Culture clash between two brothers on modern vs. tradition
A monk and a punk
The Jena Six was a very popular case back in 2006 where six young black males where charged with outrageous crimes for getting into a fight with a white student. Years have passed but I felt like sharing what some of the young men are up to now. Jesse Ray Beard, who was 14 at the time, has since gone on to Hofstra and earned an academic scholarship. He is pursuing a degree in law and business, and plays on the lacrosse team. After Grad school, he plans to work as a sports agent. Robert Bailey Jr. plays wide receiver at Grambling and is a member of the ROTC. After he graduates this year, he hopes to pursue a military career. Theo Shaw is studying political science and history at Louisiana University-Monroe and plans to go to law school. He has done several internships, including one with the Innocence Project, a national nonprofit that works to free wrongfully convicted prisoners. I think it’s very inspiring for these black men to be able to come out of such a situation and better themselves. It just goes to show that no matter what you go through, you can still make it. Perfect example of Black excellence. Keep doing ya things fellaz!!! SanCopha League supports you.
