"Let's go. Is that okay?" Iris' full, red lips that contrasted the rest of her aesthetic, they seemed so perfect. Her high cheekbones and manicured nails, her thick hair and unblemished skin. It made Nikki's skin crawl. She was built this way, built for men, built for usage. "Yeah, that's okay," Nikki mumbled. If the only person she would be able to find that was willing to help her and see her story was a Companion robot, then so be it. She wasn't truly ready to die, not yet, she had barely even lived. And fate was offering her a second chance at life. She couldn't pass up the opportunity to escape, to find the love she wasn't feeling back home. "We can go."

OR, Nikki is on the run from the authorities for suspected murder and runs into Iris, forming an emotional and amorous bond.

nikki breaks my heart so bad because in the brief moments we see her before the wish kicks in, she's so cool and funny, clearly kindhearted, very driven about her future (telling bear about how she was going to quit her job to focus on her writing), and also very sure of herself as a person. ive seen people describe this movie as "mean-spirited" and I think thats so apt because it was a 2 hour long tragedy of the torture of this innocent girl, taking away everything she's ever had, including her own sense of self, putting her through unimaginable horrors, and leaving her with nothing except the three dead bodies of her friends, with the one who she trusted most being the one who did this to her. nothing for her to look for hope in, because she has nothing before her except a lifetime in prison or in an institution. it would be one thing if the movie ended on a note like weapons, where everything was over and there would hopefully be recovery somewhere down the line, but here, not only was the evil not committed by a random stranger but her closest friend, but she doesn't get any chance at recovery either. so goddamn tragic. on that note, if anyone can come up with some sort of fix-it for nikki please link it to me because I will be crying about this girl forever.

He knows he isn’t straight, but isn’t sure what he identifies with most.

Debated almost every sexuality and even had a little gender dysphoria.

Overall, he seems gay leaning but isn’t committed to a label yet.

Kai Smith (he/him) - Bisexual, Transman

Always felt more comfortable expressing masculinity, especially living alone with his younger sister - it started as a safety thing.

Definitely packs and keeps up that fuckboy persona. He will only top/peg or he will die.

Never afraid to correct people who misgender him (Nya was always his biggest supporter).

Jay Walker (he/him) - Bisexual

Definition of loser loverboy who only likes women/men who can kill him.

100% straight passing despite all the jokes he makes about how hot certain men are.

He’s considered polyamory to “get the best of both worlds” but hasn’t committed.

Cole Brookstone (he/him) - Gay

Fandom’s first gay icon! He was closeted for so long out of fear that his friends would be disappointed (his dad was hella homophobic).

He’s liked many guys from afar but was always too scared to commit to a relationship with them.

I always believe he’s a pretty lonely guy and doesn’t express himself, so a sensitive guy would do wonders for him.

Zane Julien (he/they) - Nonbinary, Pansexual

Once he learned he was a robot, everything he thought he knew about himself changed.

Very open to self-discovery and is always learning of new spaces where he feels most comfortable. Literally the sweetest ever, everyone comes out to them first.

Open to all genders and sexualities since everyone was accepting of them being a robot (theme for queerness in my book).

Nya Smith (she/her) - Bisexual

She first realized she wasn’t straight when she would have deep talks with Kai about his identity as teens - it helped her greatly.

There was a big period of her life where she debated lesbianism but just felt more comfortable being open to both genders.

Everyone still worries she will indirectly steal the women they’re talking to.

P.I.X.A.L (any pronouns) Genderfluid, Ace, Demiromantic

Since they were created to be seen as a woman, there was always a desire to defy and take control of their autonomy.

As a robot, she can’t change her appearance the way humans do so she’s very comfortable with all pronouns based on how she feels.

Has always craved deep connections with others and is fascinated to learn more about himself and what he likes.

Skylor Chen (she/her) - Lesbian

I know her and Kai supposedly had that thing going on buuuut I feel that was one way. This girl likes WOMEN and women ONLY.

Master Chen still doesn’t understand what a lesbian is and she has to keep coming out to him.

She has dealt with thinking she was bi to stick to some sense of “normalcy,” but has never been happier since embracing her true self.

Harumi (she/her) - Lesbian

I fully believe this is something she is still working through and learning to love about herself. She was closeted for so long.

Extremely comphet thanks to her strict adoptive parents, and she’s still learning to be her own person.

Pillow princess evil femme and she deserves it I don’t care. I love my girl, she deserves better, she deserves a butch.

Morro (he/they) - Nonbinary, Gay

Where do I begin with this gaaaaayy man. He’s amazingly repressed and that’s why he’s so angry. Why do you think he wanted to be the green ninja? Exactly, gay flag rep.

In all seriousness, I do think most of the gender dysphoria came after death when they were nothing more than a spirit, a “shell.”

Symbolically, I think the clinging to his masculine side is a great reference to his tether to the past. No matter how much resentment there is, it’ll always be part of him.

I saw someone headcanon Kai as genderqueer since that way Kailor would work a little better and I think thats beautiful (I def see transman Kai tho, maybe they dated before his transition trust guys i just love Kailor as exs)

I also heavily headcanon Zane as Agender and as aceflux/grayace/demisexual.... I love zane smh omg

and ik it doesnt make sense story wise but i always sorta saw Lloyd as a trans guy.. I have no evidence for it tho its fully just vibes
