
“its a great evening. i’ll do whatever gets the most votes this stream.”

okay so if i’m gonna do a part 4 i legit dk what to do it on dhdjsjdjsjsjjsjsjjs
⡴ gym teacher!sukuna has an embarrassingly known crush on school nurse!reader
lowkey wanna turn this into a full oneshot
if he heard one more twelve year old’s squeaky voice whispering to one another, saying he’s ‘got a crush on the school nurse’ he swears he’s gonna write up the whole grade.
god, it’s even worse when one of the eighth grade girls come up to him when he’s on lunch duty.
“mr., mr. ! did you know the nurse mentioned she likes tall guys when i went into her room for a tylenol !”
“what does that have to do with me ?” he grumbles, scrunching his face while the girl and her friend stare up at him.
“well everyone knows you like like her—”
“GO SIT DOWN!”
he swears the whole lunchroom conveniently goes quiet when he yells that as the girls squirm away back to their tables and start whispering around gossip.
and even worse than the girls that draw hearts around you and sukuna’s staff photos next to eachother in the main office, he’s got gojo. gojo, who ships you two and nags him like worse-than a middle school girl. gojo, who shoves you two together for any school event.
“what game do you have planned for tomorrow?” you ask, leaning over to whisper to sukuna as eighth grade awards are called for each subject, timing claps inbetween your words while names are called. you smirk, “how many kids am i gonna have sent my way next time?”
“just dodgeball.” he leans down to whisper flatly against your ear, still staring down a kid giggling in the seating rows of the auditorium and effectively getting him to stop with his gaze.
“your version of dodgeball is basically to the death, i might have to have paramedics in my room on standby.” you joke, turning to smile at him so sweetly. in his mind, this counts as him making you laugh and therefore counts as a win.
he chuckles lightly, just a quick huff of his chest, but essentially the hardest he can laugh if he’s not looking at a kid getting tackled in class. “these kids will toughen up eventually, i am just teaching them to do it early.”
“were you a weak kid that needed to toughen up? i can really only picture you as a big scary dude.”
“i was actually a severely malnourished child due to my mothers impoverished state during her pregnancy.“ he says, truly not realizing how solemn he sounds in his voice even as he means it as a light hearted jest.
you blink at him, face contorted in confusion and awkwardness. he wants to hit himself.
the only thing that saves him from not saying anything stupid again is the end of the assembly, marked by gojo yelling into a megaphone and for kids to round up by homeroom.
the following week he’s still embarrassed to even look you in the eyes. he’s mulling over how stupid he must’ve looked infront of you while sifting through the equipment closet.
he hears steps echo throughout the currently empty gym before he yells out.
“gojo i’m not covering your lunch break, fuck off—” he turns around to not see the usual suspect he finds during his free period. instead, he sees you, leaning against the door in scrubs and white coat clinging to your body. he stills in his motion.
you speak before he can (if he can speak at all in his embarrassed state).
“i understand the confusion, he bothers me all the time too.” you dismiss, smiling at him with your glossed lips he probably thinks about hourly. waitwaitwait, gojo talks to you all the time ? he’s going to kill that lanky fuck. “just wanted to drop these off for yuri in your next period.” you jostle around a pill bottle in your hand, “she can get fainty on gym days so give these to her just in case to help prevent that.” he knows it’s your job and all, but your concern is honestly kinda cute.
“uhh yeah i’ll be sure to.” he nods, right as you drop the bottle on top of a stack of rubber cones by the door before you walk out. and he would just like it to be known he definitely didn’t stare at your ass as you left.
and he typically makes it easier for himself to deny how down bad he is to you, but now, after you spent a week of saved up sick days out last week, he’s kind of craving your voice. so who can blame him when he calls his 6th grade nephew into his office while he’s supposed to be at lunch.
“look, kid. i’m going to need you to do something, and i’m gonna need you to not be annoying about it, kay?”
yuji furrows his brows, fiddling with the strings of his hoodie.
“you,” he gestures to his nephew, “are going to act like you collapsed and let me bring you up to the school nurse. you are then going to be quiet when i talk to her.”
“is it cause you have a crush on her—”
sukuna tenses before cutting him off.
“do a good job acting and i will consider buying you that human earthworm blu-ray. do you hear me, brat?”
yuji’s eyes light up at the mention of the dvd.
“is this impression good enough then?” yuji leans and clutches at his side in fake fatigue while moaning dramatically for help, then immediately straightens up with a smile like he’s waiting for a rating. sukuna shakes his head and genuinely wonders how he’s related to this—in sukuna’s words— pea brained doofus.
he dials your number on his offices phone, sitting tense in his chair while he shh’s yuji. yuji nods and salutes as sukuna continues to roll his eyes.
yuji could’ve sworn he saw him smile when you pick up. he continues to watch sukuna fiddle with the curled wire of the phone as he explains yuji’s apparently dire situation. he can just barely hear the muffled sound of you saying ‘just bring him up and i’ll check him out.” over the speaker of the phone before sukuna hangs up and fixes his hair.
sukuna walks out the door and desperately tries to ignore yuji’s terrible post fainting impression behind him as his nephew follows his step to your room.
just before they step into your room he whispers to yuji as he leans over.
“if you can bring up me being single i’ll take you out for ice cream, brat.”
୨୧ — You knelt gently on the cool stone floor of his temple, your delicate hands arranging a bouquet of colorful blooms in a vase. Your soft melodic humming weaved through the air and turned the usually oppressive temple into something almost… domestic.
"Still cluttering my temple with this worthless garbage?" Sukuna growled, though his eyes never left the gentle sway of your movements. "Must you insist on filling every corner with these weeds?"
"They're not garbage, they're flowers!" You held up a bloom for his inspection, completely unfazed by his scowl, "This one kind of reminds me of you- all thorny on the outside…" you smiled sweetly at the flower, a tint of pink dusting your cheeks, "but the petals are so soft."
The mouth on his stomach let out a derisive snort.
"Comparing the King of Curses to a common weed? Your boldness knows no bounds, does it? I could burn them all to ash with a thought," he threatened, multiple hands clenching, "Turn your precious flowers to nothing but dust."
"Buuut you won't," you sang out, struggling slightly to stand with your swollen belly. Before you could wobble and lose balance, his hands were there, steadying you. The moment he realized what he’d done his gentle touch turned into a somewhat harsh grip, the action of tending to you making him bare his teeth in self-disgust.
"Pathetic," he spat, though his hold remained carefully mindful of your condition, "You're as weak as these weeds you love so much." He clicked his tongue, "Tch, and I don’t believe I gave you permission to move, know your place… woman."
"Hmmm~?" You arched your brow at him, "And where is my place?" You asked playfully, leaning into his touch despite his harsh words. Your hand reaching up to caress the curse marks on his arm.
The mouth on his stomach snapped its teeth, "At my feet, where you belong."
"Funny," you mused, "that's not where you kept me last night~."
His grip tightened, just shy of painful, "Watch your tongue, little lamb.." One hand found your throat, thumb pressing against your pulse point in warning, "That tongue of yours grows bolder by the day," Sukuna snarled, another hand tangling in your hair with barely contained violence. "Perhaps I should I finally rid myself of that mouth of yours..." his nails drags across your neck, "rip it out and feed it to-"
You merely tilted your head, exposing more of your neck to his threatening grip, "rip it out with those hands that hold me so carefully?" You pressed closer, fearlessly touching the mouth on his stomach, which immediately ceased its smirk.
"You're nothing but a temporary amusement. A warm body to entertain me. A vessel for my-"
The mouth on his stomach started to add something undoubtedly vicious, but fell traitorously silent when Sukuna heard the next words that slipped from your lips, "Is that why you check on us every night?" You asked, eyes looking at him knowingly, "To inspect your vess-!"
He cut you off by pulling you roughly against him, four hands positioning you exactly where he wanted you, "You talk too much." A vein pulsed dangerously in his temple before The king of curses releases a sound of frustration, "I'm ensuring what belongs to me remains intact. Nothing more."
"And you pretend too much," you whispered, standing on your tiptoes to press a kiss to his clenched jaw, "my fearsome lord who also waters his "vessels" wilting flowers as she sleeps soundly with his growing child."
Sukuna's eyes narrowed dangerously, "I do no such thing..."
He should have pulled away. Should have done what he’s done to others and remind you exactly why he earned the title King Of Curses... Instead, he found himself drawing you closer, allowing your warmth to seep into his cold existence.
"Your weeds are still worthless," he muttered against your hair, but all four of his arms continued to cradle you protectively.
Sukuna Ryomen wanted to destroy you. To erase your existence…
This pure, ridiculous woman who dared to mock his threats with smiles and gentle touches. But as you turned back to look at your arrangement of wee- flowers…, humming contentedly in his embrace, he knew with sickening certainty that he would tear apart anyone who tried to harm you and his unborn brat before he ever laid a violent hand on you himself.
You have had, quite frankly, what feels like the worst day of your entire life so far. Firstly, your slept through your alarm- twice- so you had to leave your dorm in a panicked rush with only the first messy outfit you could lay your hands on, your tote (thankfully) packed the night before.
Then, you had a room change for your lecture (that nobody told you about) and had to run across campus to find it, only to realise when you got there that the lecture had already started.
“Oh- sorry I’m late, it was the room change-“ you say, flustered from both the run and having so many eyes on you at once.
Your professor sighs agitatedly, interrupted in her lecture on Shogunate lifestyles and their parallels. “Don’t let it happen again.”
Opening your laptop, you scroll down through your emails to find feedback on an essay you spent days poring over, footnoting and editing in the latest hours the library will allow- plus several more in your room afterwards as your eyes grow heavy. You really thought you’d do well, you thought your line of argument was perfect; and then your professor’s email manages to rip it all to shreds.
Incorrect wording. This isn’t relevant. Remove this entire section. All sit around your document, with the most offensive of all being the ?? in the margin. Tears well up in your eyes as you scroll through the comments, and you know they’re only doing their job but seriously, come on!
You kept falling asleep in the lecture after that, didn’t understand any of the material- let alone make notes! - and when you stepped outside finally? Rain. “Fuck.” You groan, staring out into the soppingly wet path you need to take from the concrete overhang of the building.
Lots of rain.
And not the nice rain you like either, the kind of rain that hammers brutally down from the sky in an evil slant and soaks you regardless of whatever you’re doing to prevent it. You grit your teeth and bear it even as the wind picks up and throws water into your face, knocking you side to side with harsh gusts that only seem to get meaner as you walk.
“Are you fucking serious?” You huff angrily as the strap of your tote slips for the hundredth time, your work inside getting progressively damper. “Oh my god-“ and, on top of that, as you trudge past the campus cafe on the way to your boyfriend’s dorm, Ryomen Sukuna decides to laugh in your bedraggled face through the glass as he scarfs down a muffin he made a pledge buy for him. You’d flip him off if you weren’t gripping your bag so tightly.
You barely realise how upset you are before you’re kicking open the door to Satoru’s bedroom, clothes dripping water onto the carpet. “Hi, sweetheart!” He calls causally from where he’s sat cross-legged on his bed. “How was your lecture? I thought we could maybe order food later-“
He looks so cosy it genuinely angers you- rain tapping at his window, the glass barrier stopping him from ending up looking as drowned as you; glasses rest crookedly on his warm face as he taps something into his laptop. His head snaps up when he hears you sniffle, stood in the doorway to his bedroom. Satoru’s face softens instantly as he gets to his feet.
“Hey, hey-“ he whispers, cupping your damp face then pulling you into a hug as you hiccup, “what’s wrong?”
“I- my lecture got m-moved, and my professor hated the essay I spent hours on,” you sob pathetically into his chest, arms wrapped loosely around him, “and then it rained, like, so much, and Sukuna fucking laughed in my face, and then all my work got ruined and wet and now I’m all ruined and wet, too, and I just don’t understand why I can’t do anything right-“
Your boyfriend slowly walks you back until he’s lying on his duvet, peeling your dampened hoodie away so you can hug him better as you curl up into a sad ball against him. “I’m sorry.” He says, genuinely sincerely as empathy blooms in his big blue eyes. “Seriously, I get it.”
You pause, teary gaze slowly meeting his. It travels over to his open laptop, displaying reams of something that you don’t understand complete with diagrams and neat lines of calculation. It prods at something sensitive and embarrassed inside you, and you’re bursting into tears again.
“You don’t understand, Satoru, you’re smart enough to never get confused, you don’t understand how it feels to sit there and feel stupid because everybody understands the chronological sequencing and you don’t-“ tears roll down your cheeks and soak into his stupid Star Wars shirt with a Porg on the front that you love stealing. It aggravates you more that you’re not wearing it.
Satoru pauses rubbing your back, awkwardly waiting as you rip into him for his intelligence- but he doesn’t have to wait long, because you freeze midway through a complaint and look up at him. Like, really look at him, all perfect eyes behind glasses and messy hair, and take a deep breath as a fresh wave of embarrassed tears wells in your eyes.
You avert your gaze from his in shame. “Sorry.” You say thickly, “ugh. I’m being so annoying, aren’t I? You were probably busy, a-anyway, and s’not your fault I’m being stupid today.”
His gaze softens impossibly more as his big hands splay across your body, comforting heaviness and warmth that instinctually you find yourself leaning into. “You aren’t stupid at all, sweetheart.” He says, “even if you feel like it. You’re amazing. You understand stuff I don’t, even if I am better at physics than you.”
You laugh wetly. “You are.”
He grins, boyish and bright, and your heart flutters through your damp clothes. “You look damp.” Even as he says it, he’s combing his fingers through your messy fringes of hair to kiss the bare skin of your forehead as you settle into him.
“I am damp.” Your voice is muffled and a little mischievous in the way that makes Satoru’s eyebrow rise in interest. “My socks are soaked… and my jeans… and my shirt-“
He laughs. “Are you angling to borrow a shirt?”
You smile tearily against the fabric. “Yeah.”
Satoru laughs again, giggling into your slightly dampened hair. “Okay, sweetheart.”
Two hours later, you’re sat cross legged under the duvet of Satoru’s bed with your back to the headboard. You keep a pair of pyjamas here anyway, so you’re wearing the shorts from the set; the tank, however, has been discarded for another one of Satoru’s seemingly endless stupid Star Wars shirts.
This time, it’s an Ewok decorating the soft fabric, and the clothing swallows you whole as you feed yourself a gyoza mindlessly from the little tub you ordered from the takeout bag currently resting beside a stack of physics papers Satoru is ignoring for you.
“Ugh, unbelievable.” He says, rolling his eyes as the laptop shows a closeup of two lightsabers clashing. “The powerscaling is all off in these newer ones, I prefer when they used them like actual swords.”
You flick his forehead. “Stop being critical and watch the film, you’re just mad because you don’t like BB-8.”
“I just like C-3PO more-“
“He’s annoying, toru.”
“He’s logical.” Your boyfriend counters.
You frown and he stops talking. “If you hate the film so much, how come your shirt's from it?”
He sits up rigidly and sets his chopsticks to the side like he's preparing to defend his thesis in a debate instead of talk to his girlfriend about fictional droids. “I can appreciate the creature design while still finding the actual film lacklustre-“ you smile lopsidedly at him and he flushes a little nervously, but doesn’t stop rambling.
“I mean, if we were watching something like Return of the Jedi I could easily compliment the practical effects of the Sarlaac Pit- mmfph!”
You’re cutting him off again with a kiss, one that tastes just a little like soy sauce from his mouth and lipbalm from yours. As quick as it is, Satoru finds his hands reaching for you even as you pull away and settle back against his shoulder. He looks shocked. “But- you’re not gonna-?” He pouts.
You roll your eyes and reach for another gyoza. “Shh.”
You've been married to him for years. What you find in the shed makes you question everything.
Pairing: Husband!Sukuna x fem!reader
CW: character death, murder / homicide, gore (dismemberment, mutilation, blood, injuries), body horror, psychological manipulation / gaslighting, toxic relationship / unhealthy relationship dynamics, captivity / imprisonment / isolation, Implied cannibalism, mutual obsession
For my event INTERLACED
Ten years.
A whole decade.
Wasted.
You wear your wedding gift from him, always neatly tied or braided into your hair.
Ivory white and clean as a whistle. You kept it spotless.
A lace bow, with the most delicate trim and floral motifs.
Every day.
You loved Sukuna so much it hurt your heart at times, unable to properly show how much poured from your fingertips after touching his skin. Just a hug or a small kiss would have you flooded with love. All for him.
He was the same, you never knew any hardships when he was around, there to be a strong arm, a word that made you laugh, brightening your day. Never upset you, sure, he might be a bit rough around the edges, but you weren't perfect, either.
The purest kind of love and adoration, care.
Mutual obsession.
So when did it start going wrong?
Truthfully, you hadn't even noticed it. Nothing was amiss. Your mind about him is as spotless as your bow, your husband could do no wrong.
Nothing was wrong in your marriage, nothing had changed in your relationship.
But your surroundings were shifting.
Missing knives, but they were replaced with new, better ones a day or two after you began asking where they had gone. A safe tucked away in the closet, no clue what was inside.
"For our safety, sweetheart, you know how wild animals are."
Having to do more loads of laundry than usual. But Sukuna himself would do it, not letting you glance at his dirty clothes thrown into a pile in the middle of the hamper, reassuring you to leave it to him.
"Go rest, my flower. I'll handle it."
No questions about this odd tint of red around his fingernails that never went away.
Why was the shed locked shut?
The shed.
Just a regular tool shed, your husband kept his power tools and lawnmower there, nothing unusual for the house.
So why was it bolted shut day after day unless Sukuna strolled inside of it?
"Just working on some things in there, don't worry your pretty little head about it, alright, my doll?"
"You should be worrying more about watering the flowers instead of some junk in a rotting shed, my love."
Sweet words, easing your curious heart. He was a good man.
But you couldn't help yourself, could you?
Off at work, at least that's what your husband told you he was up to, not around to fill your ears with light whispers and reassurance of your growing paranoia.
It was starting to get cloudy outside, a storm rolling in from past the canopy of nearby trees. Your first sign not to step outside.
The second one was the lock on the wooden door.
You had the key, right?
Of course you did.
While searching for your slippers in the morning, you had peeked under the bed.
Taped on the underside of your husband's side was… something.
Now it was in your hands, your anxious, shaky hands.
Don't be nervous now, all you have to do is turn the lock.
Click.
You didn't reach for the handle yet, taking a shaky breath and shutting your eyes.
Sukuna wouldn't be mad, right?
No, no, he wouldn't.
The only way he spoke to you was through patience and gentle guidance. He'd just chuckle and show you what's inside himself, yes.
Manipulation and lies, sugarcoated to sound as tender as your flesh.
You didn't know, using that same feeling of safety to calm your nerves, peering at the door once again, your hand on the handle already, key in the lock.
Nothing to be uneasy about, it's just a shed with gardening tools and maybe some car parts. Stop feeling like you might get your neck snapped just by having a little look.
The door creaked open, louder than you would have liked. The treeline went silent after the uncomfortable noise. A third warning.
What you saw wasn't all that odd… the lawnmower in the corner, a grass trimmer, and a few shovels in a dark corner.
You stepped inside, leaving the door ajar.
The lamp in the middle of the shabby thing flicked awake after tugging on the string dangling down.
There was this faint smell of dread hiding behind the organization.
Your eyes flicked around, landing on the workbench at the far side. Your feet carrying you there before your brain.
A small jar of pulled teeth fell into your gaze.
Teeth?
The more you looked around, the items didn't seem so innocent anymore.
Thick rope and a few rusty saws tucked under the table.
Not rust.
Maybe the worst thing was a splotch of thick blood on the edge of a bucket filled with that same stench of impending doom.
It wasn't blood… just paint.
Your fingers reached out, you had to prove to yourself that it was nothing.
But the deep crimson stained your hand, the smell of iron hit your nose, and you couldn't keep the fantasy stable anymore.
Thunderclouds had hidden the sky completely outside, making the space darker than before.
The loud thuds of heavy raindrops hitting the tin roof of the shed rang through your ears, overwhelming your senses, hands trembling while looking at the glossy blood seeping into your nail beds.
You should not have left the door open.
"My flower, what are you doing in here?"
Sukuna had returned.
You snapped out of your trance, blinking and looking in his direction, hand reaching up to your head in search of the comfort of your lace bow, fiddling with it while watching your husband approach.
Rough hands cradled your face, gently checking if you had hurt yourself. Red irises did a horrible job of hiding his displeasure with you.
"You didn't harm yourself, did you? Oh my sweet girl… come here."
A hug, face smushed into the comfort of his chest. A steady heartbeat against your ear.
So he wasn't mad… good.
Your trembling hands clung to his back.
You couldn't see the way Sukuna's jaw clenched, nails itching to claw into your sides and squeeze you tight enough to have you pop.
"You shouldn't be in here. How about we go back inside and have dinner, hm?"
No questions about the key or your findings.
False safety.
Sukuna had taken you back in the house, sat you down, and helped heat up some food. It was silent while you ate, your fork barely able to cut through a soft vegetable, as the thought of the odd findings popped back into your mind.
"Sweetheart, why is your bow filthy? Messy girl."
Your fingers had stained a corner of it with the Incarnadine shade.
Scrubbing. Scratching, desperately washing both your hands and the lace, couldn't get rid of it.
You cried in his arms that night, gathered up in his chest, head lying against his.
Sukuna caressed your back, caressed your hair, and shushed you to sleep.
It was just a bow.
The truth was cracking from the seams everywhere you looked now. The house was lacking color, the dullness and real darkness creeping in from unlit corners. The ingredients in the pantry and the shelves in the fridge seemed to be rotten, tasteless.
Sukuna's face looked different, touching it made your skin tingle- as if it refused to connect with his.
Maybe it was because the romanticized image of him was losing its shape.
And maybe the fact that he refused to let you go outside.
No more garden work, too harsh for your puzzled mind.
The sun was too hot, even on a cloudy day.
You needed to relax, even after sleeping all day.
It was getting unbearable.
The front door was locked, the back door too. Sukuna was working in the study.
Trapped in your own safe haven, you needed to do something, so why not go down to the basement?
Your husband never said anything about the cold concrete box below the floorboards, knowing you were too scared to go there.
With nothing better to do, his logic was being proved false with every step you took down the squeaky stairs.
You found the light switch, getting a yellow, old hue illuminating the space.
Oh yeah, the freezers were down here.
Two, to be exact. Sukuna liked smoking meat and fish on sunny days, so you knew he used them to keep them frozen.
A little peek wouldn't do you any harm.
So what if your last gander took away your freedom to leave these walls? This was different.
As if.
The sound of the creaking steps had alerted him, no matter how slow you had gone.
Your tainted hands lifted the large hinged lid of the chest.
Just some plastic bags of red meat, parts of a pig, and venison. A large salmon head stared up at you from the side.
The eyes of the dead fish were gouged out.
The lid went back down, now wanting to see if the same contents were in the second one.
You should have stopped with the first one.
At first the same plastic bags stared up at you, what looked like minced meat and animal body parts.
Not that human hand though.
Sawed off from the bicep, a fleshy limb wrapped in the same plastic bag, but oozing crimson from the palm made eye contact with you.
The color drained from your face, doubling over and pulling the dismembered part out, your own arms shaking while looking at the frozen appendage.
Bile churned around in your stomach, a sour, watery taste taking over your mouth.
The stairs were still squeaky, making sound as heavy footsteps rushed down.
"Flower, what are you up to now?"
Once Sukuna's head went low enough from the upper floor, seeing the sight of you holding something you never were supposed to see.
Your hands dropped the bag immediately, clattering to the basement floor, a part of the bag opening, the smell of decayed flesh hit your nose once again.
"My angel, are you trying to get yourself in trouble again. It hurts me to keep you locked away, but if you keep fooling around, i might just keep you in one room and tend to you."
His voice was gruff, trying to sound smooth and caring, but it was clearly impossible to do so.
He tried to reach out to you, blunt nails touching your hair, easing you to step into his embrace. Just like any other time to have you calm down and trap you in his arms till he felt you'd deserve freedom.
His palm crushed your skull into his chest, Sukuna acting like he wanted to infuse you inside of his ribcage.
"Silly thing, must you keep poking your nose in my things?" He cooed into your hair, but you swore you could feel his canines trying to bite into the top of your head.
"We will go upstairs, watch a movie, and forget all about this-"
"No!"
You never spoke against him, so the sudden outburst had Sukuna's grip faltering, you shoved yourself off of him, looking more panicked than ever, not letting him worm his way into your logical thinking.
"Come back, you little…!"
You stumbled back, tripping over the same arm, trying to grab onto the freezer but it did nothing, crashing backwards with a thud.
Thankfully it only gave you a faint dizziness, scrambling up right after.
A tattooed arm wrapped around you, holding you tighter than before. He wouldn't let go now.
"You hit your head, my dear. It's bleeding. Maybe you shook your little brain back into place. I told you, we are forgetting about this and watching a fucking movie."
He dragged you back up the stair by your middle, not caring about you tripping over your own feet, not caring that you were looking at the melting limb on the ground and the image of pooling blood and peeling skin underneath a plastic sheen was the last thing engraved in your mind before the lights got switched off.
He sat you down, giving you a stern glare before disappearing into the bathroom to grab a first aid kit for your bleeding scalp.
The gash was above your bow, it still neatly wrapped into your hair, the thick red seeped into the middle of the ivory lace. Stained worse than before, just a few spots keeping the previous ivory color safe.
His fingers were gentle, parting your hair and cleaning the wound with stinging spirit. Your eyes blankly watched the subtitles flow as some old western movie played on the television.
You didn't dare look up, not wanting to see the cold glaze in his irises, knowing Sukuna wanted nothing but to take away your air and put you to sleep.
You weren't the one slumbering.
The only way you could end this nightmare was to snuff out the source.
It was past midnight, a large, full moon shining trough the tightly shut windows. Your bow hanging on by a few messy locks of hair, a bandaged wrapped around your skull with a red splotch on the back.
A knife, your favourite one to cut up fruit. The one with a pretty handle, engraved with both you and your sleeping husbands initials.
You stood over him, eyes almost bleary while watching Sukuna's peaceful expression. Like the day he asked for your hand, for the day he said he wanted to be yours. The day you bought a house together in the middle of nowhere.
If only you were strong enough, your breathing had turned shaky and bordering on gasping as your hand shook, unable to even process what you were about to do.
The last thing to give away your actions was a droplet, a salty and large teardrop rolling down your cheek and right on to Sukuna's lips.
His eyes shot open as if his senses were on high alert, an arm already reaching out to grab at you.
You didn't know what else to do besides listen to your mind- stumbling back and running as fast as you could.
Almost falling out of the bedroom after shoving the door open.
Sukuna didn't yell for you to get back. He was already chasing after you.
You couldn't hear a single thing, heart too loud in your ears- wanting to leap out of your mouth.
Glass shattered, sharp pain in your palms and legs while climbing trough the kitchen window.
Damp grass padding against your bare soles as you ran for the treeline, unable to breathe.
You don't know how far you ran.
Didn't know how long.
He caught up, he always did.
Why would such a silly girl like you think he had just let you go?
"My petal, where have you gone now? I can hear you."
It felt like he was right behind the tree you had hid, blunt nails digging into the handle of the knife you thankfully hadn't dropped.
You shut your eyes, holding your breath. But that was no use.
"My angel, come out."
Heavy footsteps approached, with no care stepping right past the thick bark of the tree.
A stab to the chest, your hands weak from fear but driven enough to push the blade right to his beating heart, ripping trough muscle.
Too shocked by your own action, the pain from the same type of sharpness slicing trough the side of your throat.
Maybe it was a bit romantic, the last time spent together, in each others arms, spluttering and struggling to breathe, buried in moss with a pale moon not even giving you the ability to see one another bleed out.
Sukuna had never kissed the top of your head as tenderly as right before his last breath.
"I love you."
Not like you could reply, blood filling your lungs and vocal chords sliced.
Already fading out together with the last beat of his heart.
The bow, the lacy thing no longer white, barely even recognizable by how much blood had been spilt.
Yoon's notes: hi guys sorry for the lame ass horror fic
Summary: There is a strange soul at the Final Night Cementery. They speak with riddles and rhymes that were long swallowed and eaten by time. Such soul just so happens to be very captivating to Flins, to say the least.
No warnings for today, yipee, fluff and only fluff
Wc: 1.7k~
Ever since Flins started living at the Final Night Cemetery, you had always been there. Resting at a tomb, with a serene yet haunting look on your face. If Flins were to admit it, you were truly one of the most captivating souls out of the whole graveyard.
You always spoke out loud. Sometimes he was present, sometimes he wasn’t. You didn't seem to care much anyway. Always speaking your truth, even when there was no follower to listen. Often times, you spoke in riddles, telling old stories that made Flins doubt if you were something else than a wandering soul, or just... a lunatic.
Just then, you changed topics to talk about the weather. A classic.
As far as Flins could tell, you were... unusual. In other words, weird. Well, Flins couldn’t be bothered to be annoyed or judge you for it. After all, his true nature wasn’t exactly human.
Sometimes he wondered if you knew his true identity. Your eyes seemed to pierce close when he did something out of the blue. You stared for a few seconds, then turned your head away when something was more worthy of your attention that the Fae standing infront.
And much to Flins judgement, you were also very... pretty. Gorgeous even. Flins had watched centuries of years pass by. Different monarchs lead and pass away, and on. Yet your beauty compared to none of those.
You wore your head high at him.
Eyes as pale as the morning sunlight, usual in the dead, but specifically beautiful on you. Smooth clothes made out of long, flowy, maybe fancy fabric.
"Is is silk?" He asked you once, with a curious smile.
"... I don't seem to recall. Silk didn't exist back then, i'm pretty sure."
Your hair looked well-taken care of before you passed away. Intrique patterns resting in all the right places as the rest of it followed the lead of the wind.
When Flins first found you, you were resting on your own tomb, leaning against the cold stone as you sat cross-legged. The tomb behind you had its name scraped off, worn out with time and lack of care.
He asked you your name. You responded with a cold smile. Not because it was rude, it just looked like your usual expression. Then, you spoke. Your voice carried a serene tone, comfortable enough for him to melt on the spot. Your voice seemed to echo over the place, even if you tone was low.
"... It's been a while since there's been a caretaker. You don't seem scared, i will assume you are the owner until proven otherwise." Your smile grew as you stated, and something inside Flins began to search its way to you.
... Yeah, Flins had a bit of a crush on you.
Though, if anyone were to ask, he would merely call you captivating. Make a reference or two about your weird speech manners, and move on with the conversation just to make sure the person he had spoken to, didn't catch the red glint on his ears.
You spoke to him. Often. There was some sort of devotion in your tone, he couldn’t tell exactly. You had confessed various times to wanting to help him. Have a better form than being.. a ghost. A mere and pathetic whisper of your real form.

When Flins went fishing at the side of the beach, you often sat next to him. Your legs pulled coosely by your chest as you watched Flins try to catch a fish and fail. Multiple times.
"... When i was alive, my followers used to adore the fishing industry. They tended to me with them. They brought them for dinner, lunch... never for breakfast."
He let out a laugh. A deep sounding laugh with a quiet tone, so it wouldn't startle the fish.
"My Lord," oh right, you called him that. "Is fish your... favorite dish?"
He thought around for a few seconds. Well it wasn't his favorite, but it was the one he liked the most... atleast.
He nodded alongside a murmur. You didn't seem to catch what he said anyway, and only stared ahead, at the sea.
"...That is pathetic." You stated again, as if it was the absolute truth.
"What?" Flins stared at you for a few seconds, maybe out of embarassement or confusion. But his look was cut off as the fishing rod finally caught onto something.
Flins pulled it out after a minute of struggling with it, it wasn't a regular sized fish, like the ones he usually caught, no, this time, the size was properly big. And Flins seemed quite content.
"Why do you think it's pathetic?" Flins asked properly, now looking with a gentle gaze over your face, where your eyelashes fluttered with the wind, and your eyes got lost in the sea.
"Back when i was alive, i didn't have to capture anything myself. Catching fish is just... a waste of time! Though, i do kind of miss the little humans."
Your eyes shut down for a couple of seconds as you sighed, seemingly recalling some memory from the old past.
"I believe that... humans often obtain the joy of eating a meal, by making the meal themselves." Flins tried to reason back to you, yet it seemed to fall on deaf ears.
"... Anyways. And how do you season this "fish"? What is it called?"
Even if you didn't mean to, or rather, didn't comprehend you did, you could be very curious about human life. Though, he wasn’t the best example of it.
Sometimes he caught you wandering at the beach, staring into the long sea ahead, and sometimes talking to another souls. Though the last was anything but common.

Flins slowly lowered himself beside you on the beach, you remained cross legged, staring at nothing in particular.
"The simple vast and emptiness of this place is... overwhelming. In a good way, of course." You muttered slowly, tasting each word on your tongue before deciding it was proper and and well-mannered, "what are you up to today, My Lord?" Oh that damned nickname again.
"Nothing much today, just... helping around with Lightkeeper's stuff. Today i helped Captain Illuga, the Wild Hunt has been rather persistent lately."
"Is that so?... Help yourself then, you should quit. Or better yet, let the rest do the work." As selfish as the words could seem; Flinx knew you meant well. Oftentimes, you told other souls to just suck it up. In comparison, this was.. better, atleast.
Flins uttered a low laugh, amused by your words. "Can't," he replied, "I've been working for very long; pays well. Besides, i have a... debt to sail." Yes, a debt sounded like a nice way to put it.
"A debt?" You replied back, "Huh... don't have many of those. I hope you can get rid of it soon," "Thank you."
Out of nowhere, you seemed to scoot closer to him, closer than you already were. A ghost's movmente never made any noise, nor had any warmth, if you weren't watching them, a ghost could perfectly puff away without notice. Your ghostly fingers hovered over his,. It was electrifying, overwhelming. It felt like nothing yet all at once.
Your fingers passed through his without a thought. Un-tangent and ghost like.
".. Krylyll," You muttered his name, and this time, finally turned to him. Your pale eyes ghosted over his, and Flins, for a second, thought he might just poof to dust. "Yes?" He responded, trying to speak as controlled and composed as he could (he couldn't.)
"... After all this time," you continued, voice muffled against the sea waves ahead. You looked away, then looked back with slight shame, "...i confess. You might be my favorite mortal."
Flins paused at your words, and his pale cheeks seemed to dust faintly of pink. Your shoulder swayed slightly as you spoke, and your hair followed along. You tilted your head into a sweet pose, and that's when Flins realized.
... Were you trying to flirt?
Flins called you out by your name, and you stopped dead on your tracks. Caught. Your pupils seemed to fail you, you scooted away from Flins, and a light, imposible blush seemed to dust your face.
Oh for Celestia's sake... Flins hadn't seen you blush until now, and as he currently did, he considered himself unworthy of such sight. Your blush was overwhelming yet light. Puffing your face and neck with a gentle red.
Flins uttered a laugh, slow, low and precious. "Mhm," he hummed, scooting closer, "Don't be so shy now." His hand stopped right beside yours, you didn't felt anything on your hand, but the coldness emanating from his hand was evident.
"I have to admit myself," he started. "You are also my... favorite, among the death. Captivating, if i must say." Your body seemed to lean backwards, avoiding his. Maybe out of shame, or embarassement, either way, Flins thought you looked absolutely adorable.
"... Back in the day, i used to receive compliments. Vague and empty ones, only to receive my blessings. But tell me, Krylyll, why do your words feel so...full?"
Flins' lips curled upwards into a smile, then a small sound came straight from his chest. A warm, deep laugh, it made you want to puff on the spot.
"Don't laugh.." you whined.
"Mhm..." he let out a low hum as he thought. He brought two fingers of his to press against his lips, and his eyes fluttered shut in such a caring, careful way. He pulled away from them, his body inched closer to yours as he brought the fingers to your ghostly face. If he wasn’t careful, they could've passed the surface of your skin, but he was. His fingers pressed exactly on your rosy cheek. You let put a sigh, and stopped leaning away.
"I wish. Sometimes i wish, My Lord, that i didn't have this body. I wish i could do more things with you."
He let out another hum, pretending to think. "I don't quite agree," "Why?"
Flins remained silent before speaking again, tasting each word on his mouth to make sure it was proper and didn't hurt you.
"Because, dear," he replied. "I met you in this form. If i didn't meet you like this, then, when could have i met you? Besides.."
His hand pretended to cup your cheek, without passing the skin, your smile grew a bit into something warm and uncommon.
".. I believe you are simply divine like this. Beautiful amongst death."
“so that’s our answer?” sukuna asked. he didn’t understand why he had to basically beat around the bush just to find the correct answer. math was beneath him.
“not quite… we’re almost there,” you said, trying to keep your voice upbeat. he’d gotten all the questions wrong on the same topic, so you didn’t want to discourage him. plus, the allotted time for tutoring sessions ended in—you glanced at the clock—around ten minutes. maybe only a miracle could help him.
sukuna groaned softly, dragging his hands down his face. “does any of this make sense to you? it’s idiotic.” he gestured to all the work on the page with his hand.
you blinked at him, trying to not let your face falter, but it was hard with the way his eyes bore into yours. you quickly looked away and cleared your throat. “we’re almost there.” you glanced the clock again before grabbing your pencil again. “now, do you remember what to do…here?” you tapped the tip of your pencil where he left off. he frowned at the page and grunted.
“i can’t even see from over here,” he complained. he moved his chair closer to you, scooting over to the point where your arms were touching. now, you were painfully aware of his presence. your heart stopped as he leaned in even closer to see where you were pointing. the smell of his cologne wafted through the air. to your surprise, he smelled good. you thought frat guys hardly showered. sukuna smelled fresh and clean in a way that was oddly comforting.
sukuna smirked, realizing he had thrown you off track. “you were saying?” he asked, not even trying to hide his amusement. you cleared your throat. where were you again? your mind blanked as the numbers stared back at you.
“you alright?” his voice was practically in your ear.
you nodded, swallowing hard. the way your heart pounded frustrated you. you only had a few minutes left to make sure he left the session understanding the content. yet, no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t think straight.
“i think we were here,” he leaned in and pointed on the page. the way you froze as he inched closer didn’t go unnoticed by him. you nodded frantically and put your head down, writing frantically.
“woah woah, slow down. geez, i’m struggling here, remember?” he chuckled as your hand slowly came to a stop. you lifted your head up, ashamed you’d left your mentee behind in the dust.
“i’m so sorry, i have no idea what’s going on with me today.”
“i think i might have an idea of what it might be.” he grinned, eyes sparkling with mischief.
your heart dropped to your stomach. he couldn’t know—could he? were you that obvious?
“i am so sorry. i promise it’s not like that at all. i’m just not used to being super close to people during sessions—or like, ever—so that’s my fault for not being as focused as i typic—”
“woah, slow down. i meant the way you kept checking the clock. you got somewhere to be?” he tilted his head slightly and studied you. “boyfriend?”
“what? no! i uhm—” you stammered. you wanted the floor to open up and swallow you whole. somehow, within the span of thirty seconds, you exposed yourself to your cute classmate under little to no pressure from him. that had to be a new world record.
he grinned at you. “okay good, i’m glad to hear that. now, can we please finish the problem?”
“of course we can and—wait what?”
sukuna checked the time on his phone. “shit, looks like we’re out of time. same time next week?” he raised an eyebrow at you. you could only nod and watch as he gathered his things. he waved goodbye before walking out of the library. you slumped your head on your textbook and let out a frustrated sigh. now you had to spend the next week trying to figure out how to wipe someone’s memory. starting off with your own.

or, go through the series tag here.
streamer choso wakes up, phone blaring hot from being on the phone with you all night. he doesn’t remember much except for uncontrollable giggles from the two of you and hushed voices whispering sweet nothings to each other.
he taps his phone, smiling at the sight of you still in call with him, your soft snores filling his body with warmth and happiness. he knows you two barely know each other well, and even if last night went better than he could ever dream of, he wants to appreciate you. he wants to take in everything about you, and what you want to show him. if you want to take things slow, then he’s at your mercy.
he goes on mute, not wanting to disturb your slumber and prepares himself for the day ahead. now that his mind is at ease from the worries of possibly scaring you away, he feels free to do what he usually does.
it’s only an hour later when he comes back from the kitchen, looking at his phone to notice that you’ve left the call and him a message.
loved talking to u :) same time tn ? lol ..
he smiles.
of course pretty girl
the smile doesn’t last too long on his face when he hears a discord call on his computer from his headphones, seeing that it’s an annoying bug calling him.
gojo satoru.
streamer choso begrudgingly answers the call, making sure to sound as annoyed as possible when he says, “what do you want from me.”
“sheesh! she still hasn’t answered your creepy ass?” gojo teases, and choso can hear the disgusting smirk on his face.
“she actually did, idiot.” choso rolls his eyes, and now it’s his turn for a smirk to appear on his face. “we slept call too.” gojo gasps at this, voice breaking the sound barrier and cutting out his gasp-turned-scream.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! TELL ME ALL THE DETAILS RIGHT NOW!!” gojo is screaming in choso’s ear, and he is not having it. as revenge for ruining his mood, choso chuckles evilly to himself before leaving the call, ignoring the flurry of messages from gojo demanding details and inside scoop.
streamer choso, who two hours later after gojo was screaming in his ear, is finally back on stream. his chat is happy to see him, and although choso can’t stop thinking about you, he is just as happy to be talking to his viewers again.
he’s in call with his friends, all of them in a game of valorant, lobby full for comp. they’re sat in the lobby, patiently waiting for shoko to come back from the bathroom so they can start the queue.
everyone is doing their own thing, choso on push to talk so he can peacefully talk to chat without his idiot friends thinking he’s talking to them instead.
“i’m supposed to duo with suguru later so i can get to rank 1,” choso replies to a chatter, eyes fixed on his chat. “he’s out doing errands with satoru though.”
speaking of, choso is more than glad that geto has gojo distracted for the day. he’s unknowingly making things easier for choso. after all, he doesn’t want gojo to run his mouth off before he can even sort out whatever is going on between you and him.
and although the group knows of choso’s growing… um…. ‘obsession’ with you, only gojo knows about what went down last night. and like an idiot, choso allowed that to happen, all because gojo irritated him too well to the point where he couldn’t think before he spoke.
“i’m back.” shoko’s voice catches choso’s attention away from chat. “you can sta—” shoko is, unfortunately, cut off with a join sound, accompanied by a grating voice.
“—CHOSO HOW DARE YOU LEAVE CALL AND NOT TELL ME THE DETAILS ABOUT YOUR SLEEP CALL WITH HER.”
of course gojo fucking satoru comes back and drops a bomb like that. on stream too.
the call is quiet; choso is rubbing circles on his forehead to qualm his growing headache, gojo is silent as he now realizes the purple icon on choso’s status, indicating that he’s live on twitch, and choso’s chat is going crazy asking choso who this mysterious her is.
“sleep call?” itadori chimes in, backed up by shoko who follows with a yeah what is stupid face gojo talking about?
“i’m on stream you imbeciles.” choso sighs, unable to look at chat or else he’ll be obligated to answer their questions.
“i’m so sorry..” gojo says quietly, but the group knows he’s the opposite of sorry. he does feel bad for exposing choso’s private life unknowingly, but what’s done is done.
you, on the other hand, are on your pc watching choso’s stream with a fat smile on your face, cheeks heating up from the sense of pride bubbling in your chest at the fact that he’s told his friends about you.
with a cheeky smile, your fingers move swiftly along the keyboard and without regret, hit send on the message.
you: im the her guys :p
and just like that, chat goes crazy once again, and streamer choso is blissfully unaware.
doll notes ୨୧ a hc of mine is that a couple of weeks ago gojo has actually shown ur twitch to the friend group before talking abt how how he found u funny and hot and choso ignored him maybe didnt even SEE it so now gojo is xtra mad that choso “stole his girl” without even knowing
cameraman!choso who you met through another streamer friend, when you mentioned you were in serious need of a new camera man, since you had to fire your last cameraman due to his inability to hold a camera straight.
satosprettygirl: just give me the camera bru
kudos2kuna: bro can NOT be a sniper
gummygumi: omg the camera is so shaky
sweetyuuji: im getting motion sickness just from
watching
cameraman!choso who you thought looked way too attractive to hide behind a camera when people would lose their minds just to get a glimpse of his striking features.
cameraman!choso who made the chat go absolutely insane when you introduced him as the new cameraman.
“okay chat, ive heard your complaints about the human earthquake, so i hired a new cameraman!” you exclaimed, happy you can finally get chat off your back. “come on in choso!”
choso walks in, holding the heavy camera equipment not noticing the absolute meltdown the chat is having.
gushyguro: HOLY FUCK
tojiswallet: this made my hole week
sukikuna: #GEMMETHATDIHHHHH
“hi guys im choso, your new camera man” he says, taking a seat next to your gaming chair.
the chat is insanely fast after hearing his naturally deep voice.“wow chat really likes you,”
cameraman!choso who compliments you when you dress up for events which makes you and him blush like the chat doesnt exist.
cameraman!choso who notices the unspoken tension you guys hold between eachother but doesnt say anything about it otherwise social media will erupt in a frenzy.
cameraman!choso who gets slightly jealous -but doesnt want to admit it- when you collab with any male streamers which you dont notice, but chat does.
shoko.cigs: ooooooo choso’s jealoussssss
nanacanexpandthisdomain: i can feel the jealousy
from here
cameraman!choso who gently puts his hand on your waist to guide you through crowdy places.
cameraman!choso who ends the stream when he knows you’re feeling down after reading a hate comment.
cameraman!choso who gets protective possessive when he feels that you’re uncomfortable around a parasocial fan.
cameraman!choso who has strong feelings for the streamer who hired him.
a/n: im sooo sorry this was so rushed/short and im still on writers block… REQUESTS OPENNN
fushiguro toji is in bed, resting on his stomach. you’re there too—ignoring all the available space to lie down on his back instead.
“i gotta piss.” he grumbles. you sling your arms around his neck. “then go.”
his chest rises in a slow exhale. toji pushes himself upright and makes for the bathroom, bringing you by extension.
not long after, you’re out running errands. toji doesn't even look back when you grab his forearm mid-stride.
he keeps walking until your hand slips away. then he slows his pace until you catch back up.
you look him dead in the eyes. “carry me.”
toji stares, flat. he’s almost starting to develop respect for the audacity you bring. “you have legs.”
“but i’m tired.” you haven't even broken out a sweat. “i figured.”
so there he is, carrying the stubborn backpack that is you. people are staring, and when a passerby nearly bumps into you, he pauses long enough to hitch you higher. “i’ve seen less needy strays.”
later at the convenience store, you’ve shifted to hanging off toji’s side. he tries to pay for a discounted ready-to-eat meal, one arm down.
the clerk sets down his change on the tray. “off. need my other hand.” you squeeze tighter.
toji tsks, scooping the loose coins from the tray. the clerk— sweating bullets, awkwardly packs the heated meals into separate plastic bags, before carefully looping them over toji’s free wrist.
eventually, he’s watching some tv while scarfing his food down. he stops chewing to look at you as you look up. “outta the way.”
you take it as an opportunity to wedge yourself between him and the coffee table, settling right between his spread legs.
he leans back into the armchair and you come with him, pressed tighter against his chest.
toji reaches out for his chopsticks, continuing to eat over your shoulder—his arm settling around you like it’s always been there.
some time later, toji makes a move towards the doorframe bar for some pull ups. so do you, wrapping your arms and legs around his body.
he stops mid-rep, free-hanging as you dangle off him. “seriously? do i look like a jungle gym?” you giggle. toji drops without a grunt after doing three more.
next toji drifts towards the corner of the living room where he’s set up a bench and some dumbbells. you interrupt as he’s doing some standing bicep curls.
“sit down so i can sit on you.”
toji’s eyes wander to the couch right behind you. then he’s putting the dumbbell down, and sitting back to pat his lap once. you get on.
toji sighs. he really should be concerned about how quick he is starting to give in to your demands. “we have a sofa.”
“i know.” he continues the set. “this is wrong form.”
“is it?”
“yup.” he doesn't move you.
last stretch now. core locked—toji holds a plank. you assess the situation for half a second before deciding to sit on him again, this time cross-legged.
a full minute passes. toji doesn’t acknowledge you.
“done?” you probe, scrolling on your phone.
“no. will say.” toji holds it for three more minutes. you stumble and nearly fall as he switches to push-ups.
back in bed at the end of the day, you crawl over to him and bury your face in his chest. toji doesn’t even raise an eyebrow.
“always gotta be on me, huh.”
you pull back—he catches your wrist and silently keeps it in place. “pain in my ass,” he mutters under his breath as his thumb traces a slow circle against your skin.
frat!kuna finds reasons to talk to his tutor outside of sessions ! (shy!reader)
it was currently three in the morning and for some reason, your phone was going off. you lifted your head up and reached over to grab it. you winced as the bright screen blinded you, squinting and groaning softly. after you recovered, your jaw dropped. to your surprise, sukuna of all people was blowing up your phone.
sukuna: hey, you busy right now?
sukuna: and it’s alr if you are, nws
sukuna: or like, if you’re not in the mood to talk too, that’s fine.
sukuna: just lmk
you were baffled. he quadruple texted you within five minutes. part of you wondered what was so important. you shot a glance at your roommates bed. it was empty. before you lost your nerve, you hit the call button on his contact.
he picked up after the second ring. despite you being the one to call him, you froze. what do you say? do you tease him for waking you up and quadruple texting? you were so in your head you didn’t release a good couple of seconds went by without a word from you.
“hello? you there?”
your stomach twisted in knots. it was just a phone call, why were you so anxious? he’s been nothing but kind to you ever since you met. the way you presented yourself didn’t seem to really matter to him. yet it mattered so much to you.
“yes, sorry,” you swallowed hard.
“soo… i’m assuming you’re not busy?” he asked, his tone slightly teasing. your lips curved into a smile and you quickly cleared your throat. you weren’t sure why you felt this way about someone you tutored. you didn’t mind them usually, but you never spoke outside of sessions, let alone did you look forward to them. you wondered what he wanted to talk about so badly. was it school related? what is it wasn't? either way, the butterflies in your stomach made you even more nervous.
“nope!” you immediately winced at how enthusiastic you sounded. you probably sounded like an obsessive dork. which you weren’t, not at all. you were above that. even though everything pointed to that.
"so i'm doing tonight’s homework and i'm lost. the process is long and stupid, and i don't really understand it. i was wondering if you could explain it maybe...?"
huh, of course he was contacting you because of schoolwork. you scolded yourself for even entertaining the thought that it was something else.
"yeah no worries." you said carefully. your enthusiasm has since faded. you felt like a clueless idiot.
"let me facetime you and show you." you froze, facetime? you were in your embarrassing pajamas, hair up in a bonnet, no makeup on. crap. the sound of the facetime request blared from your phone and your heart stopped. with a shaky breath, you hit accept and braced yourself.
"aw, your bonnet is pink. cute." he grinned at the phone. he was laying in his bed with his arm behind his head, no homework page in sight. you blinked at him. his compliment made your brain short circuit.
"yes it is, uhm, thank you." you cringed and moved out of the frame. you heard him chuckle and the embarrassment alone ate you alive.
"anyways, as i was saying..." he droned on about the problem and yet, there wasn't a notebook in sight. was he reciting it from memory? you offered some input and he thanked you, praising you for your help. you couldn't help but frown though. the problem sounded oddly familiar. that's when you realized: the two of you had gone over the exact problem last session.
"correct me if i'm wrong but, didn't we already go over this problem?"
it was his turn to freeze up. "oh? we did?" he asked all innocently, eyebrows furrowed. you gaped at him before giggling.
"yes, yes we did sukuna," you giggled.
"oh? then that's my bad then." he shifted and you could see a worn stuffed animal on his bed. adorable. "hey, those highlighters you used last time, where'd you get them?" he ran his fingers through his hair, a smirk tugging on his lips.
oh, so he did remember the last session. all of this was making your head spin. so was he doing this on purpose? was he making fun of your highlighters too? that was a low blow...
"from this stationary shop in town." you replied. your tone wasn't rude or anything, but there was definitely a shift. you didn't have it in you to hide your disappointment. you thought the two of you had somewhat of an understanding of each other. you thought it wasn't all in your head and that you got along pretty well.
"hmm. i want some, we should go sometime," he suggested. "i think they'd help me focus better." he shrugged.
together?!? you tilted your head at him. "oh no, it's okay, i can give you directions, you know..." you said timidly. first calling you at an ungodly hour, then asking to hangout? did tutors hang out with their mentees? you were pretty sure that didn't happen. like ever.
"i clearly have terrible, terrible memory, so i'd think it would be best if you went with me, you know? just in case." he wasn't even trying to hide his grin anymore. you could see all 32 pearly white teeth. you couldn't help but mirror his smile. the butterflies in your stomach wouldn't let up as it all sunk in. he's asking you out.
"okay then," you agreed, failing to contain your excitement. "just in case."

part one | part two | masterlist
the bar's busy for a usual saturday night but you and the girls have just managed to find a spot for yourselves. you, shoko and utahime are the only ones who have successfully made it out tonight.
the good thing about being a trio is that you can choose to zone out whilst shoko and utahime make conversation between themselves. nursing your third long island iced tea, you soon learn that your silence won't be for long because fortunately these women know you well enough to pick up on the fact that something is wrong.
"Are you okay girl? you seem out of it" shoko comments, turning her attention on you.
"is sukuna giving you hell again?" utahime chimes in, her straw stirring her own drink. the two of them know all of the ups and down of your relationship with sukuna and these were the two friends who stuck by closest to you whilst you were going through your divorce.
"no..." you begin but from the faces from the girls, it's obvious that you're not telling the whole truth. "okay maybe," you refine, "i'll start from the beginning."
shoko and utahime hum, ready to hear your story.
"so yuji made me do this prank call on sukuna, i don't know where he got this idea from maybe from a youtube video or his friends whatever, but yuji wanted me to call sukuna to say something stupid, like to say goodnight randomly to him right?"
the women at the table nod, listening along to you.
"and so i did it and-"
"wait you did it?" utahime interrupts with shock.
"yuji wouldn't stop going on about so i just thought 'fuck it' and, well i thought sukuna would understand that i wasn't serious about it but..." you trail off.
"but?" shoko chimes in.
"and then the next time we saw each other in person he was like weird-"
"a good weird or a bad weird?" utahime asks.
"i don't know, but like- he told me that i could call him anytime and to remember that. i don't know if he was serious but i can't stop thinking about it."
the reactions of the girls aren't surprising but they do raise a brow. they pause to take a sip of their drinks, collecting their thoughts and judgements. you shuffle awkwardly in your seat trying to regulate yourself in front of them.
utahime finally lets out a sigh, "oh i think he wants you back."
"what?" and almost immediately you can feel your face burn up just at the thought of sukuna still having feelings for you.
utahime nods, "trust me girl, you gave him a small opening and he's going for it."
"but it was a joke, i only called him because of yuji- without that i wouldn't have any motive to call him."
"but that's why he's going for it. who knows when his next chance to stir you up will be." shoko murmers.
your shoulders drop, your gut feeling anxiety from this conversation. "it's been years since we've been together..."
"so you don't want him back?" shoko questions.
"god no."
"are you 100% on that?" utahime asks, and at this point it feels like you're being interrogated by these two.
"yes?" your tone betrays you, not feeling confident in your answer.
"you have no feelings whatsoever for him?" shoko strikes again, asking for clarification.
a pause follows her question and there's no immediate answer that comes from you. the two women stare at you, expectant for an answer that you can't confidently give which tells them all that they need to know.
"i don't know." you finally admit, staring down at your lap. "i don't know if he's just playing and teasing me or if he's being serious."
utahime reaches out to you, placing a hand on your knee. "to me, it sounds like he's starting to win you back or at least he's introducing the idea. at the end of the day the heart wants what it wants."
shoko speaks up, fingers picking at her pack of cigarettes " all i do know is that you look like you want to pick up that phone and call him. you better do that soon girl."
/
you return back to a quiet house with yuji being at sukuna's for the weekend. you make a mental reminder to pick up after yuji's toys and clothes scattered everywhere but you'll do that tomorrow.
you're not completely drunk but you would be lying if you didn't admit that the alcohol has you tipsy. and when tipsy suddenly all decisions get the green light from your brain.
your first immediate thought is to head to the couch and pull out your phone, thumb clicking on the contacts app.
scrolling through your alphabetical list of names you reach 's' and your eyes search for sukuna. you know you really shouldn't but the devil on your shoulder - which is the alcohol - keeps prompting you to continue.
with your heart in your throat, your thumb immediately presses on the phone icon and before you know it the line is ringing. placing the phone on speaker, you bite down on your bottom lip in anxiety.
for a moment you think he won't pick up. for a moment you think you're a fool for even trying. for a moment you think you'll wake up with all this regret and the embarrassment that he'll have a notification saying 'missed call' from you. for a moment-
he picks up.
there's a shuffle for a split second before you hear his voice. it's low and raspy, his tone evident of the late hour that you're calling him.
"that was fast." he says and again you're confident that there is a smirk right there on sukuna ryomen's lips.
for a moment you're almost afraid to respond but the alcohol keeps you talking. "what was?"
"you calling me." sukuna sounds like he's been by his phone all evening waiting for you to call. his tone is expectant and unfortunately a little teasing.
"i just wanted to check up on yuji." you spill out, thinking about an excuse, any excuse.
sukuna lets out a pitiful sigh, "just missed him. he's sleeping. he's been fine though."
unbeknownst to you, yuji is wide awake in his room probably playing video games or watching cartoons. fortunately for him there's no real bedtime when it comes to staying at his dad's house.
"how was your girls night?" sukuna asks, "did you drink much?"
"good." you say, raising a brow. "and not a lot."
"that's good." he murmurs, "now you can't say calling me was a mistake and that you were drunk out of your mind."
"i mean, you did offer me to call you."
"i didn't think you would take me seriously."
"you were right in thinking that."
"but you still called."
"yeah, for yuji." you correct.
"but you're still on the line."
"oh, so you want me to go?" you tease and it's obvious bait but he takes it.
"no. talk to me." his tone is firm and sultry, enough to make you giddy, enough to put a smile on your face that you keep trying to hide with your hands.
"about what?"
"anything, enlighten me."
so you begin telling a new and updated story about that one co-worker at your job that seems to cause nothing but headaches. sukuna remembers your stories from your marriage, how you would come to bed some nights just ranting about them.
and before you know it an hour has passed and the two of you are still talking. well it's mostly you doing the talking because you're tipsy and your mouth can't stop running but sukuna throws in little hmms and grunts here and there to show that he's listening.
sukuna's raspy voice is almost enough to send you sleep and it deeply reminds you of the past and how it used to be, how you were feeling those vibrations physically as you laid on his chest telling him about your day.
but now you're doing it over the phone and your entire body gets overtaken by feeling of nostalgia, a small part of you wishing that you were on his chest talking about everything and anything.
your rambling comes to an abrupt end due to your emotions and your voice is a little quieter. "are you still listening?"
"course'" he says, and he lets out a breath before speaking again. "but i gotta go soon, the baseball game's early tomorrow."
"right, sorry, sorry, i'll let you go to bed." you internally curse yourself for getting a little too ahead of yourself.
there's an awkward pause before sukuna speaks again.
"you should come tomorrow. i'll buy you a ticket."
you freeze, "uhhhh i-" on defence your mind immediately searches for an excuse, "i'm busy..."
"doing what?"
"things." you lie knowing the only thing you have to do is clean up the house.
"hmmm things." sukuna says, his tone is evident that he doesn't believe you. there's another pause before he speaks and just when you think you've avoided anymore contact with sukuna his next sentence is enough to give you whiplash.
"well, if you're busy tomorrow then maybe some other time this week we could- uh- go for drinks or something..." if you were more sober you'd pay more attention to how nervous sukuna sounds right now, finally spitting out his words.
"drinks?" you repeat.
"casual. parent to parent. talk about yuji's behaviour or whatever."
"right, as if it's something that you couldn't tell me right now? you just told me he was fine."
"should definitely be said in person. i can get jin to watch him in the meantime."
"are you sure?" you ask, immediately suspicious.
"positive."
even though you know you shouldn't agree to this and the sober you in the morning will regret your response you can't help but agree to sukuna's plans. you know what he's trying to do and you can't help but fall for it. there's a long pause before you speak again.
"alright then. text me the details. goodnight sukuna."
"goodnight baby."
and before you could even reprimand him for calling you baby when he shouldn't be, he's hung up the phone. smooth fucker, you think to yourself but deep down in the pit of your stomach you feel giddy as a teenager.
"i need to pull myself together." you mutter to yourself, gathering up the energy to finally go to bed. throughout your bedtime routine you can't help but reminisce on your conversation with sukuna, you spent an hour on the phone talking to your ex-husband that you previously wouldn't spend ten minutes minutes talking to.
your thoughts, even whilst tipsy confuse you. you get a rush of adrenaline to keep the giddy feeling going.
and that's when you remember the box.
in the closet, sits a box in the top corner that you've been ignoring for years. today out of all days, this tipsy version of you chooses to go down memory lane. it's a small box, previously used for yuji's old school shoes but now it holds the sentimental things of your previous marriage that you didn't have the heart to throw away.
a few photographs. a letter. but the most important of them all, your wedding ring.
you hold up the ring in the light and it still glistens like brand new. at that moment everything comes back to you - all the worst memories that your ring has witnessed. arguments and fights and spilled tears.
it's a miracle that you and sukuna get along as exes despite the past as you know other divorced couples wouldn't have the same privileges.
as you place the ring back and close the box, you remind yourself of the person that you are now not the person that you were back then.
you won't ruin this current dynamic because of the slight chance of old feelings. you won't do that to yourself.
and most importantly, you won't do that to yuji.
you can't go back.
a/n: thank you for reading!!! part 4 i expect to dive into sukuna's pov more before their 'meet-up' and sneak peek into their backstory!
The bedroom is entirely silent, illuminated only by the warm glow of the bedside lamp on his side of the bed. It’s late, well past midnight, and Sukuna’s propped up against the pillows in nothing but boxers, holding a book open in his right hand, completely at ease, while the other is trapped beneath your weight.
Sprawled shamelessly across his side, your cheek pressed right over his ribs, you let your body go limp while your mind refuses to follow suit. Restlessness creeps in, your thoughts racing in circles, dredging up problems just for the sake of having something to gnaw on. The silence makes your thoughts feel way too loud, twisting a thin, ridiculous thread of worry out of nothing at all.
Your eyes drift over the page of his book without taking in a single word, and before you can stop yourself, the question tumbles out into the dim room, your voice barely above a whisper and oddly hesitant.
"You ever think I'm too clingy? Like... you ever wish I gave you more space?"
Sukuna freezes beneath your cheek, every muscle going rigid. After a moment, he drops his book onto the nightstand, tilting his head down, crimson eyes blown wide with pure, flat-out bewilderment. He stares at you, genuinely trying to figure out if he heard you right, like you’ve suddenly started speaking a completely foreign language.
"What the fuck kind of question is that?" he asks, his gravelly voice dropping into a low, stunned rumble that cuts right through the quiet air. He shifts under you, eyebrow cocked, shooting you a look like you’ve just sprouted horns. "Where the hell is this coming from? Who put that stupid shit in your head?"
"Dunno," you mumble, heat creeping up your cheeks as the words hang in the air, sounding even more absurd now that they’re out. Your fingers fidget with a stray thread on the duvet, eyes glued to the fabric. "My brain’s just being an asshole tonight."
A deep, exasperated scoff rumbles out of your husband, but the tightness in his jaw softens almost immediately, replaced by a raw, unguarded fondness that settles over his face.
“Woman, have you been paying attention to me at all these past few years? Seriously, think for one fucking second, idiot." The command comes out rough, but there’s no bite to it, just a lot of tired fondness. He jerks his chin at the bed, making you actually look at the state of things. "Look at you. You’re basically glued to my side, I can’t even move my damn arm. You’re in my shirt, you stole my socks, and your freezing-ass hand is between my thighs. If I wanted space, trust me, you’d be on the floor."
A tiny, involuntary giggle slips out of you, but he’s not finished. His hand squeezes your waist as he shifts beneath you just enough to remind you how much bigger he is.
“I’m a grown-ass man. I’m stronger than you,” he goes on, his voice rumbling right through his chest and into your cheek. "If I wanted to move, I'd move. But you? You’re glued to me every fucking day, stealing my personal space since day one. You climb on me when I’m trying to read, treat me like a mattress—and I never stop you. Ever think that’s because I want you there?”
His hand comes up, large and rough, calloused fingers curling gently beneath your chin, tipping your face toward his. Shadows flicker across his features, but his eyes lock onto yours with a fierce, protective devotion that knocks the breath right out of you.
“I agreed to that stupid ‘hear me out’ cake just to hear you laugh,” he rumbles, shaking his head, and at last, a wide grin splits his face. “I drove across the city so you could look at ducks. Does that sound like a man who wants less of you? Your brain’s being a dick. Tell it to shut up.”
“…fair,” you admit quietly, and the heavy, tangled knot of overthinking in your chest finally starts to unravel under the weight of his logic.
“Actually, hold the fuck on,” Sukuna growls, moving from underneath you to lean over you, completely wrapping you in his bulk. “You think you’re the clingy one?”
Caught completely off guard by the sudden intensity in his voice, you blink up at him.
“I call you every fucking day, or you’d forget to eat,” he starts, not giving you a chance to interrupt, his eyes locking onto yours. "Started doing that stupid skincare with you. Hid roses around the apartment just so you’d smile all day. Crawled under a fucking car because you wanted a cat. I panic if you’re not in bed, can’t fall back asleep till you’re back in my arms. Let you tank my fucking CS rank ‘cause apparently you gotta touch my arm every six seconds. And you think I want more space? You think I’d still be here doing all that shit if you were too much for me?”
You stay completely silent, your mouth parting slightly as you stare at him, your heart hammering against your ribs from the weight of everything he’s just said. He, on the other hand, is looking at you like you’re absolutely hopeless.
“Use your goddamn brain, woman,” Sukuna murmurs with a crooked grin, his deep voice thick with fondness. “Who’s actually clingy in this relationship? I’ve been chasing after you for years…” He trails off, clicks his tongue, then reluctantly admits, “…like a fucking idiot.”
Whatever heavy, stupid fog was clouding your mind finally lifts, swept away by a rush of pure warmth. A bright smile breaks across your face as your hands slide up his bare chest, arms winding tight around his neck to pull him down into a deep, lingering kiss.
Sukuna lets out a satisfied chuckle against your lips as he pulls back just slightly, crimson eyes gleaming with mischief. "Understood?"
A breathless laugh escapes you, your chest still fluttery with relief. "Yeah. Thanks, Kuna." You kiss him again, softer this time, lips lingering on his. When you pull away, you can’t help but smile, teasing, "And it’s definitely you."
He groans, dropping his head onto your shoulder with a dramatic sigh. "Don’t start, brat."
a/n: okay, so this happened because someone asked me to write about insecurities, and that ask somehow sent me down a completely different rabbit hole. i started thinking about the difference between insecurities and your brain just deciding to be an absolute asshole for one evening and… well, this happened.
dunno, maybe it's because my previous adhd meds used to make me overthink once they wore off, and it'd always be the most ridiculous stuff i'd never question in a million years otherwise.
Megumi can't fall asleep without being in your armsˎˊ˗ (wc 1.05k)
WARNING ⤷ manga spoilers !! this takes place more towards the ending of jjk after everything
When you felt the bed dip besides you, you knew better than to ask questions. You turned to the boy on your right and reached your arms out. Within seconds Megumi was being held closely in your grasp. His head was tucked carefully underneath your chin, hair tickling your neck slightly. You should probably brush his hair in the morning, but that's a problem for later.
This was common by now, he'd come to your dorm whenever he couldn't sleep. He used to knock on the window every night, but you learned to leave it open along with a stool right outside after noticing him struggling to climb in due to a new wound on his arm.
After Sukuna was defeated, the soon to be second years (Megumi, Nobara, yuji, and you) were assigned with a group mission. The night you came back, the four of you planned a little movie night. Though Megumi had left for bed early considering how tired he was; however, he found himself unable to drift off, mind too occupied with everything.
He slipped on a jacket and found his way to the common room, where he found you asleep on the couch, along with Nobara and Yuji on the floor.
He had laid down behind you, holding you tightly against him before feeling all his thoughts drifting away along with his consciousness. Megumi had went to sleep that night with a smile on his face, content with how it was. That was the time he realized he wanted to fall asleep in your arms every night.
The one time he tried sleeping alone again, he had shuffled around repeatedly before giving up. He even summoned his demon dogs to make himself tired and just have something to cuddle. Eventually he realized it wasn't worth it and knocked on your door.
And so it happened, he'd be at your room every night. And every night you welcomed him in with open arms. Suddenly he had needed someone to comfort him, someone to open their arms and tell him they're here. He didn't know why, maybe he did, but all he knows is you're there for him. You know he'd be in a heartbeat if you ever needed him anyway.
"Megumi?"
He hummed in acknowledgment, and nudged your cheek with his nose.
Your finger traced lightly over his burn scar before moving to the more recent ones you'd patched up. None too deep or threatening harm to him, that's good. His arm tightened around you and his face scrunched up when he felt your touch over a sensitive spot.
Sukuna made sure he left some marks when he took over your poor boy. Some would heal, some would stay. It wasn't hard to miss the way Megumi would seem a little more hesitant when going out, or opting to wear longer sleeves.
You leaned down and pressed a kiss on the burn that lay on the side his face, then continued with your lips brushing softly over whatever spot you could see on his face. His face heated up slightly, he opted to move closer to you and hide his face back in your neck.
Though you had made sure he knew just how much you loved him, with or without scars. It hurt seeing him so vulnerable whenever he was being tended too. He was still young after all, barely a teenager growing yet dealing with so much.
It's okay, he's still beautiful like this
Your beautiful boy.
He confessed to you one night the reason he stayed in your room more often than his.
"I feel safe here, with you."
You only smiled and held him tighter.
He never truly told any of you this, but you, Yuji, and Nobara were slowly patching up the scars inside of him. The scars that no one would ever be able to see. That's fine, his friends will make sure that they'll dissapear before anyone even can ask about them.
The death of his sister and the only father figure he ever knew almost ended him. But he was slowly healing, mentally and physically. It's a long way to go, but in the meantime he was learning to grow from it. You couldn't be any prouder of how he was becoming, and you knew Tsumiki and Gojo would feel great knowing how Megumi changed.
You felt him shift uncomfortably beside you and tighten his hold on you. His eyes were clamped tightly and his jaw clenched tight. Your thumb brushed over it slightly, easing the tension.
"What's wrong?"
"I think one of the bandages came undone."
You lifted the blanket out of the way and lifted up his shirt, there was a patch of red on the bandage covering the wound on his stomach. The piece was now loosely undone, barely hanging onto his skin.
"Stay here, i'll get a new one."
You got out of bed and headed to the bathroom, pulling out a first aid kit from the cabinet underneath the sink. You tried your best to be gentle when tending to the wound, squeezing his hand when the alcohol stung a bit. You finished wrapping up the last of his bandage and sat back on your heel just to stare at him. Megumi looked almost relaxed like this, he's such a beautiful boy, your beautiful boy.
"Let me get you a new shirt too,"
"No."
His arm grabbed yours before you could step out of bed,
"Hmm?"
"I don't need to change my shirt, just stay."
The air hung heavy between you two, but not the uncomfortable the kind. The kind that made you wish you could take away everything that's hurting him. He's getting tired of being by himself, he'll be okay if you stay. Plus how could you ever say no to your dear boy?
"Of course I will."
He eased into you when he felt your arm around him again, one hand stroking his soft like feather locks. He let out a sigh, finally falling into a slumber that will ease up his feelings, for now at least.
"Goodnight Megumi, I'll see you in the morning," you whispered to him, not knowing if he heard it or not. He only snuggled closer and let out a soft breath.
You know he still has trouble sleeping sometimes after all that's happened.
That's alright. You'll hold him tonight and every other night for the rest of your life.
As long as Megumi would remain safe in your arms.
in honor of s4 coming out soon 🥹 i am not ready to see Megumi go through everything FAWKK
I also just figured out how to make the small font 😎 just thought it'd fit better not sure why
Synopsis: You have a shy boyfriend. And the perks? You get to see him all pink in the middle of a street just because you guys hold hands?!
Listening to: Honeybee ~ Olivia Rodrigo
Megumi would never say it out loud that he loves you. He's reserved about the way he shows affection. He would listen to your favorite songs, stock up the pantry with your favourite snacks, buy you bouquets filled with the most beautiful flowers and a little note stuffed somewhere inside will make you feel loved with him saying it or the way he'd just admire you while you talk about your day, eyes filled with love. All of it just felt so....soft for someone who claims that they aren't affectionate.
He would love holding hands with you. He's gentle with it too. Fingers intertwined as you both walk down the street, or when you snuggle up when watching a movie, he would rub small circles on your hands almost absentmindedly or when you guys sleep, he would have his arms wrapped around you, his own face buried in the crook of your neck.
Though sometimes, he would hesitate. Especially when you are in public.
✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。✧*。
It was a Sunday, Megumi, Yuji, Nobara and you had finished with the tasks that Gojo previously had assigned. So you figure out, what's better than a stroll down the town? The four of you parted ways, Nobara dragged Yuji to a nearby mall, entitling him as her favourite 'bag holder'.
Megumi and you on the other hand were still together. Walking alongside the sidewalk as you occasionally glance at the other couples holding hands.
Megumi, though he was quiet, wasn't that dumb.
"Why are you staring at them like that?" He asks, trying to confirm his suspicion.
You hum at first and then look up at him.
"I'm not staring. That's creepy."
He raises an eyebrow at that, "Yeah sure."
You look at him for a minute and then he folds.
He pauses for a while before speaking up again, "I am not stupid, you know?"
You shake your head, "I know, but I don't think you'd do it."
"Do what?"
"Hold my hand.", you say it as if it was a dare, stopping right there beside him.
He stiffens at that. "Absolutely not."
You roll your eyes, "I knew it. You'd never do it."
And you begin walking again, this time faster than before.
He lets out a soft groan before following you, "Hey, wait! I didn't mean it like that!"
You don't stop. Why would you? It was fun to see him all riled up.
"Just say that you don't like me anymore.", you call out grumpily.
He sighs, "It's not about that, it's just weird... holding hands in public."
You stare at him. A face that screams 'Are you serious right now?'.
"You're too stubborn for your own good."
He murmurs before another heavy sigh leaves him, "But I'm moving away if Yuji comes back."
You chuckle but give him a nod. He lets you cling to his hand as you guys explore the streets, a faint blush creeping up his ear which he tries and fails to hide.
"Gumi, you look cute when you're shy." you tease him further.
"Shut up, idiot." he mutters under this breath but the pink just deepens.
ceo!gojo who had always lived an incredibly isolated life, never expecting to have anyone genuinely by his side. Especially after inheriting his father’s company, he quickly realized that every person who approached him was simply trying to take advantage of his wealth and status.
ceo!gojo who had sworn never to let anyone disrupt his strict, disciplined routine. Until the day he saw you moving into the apartment next door, frantically running around to ensure that not a single one of your art supplies was broken.
ceo!gojo who almost passed out the day you knocked on his door to introduce yourself as his new artist neighbor, offering him a sweet, dazzling smile. Doing his absolute best to leave a flawless first impression, his usual corporate eloquence completely deserted him:
“You can- uhm, I-I mean, you can always knock on my door if you need anything.”
ceo!gojo who completely lost the ability to find any peace in his own room the second he mapped out the floor plan and realized you shared a wall. Knowing that his bed rests directly opposite yours against the same wall ruins him.
The otherwise cool, untouchable CEO now spends his nights lying awake in the deafening silence, heart pounding as he strains to catch the faint, muffled sounds of you moving around on the other side.
ceo!gojo who was even more shocked the day you showed up for an interview at his company, having applied for a corporate position because your art wasn't providing a sufficient income to live on.
ceo!gojo who completely broke later that day. Sitting in his office chair, his flushed length was tight in his grip as he pumped himself up and down, completely undone by the mere sight of you at his workplace.
He quickened his frantic pace, biting down hard on his forearm to muffle the desperate sounds leaving his mouth. Especially when he heard your voice talking to someone not too far from his office door.
ceo!gojo who was wracked with guilt as he lay in bed that same night. Until the sudden silence of his apartment shattered. Through the shared wall, he heard the soft rustle of your sheets as you turned over, followed by the friction of wet heat meeting eager fingers.
His breath completely caught in his throat, every muscle locking tight as the quiet bedroom carried the desperate, muffled sound of a whimper slipping from your lips...gasping out his name?
ceo!gojo whose shyness completely disappeared the second he started doing the exact same thing on his side of the wall when realized the audio went both ways, he matched your rhythm, gripping his own length and sinking into the heat on his side of the drywall.
Abandoning all restraint, he made sure to be even louder than usual, wanting the dark bedroom to carry every ragged breath and heavy stroke straight to you, entirely intent on driving you crazy on purpose.
ceo!gojo whose phone lit up with a text message from your number just minutes later, followed by another. While his chest still heaved, a smirk spread across his lips as he read your messages.
“My door is unlocked. Come finish what you started ;)”
“If you’re going to be that loud, you might as well do it in my bed.”
Without a single second of hesitation, his shyness was entirely dead and buried as he headed out into the hallway.
ceo!gojo who pushed your door open with a slow touch, his striking eyes locked into you waiting for him in the dim space.
“You shouldn't have called my name like that through the drywall,” he growled softly, letting the heavy lock click shut behind him.
“Because now that I'm on this side of the wall, I'm not leaving until you say it a thousand times more.”

Movie night wasn’t supposed to mean anything.
Gojo had found a way to convince everyone in the common room, which quickly turned into good, exhausting two hours of arguing and bickering over what movie to watch and another sweet hour of Kugisaki criticizing and bashing everyone’s taste.
Eventually you all decided on the Notebook. (Mainly through Kugisaki’s protests) By the time the movie actually started, let’s just say… Nobody was paying attention. Cruel, I know.. I love the Notebook.
Yuji Itadori was the first to leave.
Then Maki.
Then Panda.
One by one, everyone disappeared.. even the man who hosted the event himself!! Until only you and Megumi remained on opposite ends of the couch.
Neither of you acknowledged it.
The movie continued playing.
You were tired.. like SUPER tired.
Training had run late. Classes have been nothing but exhausting. Missions were starting to pile up.
At some point, you felt your eyes closing.
You “fought” it.. or tried to.
You tried fighting for about 5 minutes.
Then lost.
The next thing Megumi knew, your head has found its way onto his shoulder.
He froze.
Completely.. like statue froze.
For several seconds, he didn’t breathe, didn’t move, nothing.
If it were anybody else, oh would he have shoved them off immediately.
But it wasn’t anyone else.
It was you.
And somehow that made things complicated..
So instead of protesting, he sat there.
Awkwardly.
Very awkwardly.
Trying his HARDEST to focus on the movie while being painfully aware of the new warmth resting against him.
Minutes passed.
Then an hour.
Then another.
He started to feel numbing, his shoulders started to burn, his neck so stiff it stated to ache.. But did he move?
Not once, He refused too.
Because everything he considered it, you shifted closer.. slightly.
Your body alone trusted him, even during a state like this. Wow how cute..
That thought for Megumi alone was enough to keep him rooted in place.
Eventually the movie ended.
Then another started.
He didn’t bother looking at the title,
He was looking at you.
The room grew darker, quieter.
The dorms settled into slumber.
Still, Megumi remained exactly where he was.
Until you finally stirred yourself awake.
Your eyelashes fluttered.
You sat up.
The first thing you noticed is where you’d been sleeping.
The pure horror on your face was instant.
“Oh, My God.”
Megumi looked away.
“You’re awake.”
“Hello? Why didn’t you wake me up?!”
“You looked tired.”
That made it worse.. You groaned and buried your face in your hands.
Then you notice..
He’s flexing his fingers… slowly. Like he couldn’t feel them.
“…Was your arm numb?” You whisper.
“No.”
“Megumi.”
“No..”
“Look at you, you’re literally stretching it??”
“It was fine.”
Megumi Fushiguro you little liar, it was anything but fine.
The silence lingered through out the room.
Then, as if deciding embarrassment was better than honesty, Megumi spoke-- barely above a whisper.
“You know, you drool when you sleep.”
“I WHAT?!”
That argument followed throughout the dorms for another ten minutes, Best believe you woke some people up.. oops.
And for the first time all evening, Megumi laughed.
Just once.
Quietly.
But it was enough.
Enough for you to stare, enough for him to immediately look away in embarrassment.
Enough for both of you to think about that moment far longer than either of you wanted to admit.
Notes : Thank you guys for the support on my last fic!! This one's a bit short, so I apologize for that. A little warning incase, English is not my first language & I suck at proof-reading so if you find any mistakes on any of my fic's, please lmk. Is now also a good place to say I do NOT tolerate AI, it's so stupid omg. ANYWAYS I've been watching Love Island and oh my gosh... it's insane.
