Throwback to Pompeii from my study abroad trip to Italy (: Pompeii is beautiful and very eerie all at once. It's hard to explain how I felt-I ended up walking away from my group for a while just to let everything sink in. Ultimately we did not have a long time at Pompeii and I regret not spending more time at this amazing and haunting location. I want to return just to wander and get lost in the history again.
Even though I didn't bring this little guy home on one of my travels, it was gift from my little sisters choir trip to Spain. I have no idea what kind of #succulent this is- so anyone with #plantid help would be greatly appreciated. :)
Baby lions @ the National Zoo in Washington D.C. :) These little ones were so entertaining - I cannot express how sweet they were. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often.

Oh squirrel monkeys-why are you so adorable? I can't get enough of their faces and little hands and everything. I didn't even know how badly I wanted to see one until I did. I absolutely love them. This guy was chowing down on some spider web which was awesome. I can't get over how cute he is though.

The more I edit, the more photos that I absolutely fall in love with. The wildlife in Costa Rica makes my heart feel like it could burst.

I've been writing reviews (instead of working on homework because...reasons) and am feeling extremely thankful for my experience in Costa Rica. This trip was not the easiest for me emotionally or physically, but I am so SO glad I went. I truly believe that travel is a learning experience and as such, there is no "perfect" vacation. Sure, some trips are "better" than others. Sometimes you end up stranded due to a volcano. Sometimes you get sun poisoning. Sometimes you pop your hip out of place. Things happen. It's all part of the experience ... and I can't wait for the next one.
Travel Hangover
That’s the way I feel. I am a firm believer in the need for a vacation after a vacation, just to get me back on my feet. I travel hard. I think it’s because I don’t want to miss anything. Not one single thing. I am not the kind of traveler that says to myself “oh, I’ll do that the next time.” You know why? Because there is no guarantee. I want to go everywhere. Seriously-I want to try everything, and see new places, and meet new people.
So that means I’m left with this massive “travel hangover.” So basically I’ve been brainstorming the next step.
I enjoy few things more than just thinking, and choosing, and changing my mind - over and over again.

One of the best parts of being stranded was the chance to spend just one more night in Costa Rica. Since we were in San Jose rather than Manuel Antonio, we were able to get to the Hard Rock Cafe which is always a priority for me. I try to at least stop in a Hard Rock wherever I go, and have a massive (not to mention expensive) pin collection. The volcano eruption made that happen, for which I am very grateful!
Another shot from our sunset tour on the Ocean King. There are so many Pelicans to be seen-and I adore Pelicans. I know I've already said it-but I'll say it again. The sunset tour on the Ocean King is well worth the time and money :)
Find Dolphins in the wild? Check. If you have the chance and want to do a catamaran tour, I HIGHLY recommend the Ocean King's sunset tour. Views of the national park and wild animals, snorkelling and delicious food make for a fantastic afternoon. Well worth the price :)
