"Dirty sports for a good cause": Entrance fees go to Schleswig-Holsteinische Krebsgesellschaft that provides counseling for cancer patients. Since the event was founded 2004 it has raised €150,000.

The place is Brunsbüttel, a town Schleswig-Holstein in the north of Germany, that lies on the mouth of the Elbe river, near the North Sea. There is no stadium. The competitions will be held on the mud flats (the Watt, pronounced like English vat) of the intertidal zone of the Elbe. Known in the local language of Low German as Wattolümpiade, the event can be translated as Mudflats Olympics.
