Inside asparagus there is a chemical compound called - and I kid you not - asparagusic acid. When you eat it, your body digests it with the rest, and it's all fine and dandy... until.

Digestion is essentially breaking things down and stealing everything that's good, and then you pee/poop out the rest.

Asparagusic acid breaks down into many small bits that are uninteresting and have sulphur in them.

And most of the time, a small compound with sulphur in it smells terrible.

So they're in your pee and that's why.
