just finished filing all insurance claims on our recent work up.

just a few weeks before my birthday, nagkaron ako ng longing for a little one. we wanted it for a while but we’re not seeking actively for help. well we wanted it to be as natural as it can be.. but realized we’re not getting any younger to wait for it and recently the longing and wanting got stronger that it urged me to try searching the OB my officemates reco’ed. I looked online, tried the first number that popped up not really expecting a reply but lo and behold, next thing i know im booking an appointment on my birthday. initially bec i dont wanna go to office that day not really knowing the surprise that awaits us 🤣

we started on my birthday. casual start lang na sige nga let’s see where this leads us but with full hope in our hearts. and it snowballed into an almost twice or sometimes thrice a week OB appointment. all parts of my cycle, she has to check. She investigated if Im ovulating, my hormone, sugar, uric and blood whatever level you can imagine, she checked if my tubes are blocked (thank God they aren’t) Gahd i even had to send a blood over a laboratory in Chicago Illinois. Im at the mercy of logistics gods to allow it to arrive within 3days so my blood wont spoil. It did reach the lab in 2 days. it was a whirlwind of emotions, a roller coaster ride that I have not fully processed because of the chaos in schedule, financially, at work and the emotional toll that was surrounding everything but here we are..

Not even 2 full months has passed and we’re at a quarter of a million — for just the investigation part 🤣 and some supplements and back to back appointments. not included are the more exciting (and expensive) part 🙃

Long battle/journey is still ahead of us and God, we ask for strength— and money 🤣 Grateful always for my and hub’s work, for Cigna, for all the wellness programs and the insurance coverage. I wouldn’t probably brave going through this if a chunk of this will not be covered.

Im also glad to have bosses who are supportive of this journey. they’re thoroughly encouraging. plusss they allow all my SLs, even last minute ones. nagtataka na nga rin yung OB ko how im able to go whenever she asks me back to her clinic. Like nagwowork ka pa ba? hahahahaa. Glad to report that im still able to hit 100% on my primary kpi.

I feel so accomplished after ticking off all the things i listed today and then some. personal errands included like doing reservations for my brothers bday dinner tomorrow, and depositing the last of the check i have on hand before my renter renews next month. also added sending in some inquiry on refinancing my home loan. bpi’s rate looks promising, and they respond super fast! cant wait to transfer this thingamajig and claim my interest subsidy. looking to shortening my loan term as well to finish it before im 50. ✨

di ko pa magawang ma excite sa tourney bukas coz huhu dami kong hinahabol sa work. i have grabbed a claim to be a sample for my mentee and the claim was more complicated than it should be. eeerr more of unclear/incorrect lang naman yung labels but it got complicated din kasi ang gulo kausap ng mga taga Pakistan. hahaha. iba sinasabi nila sa chat at sa email. but when we set up a call, things got better. but why do we have to in the 1st place? mas better sana kung inayos na lang nila submission nila.

13Jul26. 1st LIT. and i didn’t imagine it to be that painful. heck, i even schedule a training on Wednesday for pickleball while now, im not even sure i will be able to play well by tournament day on Saturday, let alone train 2 days from now! I also plan on working after the procedure and yet i cannot bring myself to open my laptop after 🤣

That intradermal injections were exceedingly excruciating albeit just for a few seconds. it felt longer than it actually was. 16 injections in total, some more agonizing than others.

we had some hiccups on the labs of my other donor, but glad it all worked out in the end. my nosy ass has its advantages sometimes 🤣

curious how my new “tatts” will look in a few more days. bracing myself to the upcoming itch fest they said would come in 24-72hrs. i shall soothe myself.

im eating 2-pc chicken mcdo!!! and this is me giving myself grace as i celebrate a month of no fast food, mostly eating veggies and fish. gaaahd, i cant believe na kinaya koooo! i noticed my skin getting clearer, my jaw more visible— not as sharp as i wanted it but there’s noticeable difference me thinksss plus there’s less puffiness and inflammation! i feel lighter too! ✨

halaaa! nakapartner ko sa OP pro player palaaa!! kaya pala sabi ko apakagaling nya 🤣 sinabihan ko pa sya after our game, ang galing mo!!! hahaha. pagka upo and dating ni hubby, sabi ko agad and galing nung nakapartner ko, sabay turo sa kanya. only to find out (from hubs) na pro player palaaa si ate. hahahahaa. amazed! buti na lang may naambag naman ako sa score namin na 2 service aces. lololol. pero buhat na buhat ako ee. ang lakaaassss!!

pickle hanggang ilocos 🤣 currently at laoag to attend a first birthday party ng anak ng office girlfriend at nauna pang magbook ng OP ang asawa ko kesa sa accommodation namin lol.

alsooo, i feel like my skin got better once i stopped all those sugary drinks and food that i unknowingly consume more often than i thought i did.

..i dont wanna talk about scale numbers but:

my weight has always been around 77-78kls for the longest time. minsan pa mag bborderline 80kls pag sunod sunod ang birthday celebs like in june, we have like 5 birthdays in the family.

my weight is heavy for a 5’3 person. so to be at 75kls, for just around 15days since we started our work up??? my brain iz like 🤯🤯🤯 and this morning, im at 74.6??? who are youuu??? sa bday month mo pa nga ano?? it meant you were able to discipline yourself and stay as close to what the doc said: only fish and veggies, no dairy, no white rice (red/black/adlai only), no gluten, no sugar/sugary food, even fruits except for apples— also no make up and no fragrance. hahahahaha. i’ve never heard a lot of no’s in my life until my latest birthday. 🙃

this is not particularly easy as a chimken loving girlie but yeah, it comes down to the biiig why— and it spelt all the difference. have not also downed like 13capsules in one drinking session— a mix of supplements and meds until recently.

haaaay, what a journey. it’s not even a month and these changes are making me crazy, not to mention the financial consequences it carries.. but nonetheless— im grateful! to my doctor, to my work, to our company insurance 🤣, to my body and my will to change, and to hubby who’s support i have never needed this much in our entire marriage. ✨ Thank youuuu, Universe!! and to the One who holds it 🙏🏻

i dreamt of nanay the other day and i remember clearly how tightly i clung to her like my life depended on it. i cried upon waking up because i just felt like she knows how devastated ive been feeling lately over the work up that it merits a visit through my dreams.

no make-up look coz literally no make up at all, barefaced except for sunscreen coz the doctor says so.

it’s not as if im heavy on make up but being super barefaced, not even a liptint feels like going out naked.

on usual days, i have skintint, a blush and a lippie/tint and slight brow liner. still not so much but makes me feel more presentable 🤣

ahhhhhh what a long daaaaaaaaay!

from an early doc appointment to a terrible lab results discussion, info overload on auto-immune issues, possible immunotherapy, to a good brunch and some chika over coffee and car wash and then hitting a barrier in edsa, 2 tire explosion, too many phone calls, an impounding scare, more phonecalls and finally being freed from all the crocs, impending insurance claims, throbbing inflamed big toe from a bad pedicure. a cough that won’t go away. riding a car on top of a tow truck. tears pouring, then laughing over what the hell was happening, and still thanking God for keeping us somehow safe. and then a loooong grab ride home.

i signed up to my first ever dual meet! exciting times!

i weighed myself the past couple of days and finally the numbers moved!! i feel like my target weight is no longer out of reach. it’s really in the (quality) of food you put in your body no? i stopped dairy and most meats. i was advised to just consume fish and veggies, and while it was so damn hard (gaaahd i miss my chimken) i really felt like everything is lighter the past couple of days. great thing our caf offers healthy dishes (i swear the kiosk is even labeled “healthy” — to differentiate from japanese, asian, south asia, mediterranean and deli) they offer red rice and adlai, there’s salmon and veggies. it made my (new) life easier!

alsooo, i have not downed this too many capsules in my life. *yikes* but i shall follow doctors order.

after this trip, im seriously considering getting certified in open water diving. coz what do u mean they can explore shipwrecks 20-30meters below and i stay on the boat or snorkel at best? even if i had the best time in coral garden and seeing the dugong, i feel a major fomo! hahahaha. i shall gather enough courage to get this checked off my list :> alsoooo i wanna see those mantas dance with my own eyes. — as for the sharks, uhmmm let me check my tapang-meter again 🙃

grateful for the unexpected early birthday present! ‘twas such a shock when i received this notification yesterday. i actually can’t believe it still. it’s all grace!

also, i won my first doubles match play in tennis! a few of my serves went in!! ahhhhhh! im elated!

plusssss, i wasn’t able to update this page, but my team also won gold in our office pickleball tournament! more kwentos about that experience next time.
