higgledy piggledy, don't walk repenting for miles through the desert -- you needn't be good.
the softness within you -- embrace it, permitting your animal body to love what it would.
tell me of sorrow despair unrelenting, i'll tell you of mine and the world will go on.
the sun and clear pebbles of rainfall are moving 'cross forest and mountains and rivers and lawn.
no matter who you are, no matter how lonely, look up at the clean air as wild geese take wing.
the world calls out to you, it's harsh and exciting, like wild geese, announcing your place in all things.
Higgledy piggledy, turning and turning as gyres are widening, centers unheld,
things fall apart and there’s anarchy everywhere; falcons fly freely and can’t be compelled.
Dimming the tide there is blood in the water and everywhere customs of innocence drowned.
Held by the worst is a fervent intensity; lacking conviction the best run aground.
Surely there must be some kind of apocalypse; surely epiphany must be at hand!
Visions unbidden from Spiritus Mundi of something awakening out on the sand:
Head of a man with a leonine frame and a pitiless gaze that’s as blank as the sun;
sleep became nightmare by passage of centuries long before eons of slumber were done.
Higgledy piggledy, beast of antiquity, imminent, just as the prophecies warn,
shambling slowly but revelatorily, slouching towards Bethlehem, there to be born.

im not sure why fake animal pics/videos get me so much more than any other kind of ai generated content that I regularly run into, which i am generally pretty neutral on. well actually ok yes i do know why, it's because they are lying, they are purporting to show real events and behaviors when those things never happened and usually wouldn't happen. they're dangling "here's an interesting and true detail in the world" in front of me and then when i look closer they're snatching it back and going ha ha got you. that wolf did not slip into a store to sleep in the pet beds, that alligator did not fling itself against a cutout of a deer, that crow-- this one really gets me. that crow didn't slide down a snowy roof on a lid or whatever it was. that crow didn't, that crow never existed, but crows are actually known to do that! there's real videos of actual crows sliding down snowy roofs for fun! why lie about it here??? so many really interesting or funny or charming things really do happen with animals in real life, i want to see or hear about those dammit! stop lying stop lying stop lying stop lying stop lying
yes this
and it also sucks because now whenever i see a cute or interesting animal video i'm always scanning it for signs of being fake, so i can't really enjoy the real ones
i sure do wish we were not making realistic ai video-generation with no easy way to tell them apart from reality

enough about the horrors. let's hear it for the wonders outside of human comprehension
An experiment in language change
Nifty little language game here.
I can read back to 1500 with basically no difficulty
at 1400 I have to read slowly and carefully, but I can understand all of it save a couple words
at 1300 I can still comprehend most of it if I read slowly, but a much larger percentage of the words are unfamiliar to me, even with context
1200 and earlier are almost totally unintelligible

Me when I'm old as fuck and my grandkids talk to me: this reminds me of a post. I gotta go find the post
Grandkids: grandpa sit down you don't need to show us a post
