"I was on my way to get something to eat. There’s nothin left in that damn place I’m staying in so I wanted to get a bite. Problem?" He rolled his eyes shivering slightly. "I hate this weather… this fucking season, because I can’t fucking enjoy the water without fucking freezing my nuts off."

Karin laughed a bit at his tone. It never used to amuse her before but Suigetsu was also so defensive when talking to her. It wasn’t like she wasn’t around him either. “No I don’t have a problem.” she told him lamely. The redhead smiled and turned to him “You’re like a shark out of water aren’t you?” nudging his arm with her elbow. “If you’re still hungry I could make us something to eat?” biting the inside of her mouth “Just don’t get used to the special treatment alright?!”

He scowled and looked at her. "Yes, I am, and that is a stupid joke. I can't get enough water. I literally sat in that damn tub for an hour today trying to soak up the water." Suigetsu looked at her and wriggled his nose. "Sure, yeah, whatever. And I don't expect special treatment. You wouldn't know how to be nice if it bit you in the ass."

Karin couldn’t believe how uncharacteristic she was acting with Suigetsu. She had hopes that he wouldn’t hold it over her head later on. The two entered her home and he sat her down sitting next to her. “I wanted to see the snow.” she said as if it explained everything frowning. It had looked so tempting to be outside in it. “Well what about you? You were walking around outside and you know you get cold easily.” countering his argument.

Suigetsu frowned and held her close. He rubbed her back in small circles and rested his head against her’s. “Karin… it’s alright. It’s going to be okay. I won’t leave, yeah? I’ll stay here with you, so quit the water works..” He sighed again and scooped her up. “Let’s get you somewhere warm.”

The redhead nodded slowly believing what he said and tried to even out her breathing to cease the crying. The small circles Suigetsu rubbed into her back were definitely helping her relax. Karin sighed again once he scooped her up. “We could go upstairs.” she told him holding on by wrapping her arms around his neck.

He took her upstairs and had her unlock the door. Suigetsu kicked the door shut behind them and walked inside, setting her down on the couch. He sat by her and sighed. "I don't understand why you were sitting in the cold... you'll get sick that way."

Suigetsu didn’t say anything for a while, but then he felt something on her chest and jumped slightly. “O-oi, Karin what are yo—” He stopped and looked down at her. She was crying. Suigetsu frowned and sat up slightly, hesitantly rubbing her back. “Hey it’s alright. Karin…”

She didn’t really understand why she was crying or allowing herself to in front of him but now that she started she couldn’t stop. Everything was coming out and Karin gripped at the jacket her face was buried into. “Don’t leave.” she struggled to say with a hiccup “Don’t leave me alone, please Suigetsu. I don’t want to be alone not today.” hugging onto him closer wrapping her arms around his thin waist.

Suigetsu frowned and held her close. He rubbed her back in small circles and rested his head against her's. "Karin... it's alright. It's going to be okay. I won't leave, yeah? I'll stay here with you, so quit the water works.." He sighed again and scooped her up. "Let's get you somewhere warm."

"S-Sorry.." Karin said vaguely huffing out some air barely looking in his direction. They both had seemed to turn to each other before he started to speak. It made her feel better that she hadn’t been the only feeling that way about Christmas. It was also the first time in a long that that the two of them had a civilized conversation. She stared at him as his eyes shifted shut, making a frowny face before deciding to test the waters. Karin slowly placed her head on Suigetsu chest, feeling the tears she had been trying to hide start to fall down. "Fuck.." she cursed at herself burying her face in his jacket.

Suigetsu didn't say anything for a while, but then he felt something on her chest and jumped slightly. "O-oi, Karin what are yo--" He stopped and looked down at her. She was crying. Suigetsu frowned and sat up slightly, hesitantly rubbing her back. "Hey it's alright. Karin..."

Karin let out an exasperated breath, the air puffing around her mouth. Her dark red eyes narrowed a bit staring at him before turning her head. “Whatever. Do what you want, asshole.” really she had no strength to put a decent fight with Suigetsu today. The redhead shifted on the bench when he decided to sit next to her. “Who said I was down?” turning away looking off in the distance sighing. “I hate this stupid holiday.” she finally admitted turning away in annoyance. “Go ahead and make fun of me Suigetsu, call me weak and pathetic and piece of shit for letting a day bring my mood down!” she felt herself slightly yelling her guard up.

"Why the fuck are you yellin'? Don't kill my ears, fuck." He groaned and patted his head gently, baring his teeth. Suigetsu looked at her and rolled his eyes. "Listen, I don't like this piece of shit holiday either, so don't worry. I ain't gonna start with you." He sighed and retrained himself, closing his eyes as he rested against the bench.

For whatever reason, the white-headed fuckass was still in town. He was walking, hands in his pockets, trying to enjoy the light snowfall. He glanced up as he rounded the corner to a familiar dwelling. Karin was sitting outside and a part of him told him to leave. He sighed and walked up to her, nudging her with his foot. “Yo, the fuck you doin?”

The redhead jerked her head upwards in the direction of the voice and glared for a moment. Suigetsu was the last person she had wanted to see her crying pathetically on the bench. Karin took in a deep breath and rolled her eyes “The fuck does it look like, Shark breath? I’m..I’m watching the snow.” annoyance in her tone. “What are you still lurking around here for?”

He frowned and rested a gloved hand on his hip, rolling his eyes. He had on a purple jacket, white pants, a black hat, and black gloves. Pretty fucking simple. "I decided to stick the fuck around. You got a problem with that, bitch? I ain't see your name on the same village sign." He scoffed and sat next to her. "Why the fuck you so down?"

Karin was sitting a few steps outside of her apartment bundled up in her peacoat and hat staring at the snow that was actually falling. If she hadn’t been in such a disgusted mood it would have been a picture perfect Christmas day. The redhead rolled her eyes and sighed “Alone again.” speaking towards the sky. The girl blinked back a few tears that burned in her ducts, angry that she was letting it effect her now. It wasn’t like this was the first Christmas she had been alone.

Suigetsu looked at her and then smirked. He grabbed his water again and took another sip, sighing happily as it hit his throat. “I’ve been swell. Can’t complain, the norm. Been traveling a lot, I like doing things my way. I’m a lone shark, I don’t swim with a pack.”

Karin rolled her eyes at his explanation, did he have to be so pretentious all of the time? “Right. Whatever. Do you have enough time in your lone shark schedule to come over? I really should get these groceries upstairs.” she motioned towards the bag in her arms she had been carrying.

"To your place? Gross," he said, smirking. "But I have time. I suppose I could watch you be lame in your natural bitchabitat." Suigetsu shrugged and folded his hands behind his head, grinning smugly.

He kept walking, ignoring her little tantrum. Suigetsu smirked and kept his hands in his pockets, glancing over as she caught up with him. She was fucking determined and it was so damn annoying sometimes. He sighed and rolled his eyes. “If I say yes, will ya shut the fucking trap you call a mouth?”

She couldn’t even believe that she had missed this..Karin wanted to kick herself “Yes you fucking baka! I mean…fine hai, hai I’ll shut up.” biting the inside of her mouth trying to hold her tongue. He was so absolutely annoying with his shit. “So anyways, how have you been?” genuinely asking pushing her glasses up. “Jugo has been asking about you lately. He’s been meaning to catch up with you. But no one could find you.”

"You’re so fucking infuriating do you know that?!" stomping her foot into the ground as Suigetsu pushed his hands into his pocket and started to walk away again. Karin was about to turn away and not chase him, she couldn’t take it. Why would she put herself through that again? Her crimson eyes shut for a moment, taking a breath and jogging a bit to catch up with him. "Look I’m sorry or whatever, okay? Can we just start over?"

This is the first time you’ve seen me in Kami knows how long and that’s all you have to say?! Why do you have to be a little shit all of the time?” Karin yelled pushing his shoulder as she spoke. The redhead knew he was egging her on it was their routine and she fell for it every time.

He grunted when she pushed him and rolled his eyes, reaching out to yank her back. "Ey, the fuck is your issue? I ain't coming around here to see you, got it? So lay off with what I do. I don't have shit to say to you, four eyes." Suigetsu let her go and shoved his hands into his pockets again.

"I told you, I was passing by. I don’t live in this shit town." He rolled his eyes. "Had a little job, decided to stop here to eat. Didn’t think I’d run into your fucking face, which, by the way, has had no improvements."

"You know what else hasn’t made any improvements? Your fucked up smell." Karin spat as a retort rolling her eyes. It had to have been a new record, the two of them hadn’t been in the same space for almost two years and here they were barking back and forth like they were in high school again. "Why don’t you just go back to where you crawled out from then? Baka."

Suigetsu rolled his eyes again and took out his water, supping from it as he looked at her again, a scowl on his face. "No complaints there, then I don't have to deal with your fucking bitchass attitude, yeah?" He grinned and started walking ahead of her.

Karin happily walked through the streets smiling to herself clutching her bag. It was a rare occasion to see the redhead so enthused especially these days.

Suigetsu looked up from where he was, squinting at the familiar sea of red. No shit. “Karin? Well ain’t that a site for sore eyes…” He smirked and took a sip of his water, casually walking up to her with a hand on his hip.

Her eyebrow twitched when he spoke, it must have been a trait only Suigetsu possessed. Instant annoyance. “Oi, don’t start with me, Shark Breath!” Karin gritted her teeth. “I live right around the corner.” she told him pointing. “So, is it normal for you to just show up randomly or was this by mistake?”

When The Seasons Change---@ Anyone

Slender fingers pulled up on the zipper of Sasuke’s favorite leather jacket. Stepping out of the town car for a moment he just stood there, staring out in the distance at the brick walls of Kizuna Academy. It had been over six months since his dark eyes had fell on the massive building. Konan had recommended him for a summer music program across the sea in the states and he hadn’t had a second thought.

The time in America only validated what he’d known for years. The only thing keeping him here was his mother. Once he knew she’d be taken care of, he had decided he would go to college over seas. His time abroad had been spent in New York. Never in his life had he been around so many musicians and different music scenes.

“Just two more years.”

He told himself as he walked slowly towards the academy. Pushing open the double doors he realized not much had changed. Aside from the new batch of small and confused freshmen scattering the halls the Academy was just how he remembered it. Adjusting his beloved on his back he made his way towards the dorms. Seeing a certain Blonde was his first priority; that is if a summer without his guidance hadn’t resulted in Naruto being expelled.Turning the corner he almost collided with a familiar face. Flustered he pulled on his belt buckle before pushing his bangs from his eyes.

" Lets make the greetings quick," he signed shoving his hands in his pockets and shifting his weight onto his left leg.

It was strange to be back, to say in the least. Suigetsu definitely didn't think he'd be around here again. After getting up and running away more than seven months ago, things had changed. He was definitely a little more distant and he didn't seem to trust anyone at all now. He was walking down the hall, toothpick hanging from his mouth, when he turned the corner and nearly knocking someone off their course. He blinked and then frowned, looking down at his old friend.

"Sasuke? Sorry, didn't see ya comin' around the corner." He shrugged and moved around him, biting the toothpick in half. He really didn't want to get into a conversation with Sasuke about how things were.
