conclusion: who’s that witch that can steal your breath with her beauty or spectacular magical prowess? That’s right. It’s Elaina.
sure, sure, she don’t got her magic right now and but hey, she can still travel, see sights and eat bread
it really was hard for her to ignore it when she sensed someone was potentially in danger. despite wanting to keep going through the paths, her heart spoke louder — and throw herself into the mist is what she did, as foolish as she knew such a thing was. without her powers she was as good as dead.
what she didn’t expect was she surge of power she felt when she entered fully into the mist. she could feel it, her powers back as they were in teyvat. although she couldn’t truly comprehend the reason, she simply accepted it. and then she looked for the person she could sense in danger.
it looked like a young witch — who, all things considered, seemed to be handling the enemies coming her way rather well with her magic. but lumine saw out of the corner of her eye a few hilichurls coming up behind the girl, and she had to step into action right then.
“watch out!” she exclaimed, then ran as fast as she could to catch up and attack the group of hilichurls with gust surge, causing them to be blown away by a sizable tornado. upon making sure they had been defeated, lumine turned to the girl. “are you okay?”

The mist was thicker than she anticipated. She hoped that it would dissipate or at least be visibly better within but, still, she was aimlessly walking with no sense of direction. But, she didn't have anything to fear since her wand was in her hand, and she could feel right as she got deeper inside that her magic had returned to her. She's never felt more relieved to feel like a full-fledged witch again. Nothing could scare her now. She was confident.
This is proved true when she is attacked suddenly. Creatures of some kind were jumping out of the mist and into her line of sight. They were obviously hostile towards her for some reason. Elaina barely bats an eye at the enemies and point her wand towards them, casting destructive attack spells in their direction until they stop coming at her.
It seems that she was too focused on what was ahead of her since she heard a voice call out to her. A warning that something else had been behind her, which makes sense that she missed something since she could barely see with all the mist around. She summons her broom to her hand and hops upon it to dodge anything that may come her way but then feels the gust of wind that flies past her.
"Wind magic..." Elaina says in awe at the powerful display of the spell. The ashen-haired witch waits as the girl inspects the scene, and once its obvious that the coast seems to be clear for now, Elaina flies on her broom towards her with a smile. "I'm perfect. I could've handled it on my own but thank you anyways. Though, I am curious to know what those things were. They're definitely something I haven't seen ever."
Elaina jumped for joy when she found the large building. She didn't know what she was expecting to find when exploring the forest but the result was more than welcome. A library! A beautiful one at that. She's in awe at the sights, taking in all the beauty that matched herself and so much knowledge that she could dive into.
She picks a shelf and scans the titles, nearly all of them referring to magic in some way. She picks up one of the books and squints at how illegible the text is. She tries another and huffs unhappily due to the smudge and wear of the pages. Each book she opens, the words were too faded to read and she feels like she's being toyed with. Looking around, she spots a stranger and decides that she should share her frustration with another in hopes that it will be taken away.
"Excuse me, are you perhaps studying the magic texts as well? I'm having the worst luck at deciphering the words on the books I've picked out of the shelves so far. Have you had better luck?" She asks, hoping this was the case. The robe the stranger wears infer the possibility of also being a mage though the hood and mask are unorthodox. Not to mention the lack of a hat. But otherwise, Elaina shoots her shot. Maybe the reason she couldn't find any legible books is due to them all being used already and this person seemed to have a sizable stack.

Her stomach softly growled as she walked through the more commercial streets, particularly in the sense of food vendors. Her nose was bombarded with the most delectable smells. It only made her all the more aware that she had not partaken in any food since she had been taken to this world. She sighs as she silently berates herself for not resting at her assigned living space before wandering off. But, that was just the nature of a wandering witch it seems.
The smell of bread lured her feet into entering a small, quaint bakery. Elaina tries her best not to salivate over how tasty all the baked goods in the display case looked. Her hunger gets the better of her, so without a second thought, she's already picking out the pastry that she wanted. But, as soon as the cashier rings up the price and Elaina reaches for her coin pouch that isn't with her, she panics. "Oh no..." She mumbles, but then the price itself confuses her. "Dust? What is that? Not silver? Or even copper?"

The stranger sitting at a table of an outdoor cafe catches Elaina's attention. Cafes reminded her of her usual traveling routine. They were a staple of most towns and cities. Most had such a place to serve as a location she could recoup and rest along with a fancy drink and nice snack. She'd take the time to watch passerby's or read a newspaper. It seems like the stranger had a similar idea though Elaina didn't tend to try it herself which was writing. She was curious as to what the person was writing in particular and the thought made her suddenly realize that she didn't have her journal with her. The loss of it saddened her but she may as well take an action for her curiosity rather than soak in her dread.
With no shame of interrupting them, she walks up and says, "Are you perhaps a fellow writer as well? I'm currently working on a book of my own." She glances at the table's other seat and she points to the empty chair. "May I sit and join you?"

She sees her across the way. Elaina can't help but notice her attire. The intricate designs that decorated her clothing had the witch's eye. She furrowed her brow as she reached into all the knowledge that was stuffed into her brain during her long study sessions growing up in an attempt to match anything she knew with what she saw. She was grasping for anything familiar to her own world.
The swirls and shapes remind her of her brooch that she wore proudly but at just the thought of the accessory, Elaina's demeanor falls. The woman's clothing, stature, and manner seemed like the type of a being of high importance. Typically, the witch wouldn't be intimidated by a high status individual but that was only due to the high rank that she too has. Or well, has. She could barely call herself a witch and proudly own the meaning of her brooch in her current state. So, her body slumped and she frowned before realizing that she had been staring at the woman for absolutely too long, lost in thought. She bows her head slightly and goes up to her to apologize. "I'm sorry if you had noticed me staring and it had interrupted any peace or caused you discomfort. I couldn't help appreciate your attire. Are you perhaps of regality of any sorts?"

She was still studying the pamphlet intensely as she walked the streets. The amount of words were minimal and thus, information was brief if at all any since many things written on the page had no significance to her. There were words that had no meaning to her and others that had no context behind them. It frustrated her knowing that information was being withheld from her.
She was so focused on the words that she blatantly bumps into something. She's stopped in her path from not watching where she's going and she thinks that its a pole at first, which would be heavily embarrassing but on further inspection, she looks up, craning her neck high to see someone double the size of her. "Oh, wow. I'd apologize but I can imagine that my force barely made an impact with such a size and mass as yours."

This had to be a joke, right?
It’s her immediate thought as soon as she notices the piece of trash in her hand. It was an insult to her own personal broom that had style to match her own. She reaches her hand out to have her broom appear to her like always but blinks when only empty air fills her fingers. “W-what?” She tries again and again, all to fail every time. This was odd, she hasn’t failed any sort of magic since she was a young child still reading up on the magic. But what about her other magic?
She then focuses to make her wand appear but even that doesn’t work and now, she begins to panic. Without her wand, she couldn’t perform any of her offensive attack magic. She looks out the window of the car she had been peer pressured into riding. This was her last attempt to find some hope in her situation. She draws a circle in the air, performing one of the most basic magic spell in her arsenal and again, nothing. She could not do any magic. She was defenseless and the farthest from a witch. “This can’t be... what is this place?” She mutters to herself. Her eyes move to the pamphlet laid next to her. Well, time to go back to the start. Read and learn all that she can. So, that’s what she did until the car stopped and she steps out the car into the vast foreign land. So many new sights to see... not even graced by the eyes of Nike.
