Nothing actually makes me more emotional than remembering that Neil and Charlie were BEST FRIENDS. Like what do you mean Charlie had to tell all his friends that his BEST FRIEND is dead. I’m a few chapters in and I’ve absolutely been drawn to the story and the characters it’s just fantastic

It’s fantasy in a world that kinda reminds me of the grishaverse or lies of Locke lamora with the general feel of things

(after googling the genre I guess I like Italian inspired fantasy who knew)

but is entirely it’s own story and magic system and it has this amazing charm and I just cannot say enough good things ab it
