Hybrids don’t have the luxury of deciding what they want to do, especially not when your sire is the supernatural version of a dictator. Rosalind Pacer does not accept failure, disappointment or any challenge to her power. She is in control, and her fellow hybrids would do well to remember that. Though she can’t make the hybrids herself, Rose handpicks each and every wolf she wants to add to her collection and brings them to Titus to change. It’s a special kind of evil to know the torturous process of creating hybrids and taking pleasure in choosing those who will suffer, but she is up for the challenge. The hybrids are mostly a rag-tag group of strangers, but there is one almost-whole pack that survived. Jamie’s pack was made up of a bunch of teenage wolves without guidance until she came along and saved them. Given the choice, most of the hybrids (and all of Jamie’s original pack) would choose her as alpha. Only, due to the sire bond, they can’t. There are high levels of distrust within the hybrid pack, mostly due to Rose’s disrespect.
