Technical Project Manager: Job Description
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading project delivery for the Watchwith Platform™ and our broadcast and cable television network customer projects. The Technical Project Manager supports a range of next generation multiscreen interactive TV consumer experiences across mobile, web, social networks, connected TV and OTT platforms. The role includes creating and managing technical project timelines, communicating schedules and ensuring that deadlines are met both internally and by clients.
Responsibilities
Fully owns the management of distinct customer projects
Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
Defines project tasks and resource requirements
Facilitates project task estimation and project duration
Develops full scale project plans and tracks project deliverables using appropriate tools.
Assemble and coordinate project staff
Manages project budget and project resource allocation
Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones
Provides direction and support to project team
Monitors and reports progress of the project to all stakeholders
Implements and manages project changes
Helps define repeatable processes and plans for on-boarding and customization
Oversees third-party vendors and freelance resources, including identifying and documenting integration points with third party solutions in order to manage risk accordingly.
Requirements
Facility with standard project management tools (e.g. MS Project)
Confidently able to handle communications with clients at many levels, lead meetings, create and present reports.
Capable of interfacing fluidly with all internal groups including engineering, product development, marketing and sales.
Excellent communicator in written and verbal communications.
Demonstrated strategic, operational and technical management skills.
Experience
Three to five years project management experience, managing large software development projects and designing and developing web or mobile applications (iPhone, iPad, Android).
Bonus Experience
Experience in the entertainment industry, i.e., movie studios
PMI Certification
Some JS and HTML development
