What was wonderful for me was some of the action and the things I was learning with the sword and training, would inform things about my character that I was building and layering upon. There were certain aspects of the training that informed how Rei would move. I felt so blessed to have this experience where I really got to get in the body of the character, because a lot of times in television it’s just talking heads, you know, and you can forget to be in your body. But in this show, you had to be in your body, you had to be in it a 100%. Because otherwise we might have died, because I know there were injuries (laughs). It was pretty intense.
