Varadero, Cuba wasn't truly founded until the late 1800s, when ten families from the Cuban city of Cardenas were awarded the rights to build vacation homes there. In 1926, the impressive Xanadú Mansion was built by billionaire industrialist Irénée du Pont Nemours, and by the 1950s the initial hotel boom was under way. Some claim that Varadero was an elite vacation destination as far back as the 1870s. 🌴

Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a town in the district of Ansbach of Mittelfranken (Middle Franconia), the Franconia region of Bavaria, Germany. It is well known for its well-preserved medieval old town, a destination for tourists from around the world. It is part of the popular Romantic Road through southern Germany.🏤

This spectacular Marble Cathedral, an intricate system of water-filled caverns, is set in the General Carrera lake in Chile's Patagonia - the second largest freshwater lake in South America. But to reach this remote place, located in the far southern tip of the country, visitors must fly from the capital Santiago, 800 miles to the next nearest large city, Coyhaique, and then drive on challenging dirt roads 200 miles south to the lake.  🌈

About 200 steps lead, like a Jacob’s ladder, directly to paradise. Praia do Camilo is a succession of coves and beaches, which are linked through arches opened up by the sea in the rocky cliffs that protect the beach from civilization. This is the location of the heart sea arch. ❤

Fjaðrárgljúfur is a magnificent and massive canyon, about 100 meters deep and about two kilometres long. The canyon has sheer walls, and is somewhat serpentine and narrow. The bedrock in Fjaðrárgljúfur is mostly palagonite from cold periods of the Ice Age and is thought to be about two million years old. 🌈
