They nod. “Is she a VK?” They smile. “Thank God my place isn’t far. I’m starved.”

“She is, but don’t you dare hold that against her. Not that you would. But she’s truly one of the best people I’ve met in a long time.”

mikeydarling:

“Then obviously I need to meet her if she’s my new sister.” They grin and lead her to their house. “Ruby adores you anyways so let’s go.”

“I think you’d like her. She’s such a dear...very quiet.” She smiled and stood up from her bench, gathering her things. “Let’s go, then,” she nodded.

mikeydarling:

“I think that’s a really smart idea. She sounds lovely.” They hold out there hand. “Your place or mine? My place has the cutest puppy ever though.”

“She’s a very sweet girl, she’s already become like family to me.” She nodded. “Puppy snuggles sound really nice right now.”

mikeydarling:

“How about we get you home, you eat and I can do anything you need? Maybe you need to hire a full on assistant or something. I hate seeing you so stressed.”

“Kai offered to be an assistant to me. I was reluctant to take her up on it, but I do believe I need it.” She smiled. “A break sounds lovely. Thank you.”

Mikey was walking to Wendy’s place with her favorite food. They knew she had been stressed and wanted to check on her. They walked through the park to get to her house and smiled when they saw her on the bench. “Hey! I was actually bringing you food! But you’re clearly stressed. How can I help?”

Wendy smiled apologetically up at her youngest sibling. “You’re too kind,” she said softly. “I’m sorry, Mikey. Work has me quite at my wits end lately. Kai offered to help me out, sweet girl, but it’s taking its toll.”

“are y — are you okay?” she asked.

Wendy started when she heard the voice. She collected herself and offered the girl a smile. “Oh, yes, I’ll be quite alright. I’m just a little bit stressed out is all.”

One thing Koa couldn’t stand was being cooped up in her room or a classroom, being stuck in any building. She grew up on the white beaches of Hawaii.. rarely ever inside. Being restricted to run free, run herself down of that unlimited energy that she had, it lead Koa to become destructive. So she took to running for a while. Yet hearing the groan of the other as she slowed, Koa looked to her. “Are you okay?”

When she looked up to see someone standing by her, she collected herself, brushing her hair down with her hands so that she didn’t look completely bonkers. “A bit stressed, but I’ll be alright. I apologize for making a little scene.”

‘ you’re too nice to me, wendy. ’ she nodded.

“I am only as nice to you as you deserve,” she pointed out. “You’ve been nothing but kind to me.”

she smiled at her ‘ thank you. ’ she said.

“And family means any celebration or holiday of any sort, you are more than welcome to come by and spend it with Mikey, John, and I. Or we can do our own separate things, whichever suits you better.”

‘ i wish i was your sibling. ’

“You’re absolutely family to me,” she said to the girl. She didn’t want to patronize her by saying she felt like a daughter, so she didn’t admit to it.
