• when you first found out you were pregnant, you were worried as hell
• you knew what Rio did and how dangerous it was
• but that wasn’t what scared you most
• what scared you the most was telling Rio
• you knew how much he loved Marcus, but he had never mentioned having another kid
• your mind kept racing with thoughts of him leaving you
• you knew that he loved you, and realistically he would never leave you
• but your fears grew too big to be deflated by rationale

• he heard Marcus in his room, but he was too worried about the sight in front of him to go greet his son
• there you were, on the couch, staring blankly ahead with tears in your eyes
• he crouched down in front of you to ask what’s wrong
• you couldn’t help it
• you just blurted it out and prepared for the worst
• he didn’t know what to say
• having a baby was a happy thing, but you seemed terrified
• so he just scooped you up into his arms
• that’s when you broke
• you started sobbing and expressing your fears

• he spent the entire night reassuring you that he was happy, and he was not going to leave you

• one night you were craving a milkshake from a specific place, but the nearest restaurant to get it had a broken machine
• so he drove another 30 minutes (on top of the original 10) to get you one
• it didn’t matter to him that he spent over an hour driving at 2 am
• he was determined to get you your milkshake, and even brought home fries, because he knew when he got home, you would regret not asking for them
• but despite always being willing to help with your cravings, he didn’t always understand them
• one day you mentioned that you really wanted both peanut butter AND pepperoni
• he didn’t show it, but Rio was disgusted by the idea of it
• still, he dutifully fulfilled your request, albeit horrified by the fact you enjoyed it

• when it came time to deliver, you were scared, but mostly in pain
• Rio held your hand the ENTIRE time, refusing to let you go, even when you were swatting at him with your other hand
• he spent a lot of time yelling at the doctors to give you something for the pain
• he hated seeing your tear-streaked face contorted in pain
• when the doctors told you it was time to push, you practically froze
• you had been screaming at them for hours to get the baby out, but now that it was time, you began to worry
• you started sobbing to Rio about how you weren’t prepared and you couldn’t possibly be a good mom
• but he squeezed your hand, rubbed your head, and gave you a kiss on the cheek, assuring you that you would be the best mother
• when the baby finally came out, it brought tears to his eyes
• and just when he thought that he couldn’t get any happier, they let you hold the baby
• he knew then that he was a goner
• after you and the baby were cleaned up and you had a moment to rest, he had his grandmother bring Marcus in
• he was just as excited as his father was
• and when Rio saw his son cuddling with you while cradling his new baby sibling, he knew that he’d be perfectly okay with having as many children as you’d give him
A/N: i know that i’m not very active, it’s been a while since i’ve posted and for that i’m sorry. i’ve been pretty busy lately and on top of that, haven’t had the energy or really been in the mood to write. but i’m back for at least this hc, so i hope you enjoy :)

• it all started one night when he was working late
• it was supposed to be game night for you, him, and Marcus
• he had told you that he would be there, so you planned the night out
• you knew that Marcus had been missing spending time with his dad lately, so you thought this would be the perfect idea
• you were surrounded by Marcus’s favorite board games and snacks, but there was no Rio
• you had tried calling and texting him, but there were no responses
• after an hour of watching tv trying to wait for him, you offered to play them just the two of you
• Marcus was visibly upset, and had asked if he could go to bed
• you felt bad that Marcus didn’t get to spend the time he had hoped for with his dad
• when Rio got home a few hours later, you were beyond upset, you were mad
• you started arguing with him about how he let Marcus down
• which then led to him arguing back with you about how he has to work to provide for you and Marcus and he can’t always be there
• to which you brought up the fact that he was the boss and he needed to make more time for his son
• which led to why he needed to apologize
• Rio had made sure to remind you that you weren’t Marcus’s mother
• Marcus was his kid, not yours
• you needed to let him worry about his own kid, and his own business
• you knew that it was a heat of the moment thing, but it was still hurtful given that you were always there, and even though he wasn’t yours, you still saw Marcus as your own

• he had made up with Marcus the next day, buying him a new toy and taking him to ice cream
• but his ego refused to let him apologize to you
• so the two of you spent a week not talking to each other
• you barely even looked at each other or were in the same room, which was difficult given that you lived together
• after a week he had decided it was enough, he missed you too much to let you stay mad at him for something he said in an argument
• he had tried to talk to you, but you were still too upset to listen
• he realized that if he was going to make things right, he was going to need to do more than just pretend nothing happened

• so when you went to pick Marcus up from school the next day, he came home early from work
• he knew that you would be gone longer because you had to drop Marcus off at his grandmother’s house for a sleepover
• he had already bought a giant bouquet of red roses, and put them in a vase on the counter for when you got home
• he also started to cook what he knew was your favorite meal
• he knew that you loved him, and if he had just apologized and the two of you had a conversation that things would have been okay, but he felt bad for what he said and wanted to make up for it in his own way
• when you got home he immediately wrapped his arms around you and started apologizing
• you had barely gotten through the doorway, but there he was, arms locked around your waist, telling you how much he loved you and how sorry he was
• he let go just to grab your hand to show you the roses
• he told you about how he was making your favorite meal, and how he wanted to spend the night watching your favorite movies, and doing whatever you wanted to do
• you knew that later that night you would have to have a conversation, but you had missed your boyfriend, so you quickly pulled him into your arms, just wanting to hold him for the first time in a week

• while you two ate dinner, you had a long conversation about what he said
• by the end of the night you were both on good terms, laughing along to a comedy movie you found on Netflix
• as you watched, he looked at you, thinking about how he got so lucky to be sitting next to you, even after he screwed up so bad
• that night, on the couch, after a week of not talking to each other, was the night that he knew that he wanted to marry you
• you forgave him for saying things just to hurt you, and for his pride getting in the way of making things right
• he knew that the woman next to him, the woman who loved his son so much that she stood up to Rio when he let him down, the woman who has had it in her heart to forgive him after every time that he messed up (which in his mind was a lot), was the woman that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with
• for the rest of that night he gave you all of his time and attention, but the second he woke up the next morning, he started looking at engagement rings
but daisy... why was part 2 of “go with red” so good 😭😅😅. i don’t wanna be selfish and ask for another part but... if you’re feeling up for it and have muse please! but i was just thinking how i’d love to know how rio would feel if his wife was accompanying collecting money for a drop out and they’re waiting for their client and she tells him that he needs to flip his game and instructs him on how to do it! THIS could also be seen in my head taking place during a meeting

“Is that my hoodie?” Rio asked, narrowing his eyes towards you. You dug your hands deeper into the pockets of his hoodie. “What? I didn’t have black.” You shrugged.
While Rio was now letting you more into his business, you decided to channel him completely which included the very “fun” attire of all black clothing. He led you towards the room in the warehouse where he would have his meeting with his crew and a client.
“You’re gonna observe tonight, yeah?” He said, which meant to not interject with your usual comments, and sarcastic remarks. You nodded, and he opened the door for you motioning to sit in the chair at the end of the table.
Mick greeted you with a kiss on the cheek, a regular introduction before getting straight to the point with Rio. Not too long after, the client showed up with two duffels you could only assume was filled with cash.
You watched how Rio always kept an austere reaction to everything whether good or bad. He commanded respect any time anyone walked into a room and vice versa.
“You good?” He asked the client who you realized was nervous and bad at hiding it. You knew whatever he was nervous about would cause a disruption into this whole process which made you sit up straighter.
The client nodded. “Just got a little heat is all, I’m handling it.” He said. Rio tensed up, and you watched how his hands clasped together in front of him indicating his seriousness.
“There ain’t room for heat. Fix it, or you’re done.” He said, and you and the client both knew that had multiple meanings and you were better off not knowing. The client nodded and Mick threw him another duffel from their end before he left.
You tried your best to keep quiet and listen in on the conversation amongst Rio and his crew but no one was getting it or giving any good ideas to take care of the bad egg. That client was going to fuck them over and you knew it.
“You need to flip your game.” You interrupted, the table getting quiet. Rio looked up at you, giving you a ‘what are you doing’ look.
“That guy’s clueless, and unpredictable. I mean, you couldn’t have picked a worse guy to do the most important job,” You chuckled.
Mick and the crew looked towards Rio, confused if they should even be listening to you right now.
“I just have one suggestion and then I’ll shut up.” You scratched the back of your neck, like your comment was an itch you desperately needed to tend to.
Everyone sitting at the table looked incredibly intimidating and you wondered if it was worth it.
“...Maybe I shouldn’t. You guys got it.” You backed down.
“Nah, say what you tryna say.” Rio approved, giving you a patronizing smirk.
“Well for starters, picking a guy like him is hella shady looking already. You have dirty cops, shit even desperate housewives, but why not someone in the medical field?” You suggested.
The whole table was looking more intrigued now. “You have everything you ever need sitting in a perfectly legal facility, all you need is someone in trouble and desperate for money.”
Rio was too prideful at the moment to admit that it was a great idea.
“She really tryna tell me how to run my business?” He laughed amongst his crew.
Your proud grin faded. “I’m trying to help you, stupid.” You abruptly stood up and walked out, refusing to sit in a room full of assholes.
You knew your idea was good, great even. It would take the heat off, and it was a perfect coverup but Rio refused to see that so you had to show him it could work.
Regardless of what he said, you made connections and did some networking with your friends and their friends. Surprisingly, especially from all the knowledge you learned from Rio it wasn’t that hard to track down desperate people.
Your attractiveness only added to money piling in for you. All you needed was your charm, a tight-fitted dress, and a business plan.
Pretty soon, you had just enough clients to keep the duffels coming in and out with no heat in sight. At this point, you were counting your personal bills and waiting on Rio to apologize.
“You were right, mama.” He said, walking in on you as you were placing bills in the money counter. “Yeah? Or are you saying that to get off of sleeping on the couch?” You didn’t look up, continuing your task.
Watching you handle your own, bringing money in like it was nothing turned him on even if he didn’t admit it. He walked over to you, pressing himself into your back.
“Both,” He said, kissing your shoulder. “He fucked you over, huh?” You smirked.
“Mhm.” He said, wrapping his arms around your waist now. “I handled it though.”
“Yeah? Me too.” You said, taking the flash drive out of your pocket and handing it to him.
“Your new clients. You’re welcome.” You said. He turned you around to face him, and he just knew he was going to live out one of his fantasies and fuck you on the table full of cash.
He gripped your hips, going in for a kiss until you dodged him by looking the other way.
“You can’t get everything you want tonight.” You chuckled and walked away.
i don’t write much anymore bc i’ve been pretty busy, but i do still read a bit and @inriospocket is one of my fav writers. like always, this doesn’t disappoint

A/N 2: i am also sorry for not posting a lot. i am hoping to post one or two short little halloween things tomorrow if everything goes according to plan. like i said in a previous post, my mental health isn’t doing great, so lately i haven’t had the energy to do much of anything, including writing. sorry for the infrequent posting and i’ll try to be better about it :)

• he was nervous to tell you what he did for a living at first, but after a few months together, things were getting more serious and figured you needed to know
• you were actually very understanding, assuring him that you still loved him
• maybe had you known at first, you would have steered clear, but you were in far too deep now

• the only thing that bothered you about what he did, was his associate

• you understood that her and the other good girls were just trying to support their families
• at first
• it seemed like that was still the goal for Annie and Ruby, but Beth, not so much
• she was in it for more than just the money

• as tired as he was of it, he didn’t want to end business with her, because while he hated to admit it, she brought in some serious money and was a good fall guy if things went south
• so he came up with a way to put her off for good

• you were reasonably upset, but he held you and promised he was going to take care of the problem once and for all

• the two of you got there before Beth so he pulled you close to him
• his arms wrapped around your waist and he let his hands rest firmly on your ass
• he started kissing you slowly and tenderly
• it was his silent way of telling you that he loved you, and no one would change that
• you heard Beth’s car pull up and broke away from the kiss, your nerves and insecurities returning
•somehow it didn’t bother Rio one bit, as he moved his mouth down to your jaw

• Beth still hadn’t seen you when she pulled in, it was too dark
• but as she walked closer she saw you and the way Rio was holding you
• she so desperately wished for that to be her in your spot
• Rio pulled away from your jaw and looked up at her, giving his signature smirk
• “You see Elizabeth, she’s my girl. And I’m not a fan of you constantly disrespecting her and our relationship. So you ever come near me or my family again, I’ll put a bullet in between your eyes. From now on you’ll be dealing with Mick.”
• as soon as he finished speaking, his focus was back on you, taking your hand in his and pulling you back to the car

• the two of you walked away, leaving her where she stood and not giving her a second glance
• she didn’t realize the weight of the situation until she got in her car, slowly panicking as Rio’s words sunk in
• she immediately called Ruby and Annie, telling them what happened
• they now made sure that she was no where near when they had meetings with Mick, not wanting to risk you or Rio being there and killing her

• you however, drove home hand in hand, walking back into the apartment and dropping onto the couch instantly
