imo it's the correct choice for jimmy in particular to have no canonical backstory aside from a history of undefined struggle on earth. overall fascinating to watch people fight over nature v nurture in their interpretations

god strictly speaking daisuke did not have to die. granted we don't know the full extent of his injuries / if there was more internal damage than was obvious but like if he was just lacerated up they could have. like. sewn the wounds. even if it was a shit job. like just enough to keep him from bleeding out & to lessen infection risk. swansea Could have waited for the opportune moment to axe jimmy and leave daisuke in the cryopod, give him the chance to hold on in stasis and maybe if someone found them they'd be able to give him the care he needed. but alas

dude i think about the agony curly must have CONSTANTLY been in. the only "solace" is that the pain and shock probably kept him mostly delirious with windows of lucidity / higher cognitive function.

#you have to suspend disbelief on curly surviving those wounds #but anya keeping him from dying of shock in the immediate aftermath #AND keeping him from dying of sepsis in the weeks and months following #is incredible #but anyway #when he's lucid the amount of mental torment he must go through .....#mouthwashing
