My meditation visualization app told a story about traveling in a
magic vehicle with 2 pets on adventures. This has lead to lots of
daydreaming about how I'd design the vehicle and the 2 ferrets
that would join me : 3
I've decided (because magic) that the ferrets would be invincible
and super well-trained so no worries there. They would have a tiny
doggy-door with a ramp to get in and out of the van. They could
explore or ask for a ride on me in a cozy backpack pocket or shoulder.
(IRL when we had 2 ferrets, their fav napping spot was in the hood
or pocket of our hoodies lol.)
I also decided on a van because I don't want to drive anything that
would feel too big or top-heavy. I thought I'd have to
magic-imagination the inside, but it seems people have made it all
possible with van life culture :) And of course (because magic)
my van would never break down.
I like to visualize a safety bubble force-field. When camping in the
forest, it would mean anything/anyone dangerous would not see
me and would just be compelled to avoid my area. When driving on
the road, it would protect us from any accidents or dangers, and would
spread to surrounding cars and give the other drivers safety and
joy and calm peace.

Yaaaaaas! This is as big as I'd be comfortable with and not feel like an actual bus or RV, and is squat so I wouldn't be as top-heavy as a lot of other vans. I would do bars on the inside of the windows that I could unlock in a fire, but my force-field protects me so no worries. Just curtains :D
Now the question is, would I decorate it in hippie flowers and a verse or happy saying? IRL I wouldn't want to draw attention like that but...magic!
I don't know anything about solar but I know I never want to use a generator. I guess I could use a propane tank for hot water and cooking like some people do - and my worry about having an accident with that would be negated by the *magic*, so that works. I just know that all I would need it for is my laptop when I wanted and charging stuff like my phone, and the microwave. Oh I guess I probably want a bit on for a freezer so food doesn't go bad. (Haven't daydreamed the food situation yet so we'll see lol). I guess with the *magic* I wouldn't have to have space for a spare tire or anything so that'd be good. I do know I'd want to be able to fold these over with a cover to protect them from hail and wind.
I would be fine with my gaming laptop and wouldn't need a TV or coffee maker, but I love the vibe and efficiency. We were gonna be truckers and figured out how to have things that fold down like buckets, shopping bags, vacuum bags for coats, etc. We had a trucker friend who had an xbox and a satellite wireless internet thing and just played online and hung out with us on his off-time wherever he was.
I'm the opposite of claustrophobic but I hate the crammed in versions with the bed stacked on stuff. I would need some open space more like this. I am a huge fan of drawers and minimization. That's also why I love the opening side doors of my van to get into the space like this. I feel like you could have stuff attached to the doors and they open up like a polly-pocket or something to have access lol.
This is a very cool solution. Most things have the shower and toilet in the same stall and you just put the lid down, but I don't like that. Your toilet would always be wet, where would you store TP, etc. This freaking slides out of the way like a drawer! Also, the site has a good debate about different versions and chemical vs. cassette toilet vs. bucket and bag system. I don't feel like visualizing that hard about disposal, so I'd do whatever is most environmentally friendly and not a huge pain and doesn't smell lol.
Wow they've taken the pet backpack to a new level lol. I know they'd love the hammock - wonder if they'd get motion sick. I figured a normal hiking backpack would have plenty of pockets and bits for them to crawl up and snuggle or ride if they felt like it, but this was pretty cool.
