Quick Reminder
Hi everyone, just a heads-up--this blog is for answering questions about Wellesley College and its surrounding area. We can answer pretty much anything, but it’s very difficult to answer questions about partying, frats, meeting men, and related things. Everyone’s experience is very different (and remember that you are in NO WAY obligated to party each weekend if that’s not what you enjoy!), and if you have any questions I would recommend you talk to some upperclassmen in person--always better to hear more personal anecdotes straight from the source!
Thanks for understanding! Keep those questions coming!

Is there a place where I can get my hair trimmed or eyebrows threaded around campus like in Boston or nearer?
I would recommend you ask this question on Facebook--try the Wellesley College Free and For Sale, I’m sure some members would be very knowledgeable, particularly about hair!
--Annie
I'm confused how labs work--do we not take the lab with it's respective class? Is it supposed to be more difficult? Is there a separate final?
Lab sessions are a little (and sometimes, very) different from your regular class; if you see that the lab sessions appear to be separate from the actual class, you should choose one of the sessions that best suits your schedule and take it with its corresponding class.
As for difficulty, it’s very difficult to generalize for all of the lab-based courses. The content of the labs is usually pretty different from the classes, as stated above, so they wouldn’t be easy to compare. As for a final, many lab courses will have some kind of final project or report, but again, that does vary from class to class.

@megelsier is killing it at the Davis Plaza! Come check out the scavenger hunt at @thedavismuseum, grab some free swag, and decorate a cookie when you're done. (at Wellesley College)

Hi, everyone!
Orientation’s here, and so are you all! We’re so excited to see you, we might be delayed in answering questions here--sorry about that! We hope that you’re all having fun right now, and that all of your questions will be answered in the following days and weeks.
And if they aren’t, well, that’s what this blog is here for! Have fun, everyone~

You're here!! Welcome. We hope your move-in went well and can't wait to see you tonight! #wcbt15 #brightertogether #swellesley
ONE MORE DAY. We meet you tomorrow, friends!! Get some rest tonight and be safe on your way here! #wcbt15 #swellesley #brightertogether #excite #welcomenewfriends (at Wellesley College)
I forgot my packet at home, so where does one park on monday if they reside in beebe hall? Also, is forgetting my packet really bad?
BEEBE!!!! First of all I am So Excited that you're living in Beebe!! It's such a great place and all of the student leaders there are sooo amazing. Second, it's no big deal if you didn't bring your packet. The only pieces of information in it that might matter is the QR study packet but I'm sure you will do fine or the move-in guide which tells you which turn off on campus to take. I think for Beebe you turn into the residential quad (the turn off into the residential quad is right across from the campus center turn off, it's lettered but I can't remember exactly what the letter is.. It's either A or C) and then park right in front of Beebe. Just note that each car only gets 15 minutes in front of a res hall to unpack. Also, there will be toms of student leaders everywhere to help you find your way. Only 1 more day!!!!!!!!!!!!-Sheridan
IS the Dyke Ball still a thing?
It has been relabeled as Queer Affair. You’ll hear more about it later in the year!
–Annie
Unfortunately, even Queer Affair is no longer a thing. But, there is pub night every Thursday which is always tons of fun!!
-Sheridan
it's TERRIBLE that i'm asking this late, but what do you do if you lost the qr assessment packet?
The materials should be online on the Entering Students site. If not, we have extra QR packets in the Dean’s Office (Schneider) when you arrive on campus.

would it be a bad idea to miss the orientation plans for wellesley on friday (so everything after the class picture)?
We’ve been planning Orientation this summer, so of course we’ll tell you to stay on campus! :)
In all seriousness, though, we ask that you only leave campus in case of an emergency. There are a lot of fun, bonding activities that will go on over the weekend to get you hyped and ready for class the following Monday, and we don’t want anyone to miss out!
