Laywright Week 2026 Day 2: Early Bird/Night Owl

Layton just feels like he’d be an early bird even though I know he canonically stays up late/all night working. It would be funny if “staying up late” for him meant like. 8pm.

And I don’t know if Phoenix is a night owl, I don’t remember his sleeping habits being mentioned in the games, but again. This just felt in character lol.

I think it's really funny how the practice of bleeping out profanity is not only completely ineffective as a censorship tool, it's had the opposite effect of creating an environment where it's ridiculously easy to edit apparent profanity into footage that doesn't actually contain it. Like you can just grab any audio or video clip and bleep out anything and people will automatically mentally insert profanity in there it fucking rules.

today i redesigned my old character development graphs to make them a lot more accessible and easy to use! i've always wanted a visual resource to build the general outlines of a character's personality, so i tried to create some templates that could be used for tons of different scenarios, no matter what kind of universe your character exists in! these can be filled out in ms paint, with a multiply layer or however you choose - feel free to use and repost them for your ocs, or even use them for canon characters!!!

How I think about the original design vs the more modern equivalent

Wild: Round, healthy, stores fat for survival and warmth. Can rely on their groups for defense. Electricity deterrent and natural escape routes means they do not need to rely on direct fighting to avoid danger .

Domestic: Fat reserves have been replaced with muscle. Smaller size has been prioritized for ideal shoulder travel (influenced soley by human desire). No longer can rely on a group so they have evolved into a harder to hit target, utilizing their new mobility to better dodge attacks.
