Now... I would have rated this higher😂 but honestly we have to take into account that aside from the CGI, this was seemingly a low budget movie... AND it was also relatively a foolish movie 😂😂

That being said, this movie is relatively awesome😂😂 it was a wonderful first 45 minutes trying to figure out WTF was going on!!❓

So many stories tangled up into one➰. And the fact that there genuinely directed the sequence towards "fate" and not simply chance😂 even though the shit seemed so unlikely.

The comedy was beautiful😂😂 all the characters are clowns🤡 but they don't overdo it. No scene lasts so long that it gets annoying. They made sure to slip in the comedy at the right times🎭

On the part of the action⚔️ genuinely I've seen better. BUT that's not to say that the action was poor or anything... Some of my favourite characters didn't have enough arc for me to love them enough😔 like Japanese John Wick...

But I genuinely love how they brought everything full circle⭕ it was a great watch, and being that it's been a while since we had a 6 Underground-y, Hitman's Bodyguard-y comedy action movie... This was a breath of fresh air 🌬️ I recommend.

First of all. Idris Elba 😂 doing well at the moment so... Yeah. Secondly... The setting of the whole movie🔥🔥 yes!! South Africa? 🔥😀 Yes!

The beginning was so immersive for me. Like, it felt like somewhere I wanna go. They captured the natural, earthy tone of Africa, while maintaining a certain feel of comfortability 🔥🔥 like... It's not all just jungle!

That house? 🔥🔥 Yes. A place I'd genuinely go to vacation. No WiFi etc. I loved the way they really placed Americans in Africa, and didn't necessarily diminish how Africans truly are.

That being said😂😂 we really didn't get to see much😂 honestly,💁🏿‍♂️ they tried with some of the footage, but a whole lot of it seemed like it was shot in a warehouse and not actually in the plains & mountains of Africa😂

Like... 😂 There's no background substance to most of the cinematography up until the action starts, and even then, it's like the jungle only has 3 locations📍

I do love the one-shot camera though. Hella dedication🔥 camera man basically spends the whole time moving through locations with the actors without breaking the scene 🎥 and they use this constantly in the movie. That's cool🔥

I love that the movie kept my ass cheeks clenched though 😂 that feeling I used to get when watching shark movies🦈 I was already over 1 hour in expecting another hour of action😂

Also... I don't know if this is really how people talk during panic😂 but damn!! These people can not take a second to shut TF up and listen😂 everyone always trying talk above the next person!

Also... Idris in the final battle almost rivals Leonardo DiCaprio's THE REVENANT against that bear 🐻 it looks so real. So gritty🔥

All in all, it was an awesome movie to watch🔥 it did what it had to do, there wasn't much else I would have expected (aside from a little more of Africa). But yeah, definitely watch it.

Maaan😂 the moment I saw the cast and a bit of the trailer I knew I was going to love it and maaaaaan I absolutely love it🔥🔥🔥

I love the fact that, honestly, as a vampire movie, they don't bother trying to explain a lot about how vampires work, or how they came about😂 we don't need that anymore. They're just there... Among us😂 we get like one scene where we get an explanation of the types of Vamps (and a bad guy that wasn't shown in the movie - which leads me to believe there will be a sequel).🤔

The action was incredible!! 😂😂 John Wick style fights, with incredible gunplay, knife-play, environment-play😂 all the fight scenes were a joy to watch.

There's wasn't anything visually "over-the-bar", no awesome camera moments (aside from some failed attempt to move a camera from a car into the air😂that looked terrible) but otherwise the camera work was great.

The Nezarian Brothers😭😭🔥🔥🔥😂😂 YES!! Aside from Jamie Foxx maintaining a comedic vibe (that didn't overshadow the intensity of the movie) The brothers are easily the best thing in this movie😂😂 The hive scene was an Action Masterpiece!! Not too much going on... But just enough to make things WOW and funny at the same time😂 I rewinded that scene a couple times.

The ending was awesome... Bringing us back to the roots of the vampire hunter🔥 masterful. All in all, this was an absolute joy to watch. I hope there's a sequel. Fully recommend.

I watched this way back when it has come out, and it never really left a mark on me at the time😅 just felt like another futuristic sci-fi movie. I decided to take another run at it now, after coming across it in some Top 10 list.

Honestly, I actually love it 😂🔥 it's not a super-wow, but I feel like they had a great concept here. I started thinking about how I would love to play it as a video game😂 then I remembered COD: Advanced Warfare.

The idea was great, I feel like they could have done much better with the cinematography. There was opportunity to build a better "landscape" but they just sorta flooded the world with obvious CGI😂

The villains lacked substance😂 like... There was nothing about them that made them seem worthwhile, aside from the psychopathic South African😂 but even he got a little annoying. They were hard to "love" as villains.

That little dynamic camera thing they did TWICE in the whole movie😂 it looked cool... But it was poorly used.

I'm throwing a lot of negatives hey... Ok. The story did actually captivate me. The protagonist had every reason to behave as he did, which was awesome🔥 almost predictable at times, but good enough to keep me going🔥😂

All in all, it was an awesome cheesy movie😂 coz practically speaking, the world would fall into chaos at the end there... But it's definitely worth a watch.

Ey... Yo😂 this movie is nice🔥 like... Yeah. I enjoyed every minute of it. But mostly.... Mostly... The soundtrack😭👌🏿👌🏿 immaculate🔥🔥 the soundtrack was perfect all throughout🔥

This movie wasn't fully what I was expecting it to be...and honestly it was so much better😂 after seeing all the little comedy skits on tiktok and all... I was waiting for some college comedy with some little crisis. But honestly it actually had quite a lot of depth👌🏿

I cried a little 😂 not gonna lie. I shed a small tear in the lab😂 that scene was so deep... So real. I love how they blended such a deep concept into the little comedy of the shitty situations😂

Nah honestly... The story was beautiful... Almost typical, and the music made it soooooo much better. And it really came through full circle... Didn't leave anything hanging🔥🔥 lovely!

Now I have a new musical artist to listen to 😂

LOVE, DEATH & ROBOTS [SEASON 3] 2022

Y'know... I think it's rare for any series to have seasons better than the first 😂 but I'll give it to LDR... They're trying. Season 2 was rather trash for me, but season 3 I thoroughly enjoyed almost as much as season 1.

Generally, as a lover of animation, I was looking forward to seeing the different art styles that they were going to give us in the series. I gotta say though...🤔 I wasn't exactly wowed by any of the art styles, they all seemed a little regular. Of course with exception of Jibaro😂 I've got no idea WTF that was but I loved it.

Actually Jibaro is probably my favourite episode🔥 it was so... 😅😅Yes. It encompassed that original WTF energy that season 1 first had. I remember comparing season one of LDR to (an animated version) of Black Mirror.

Anyway... The stories in each episode of LDR3 maintained the weird and existential themes that we love and I enjoyed it all. Binged it all at once!😊

I had a great experience and I'm looking forward to more seasons with more weird stories🔥🔥

Wow! 😂 No honestly... Wow. Maybe I'm just in the feels but wow. It has been a while since I watched a movie that engaged EVERY SINGLE part of me🤯... Like... It's every genre! Every single one😂 (main genres of course).

I had watched the trailer but this was not at all whati was expecting. When I saw it was over 2 hours long, I wasn't sure I'd make it all the way😓... But damn😩

It's like the story is really broken into 3 parts but none of these parts are actually separate. They're just separate in the way you perceive them🧐 my mind is blown honestly. The existential dread... The awkward comedy, the deep rooted romance. The drama... The ACTION!!🤯🤯

I keep thinking whether Doctor Strange will match up to this (because I haven't watched it yet). This was madness at it's best. And the concept was so simplistic, so quirky... I'm trying to find something bad to say 😂

As a person that wasn't expecting it to get a little mushy, I was a little taken back when it did, but it didn't take away from the story🤯. I had almost forgotten about all the initial action but they balanced it perfectly.

This is probably my first contender for best movie I've watched this year... And it gets a straight 9 from me.🔥

Morbius 2022 ---------------------- [Waveyreviews] 6 (actually 5) Honestly, I think I'm giving it a 6 because it's a Marvel movie, (which tend to get better over time when the whole story builds up) but honestly I think it's a 5😂 No lie, I like the way the movie starts. I feel like maybe there was some missing info that they chose not to include (because hey! Everyone knows how marvel movies are, no need to explain this one💁🏿‍♂️) but that was terrible. Anyway... The story was okay. Nothing extraordinary 😂 typical marvel shit, science experiment gone wrong, good guy infused with animal, bestie is enemy... It's like watching Spiderman again😂😂 Except this time, the ending isn't as good. I dunno, I feel like we're being forced upon by D-List heroes and villains... Like wtf is this guy's actual special power?? Basically hearing shit and moving fast😂 the rest of just cool CGI graphics. But all in all, I did enjoy watching the movie, in that I was curious to see what kind of boss fight they'd have, or maybe when the hero would go all medieval or something.....buuuuut nope. Basically just had a small 5 minute beating with a bunch of "Wait till you see the upcoming movies" scenes. They could have done better. But like every marvel movie. It's worth a watch. 6/10

The Lost City 2022 ---------------------- [Waveyreviews] ah...yes. The Lost City... 😅 Went into this one with sightly low expectations thanks to a friend's review (which, honestly helped out a lot😂) the poster and the cast make you think it's going to be out of this world! Bullock, Tatum, Radcliffe, Brad Pitt... In an action adventure comedy romance😂 like 🤯... But nah... It was mostly comedy romance😂 the comedy was dry, but really funny😂 like... Ha ha. Stupid. It was enjoyable. I'm not a big fan of romance personally, unless it's dealing with the psyche, but the romance tie-in made it interesting to watch. Channing was actually better than I expected. Pitt was a personally favourite😂🔥 The story itself was predictable in the romance and adventure department, but everything else was pretty interesting🔥 I don't regret watching this at all. A small cringe here, a Ha Ha there, a few WTFs and we ended up with a good movie. Watch it. Once😂 7/10

Looper 2012 ---------------------- [Waveyreviews] 5 I know... I know. I'm absolutely late to the party 😅 but in my defense. I had tried to watch Looper as soon as it came out back in 2012 and I got soooo bored. It's coz I didn't know what I was getting into😂 I've always seen it among lists of "movies like Interstellar" and "Mind-bending movies" but I just wasn't convinced. All in all... I'm still not totally convinced😂 It's a good movie with a great story line, but personally not one i would go and watch twice.💆🏿‍♂️ The premise is interesting coz it's different, the time travel killings and all... But I felt like I wasn't really drawn into the "world" of Looper... Rather just the story of this guy... which was predictable AF really🥱 Then there was the TK 😂😂 that felt like an afterthought... Like... It felt nearly pointless... Like "what can we do to make the certain people special?" Ooooh give em superpowers😂 and a superpower that has absolutely fuck all to do with the movie. It could have been replaced by anything... A gun even. But all that aside. It's definitely a movie worth watching. The fact that they tried to play around with time travel without actually telling us the science that would mess things up 😂 ACTIVELY AVOIDING telling us the science 😂 Anyway, it's a movie you should watch but I don't think it's going to capture the hearts and minds of everyone. It breeds curiosity, but delivers little satisfaction. So... 5.5/10

The King's Man 2022 ---------------------- [Waveyreviews] 5 It took me a while to actually get into this one because I kept hearing negative reviews and I generally wasn't in the best space to watch crappy movies this year😂...so after a long wait, and nothing else important to watch, I finally got into it. This movie is.....boring😂 I mean... I've been searching for something to keep me going and aside from references into the world war... There's no substance here. No idea what this has to do with the King's Man. Over 30 minutes in, and nothing of consequence has actually occured😂 Now .. We go through most of this movie, not really knowing what the hell this movie is about 😂 or who it's about... I mean... There's the big picture... The war... But there's so much useless stuff going on.😂 I think this thing actually spent an hour trying to build character backgrounds. There's some nice action, here and there. Nothing too "wow" but the action is there... I was able to finish the movie though... The sense sort of reared up towards the end. But honestly, as a third installment to such a great series of movies, I feel like it didn't do the Kingsman movies justice. Made me interested in rewatching the other movies, but I would not watch this movie twice. 5/10

UNCHARTED 2022 ----------------------- [Waveyreviews] 7.3 Given I haven't had the opportunity to play the video games, (coz they're PlayStation exclusive and I'm a PC gamer😞) I've got to judge this one according to the movie as it is. I actually really like it🔥🔥 I mean the casting is really cool. Tom Holland can do no wrong in his career right now😂 I must say though, I don't know if Nate Drake's game character is as witty as Tom Holland is, coz you can still hear the Spiderman when he talks😂 Anyway, I love the cinematography. I mean, I was expecting a little more "Tomb Raider" vibes (the games, not that bomb of a 2018 movie😐) but Uncharted gave us a little balance... Moving from the tombs to the town's and all🔥 I can't really say there was any jaw dropping moment during the movie, for me. I almost missed the cameo with the guy on the beach 😂 but as a person who knows things, I noticed there was something there so I had to Google it. And that was pretty cool. The movie itself is cool🔥 the action is great. Nothing too "edge of the seat". Problem is, I've watched the movie now, but I still don't feel inclined to play the game😂 I assumed I was going to get enticed to play the game after watching the movie. But anyway, I've still always wanted to play it. Maybe one day. The action was cool. The story was cool. The female characters were a little dwas for me. I don't know if it was the casting or the acting, but it didn't feel very believable. They didn't seem like the badasses they were acting as. All in all. I would watch it again. And I do look forward to seeing a sequel of the movie🔥 So... 7.3/10

AMBULANCE 2022 -------------------- [WaveyReview] 8 Went into this one after seeing this little post on tiktok about the 19 year old drone flyer Michael Bay got to shoot some of the scenes in the movie (in one take!). So I was low-key hooked before I started. All that was left was for the movie to give me a little story.😂 Honestly, I don't know. This movie is pretty incredible. But it didn't exactly start out with a lot of "story". Not necessarily a bad thing... It kind of just slipped from "this is the situation" to "this is how we got to this other situation". My heart was beating pretty quick. I blame the camera movements😂 it was so hectic at all times. Then the movie would slip into some calm...just to introduce something new into the chaos😂 And those drone shots wooo🔥🔥🔥 magnifique! Took my focus away from the movie a little, trying to figure out what he was thinking 😂 flying a drone amidst moving people and vehicles n all. Then there's these random moments of... Peace? Satire? Comedy? I don't know what to call it 😂 But it's just comedic considering the situation. The soundtrack is so incredible😂😂 it's not what you'd expect at all. But it works so well🔥 yes. Don't know how I feel about the ending of course😂. But as a movie... I wouldn't have it any other way🔥🔥 they was an awesome experience. A definite must-watch for all action fans. 8/10

JOHN CARTER 2012 ------------------------ [WaveyReview] 6.5 Been in the mood to watch a couple movies I might have missed from the past. I had watched this one when it came out, but honestly I didn't think much of it at the time... so I decided to give it another go. 😅I've got mixed feelings about this one. But all in all it's a pretty good movie.🔥 The...lore.. Premise... Plot...😅 Is a little interesting but prone to tiptoe around being as dry as the surface of Mars itself. You'd have to ignore the logic and just jump into the fiction, into the magic, for this one. Carter is a simp😂 ugh... My goodness, I mean, everyone loves a hero, but c'mon... I don't know how I feel about the acting, honestly... It feels a bit forced at times... Every once in a while it wants to sell like a great movie... Then just when you thought you had the sweet aroma of a great movie...you can smell the Disney.😂 These little things that are so.... Stupid. I must admit though... It got a little deep at some point. The Thern philosophy was pretty cool. The idea of what everything is happening as it was... I liked that. Lol but that lasted little time😂 overshadowed by the utter ridiculousness that is Disney movies. But we love a happy ending. And we love a good action movie with above-par CGI 😊 the ending was pretty cool .. How they tied in the rest of the story🔥🔥it's a definitely movie to watch. Once or twice😂 6.5/10 P.s. Tonight we felt like taking a look at something a little older. Was looking for an apocalyptic movie that we hadn’t seen before. Or at least one that we don’t remember, and that search led us here (and many other places)

We loved the intro😂🔥 wasn’t sure it was going to be interesting… Movies like this tend to drag trying to get you to know the characters, but they did the ol’ switcheroo and threw us right into the fire first😂lovely

They wasted no time with character development 😂 BUT the character development they DID do, was enough. Quite a lot of people, no time to get to know them all, but they threw a gist for everyone🔥

There’s truly no respite in this movie😂😂 the situation just goes from shitty to shittier and we love it😂 constantly on the edge of the seat. Constantly wondering what’s going to happen next🔥

And honestly it kept this energy going until the end. I was left a little wanting when it came to the “final battle” I thought things would get a little more intense… But that takes nothing away from the rest of it.

This was an awesome experience throughout🔥a definitel must-watch for all action/sci-fi fans.

BEL-AIR 2022 ——— [WaveyVIEW] I decided to go into this with a completely open mind, ignoring the original comedy and vibe of the first Fresh Prince...and I must say; I don't think I even needed to🔥 This first season of Bel-Air has been an incredible rollercoaster. I wasn't expecting to be into it as much as I was but damn... It can hold its own. The fact that it takes the old story and gives it a whole new twist... Success. The drama is incredible, a little predictable at times, but incredible nonetheless. A few cringe worthy moments run through the 10 episodes, but nothing to make you take your eyes off. Those last 3 episodes😭😭 wow. The ending left a lot to be desired, but I guess that was the point 😂😂 I was left watching the cast roll by thinking "Wait... No... That's it??" Can't wait for a second season. All in all. For a series of its genre, fighting the battle of being "better" than its predecessor... 8/10 🔥🔥🔥🔥
