A Cultist Joins The Collective

Many are those who turn to dark beings for power. But where for some people such dealings are strictly business, for others they are acts of devotion. Do these individuals worship those outer beings in hopes of appeasing them, hoping to keep them pacified and spare us all? Or do they do so for more selfish reasons- wealth, power, or knowledge? Or, are they simply mad? Only they know for sure, and they aren’t prone to explaining.

I will announce more later because I’m at work, but the WAA main page was unceremoniously deleted without my consent, and it appears Rogue was targeted and their blogs terminated as well.

So, if there is no objection from the Collective, This evening I’ll begin the process of rebuilding what was destroyed as a leadership figure. I’ll need a list of all active collective blogs, as the original list is no more, and I will have to start from scratch.

We are first and foremost a community that will support each other in times like this. Whatever help you can offer will be greatly appreciated. I’ll speak again soon.

Since my initial post, I’ve filed a request Support in the hopes that something can be done to recover what has been lost. As of yet, no response. In the meantime, I’ve started making a new list based on who’s responded or otherwise contacted me, and will be part of the new archive listing active collective members. Rogue, sadly, has informed me that they will no longer be among them, as this latest debacle has convinced them to retire. My anger and sorrow at this cannot be understated, for the Collective as we know it would simply have never existed without Rogue’s help.

For them I send my love and hope, and the faith that whatever they do now, they will help make the world better.

 It’s late, but here is who I have thus far. If there’s anyone missing, please inform me. I am also looking particularly for those who were recognized as official members, though I suppose by the end of things we’ll have room to recruit. My list thus far includes

Rogue’s choice to retire following this, while not unexpected (I recall she was debating heavily after the first incident), is still very upsetting to learn. I mostly kept away from the organisation-side of he Collective to focus on my blog content, but am aware that it was mainly herself doing the legwork of things, more often than not. Her choice here, while understandable, is still a blow brought on by the actions of someone maliciously targeting her blogs, and that is the cruellest blow of all.

Thank you, Rogue, for what you have done until now, and I’m truly sorry it ended as it did.

I look forward to the newcomers that will join us now, but would like to take the time to formally condemn whomever struck this blow, with great contempt.

Rogue leaving the Collective is a major blow to me, for she was truly amazing. (Her blog was my introduction to the Collective in general.) If she takes up shop elsewhere, I’d be happy to know.

It was Rogue who originally drew me in. I was running a small blog about my rogue in Pathfinder at the time, so being asked if I would consider joining was quite lovely. 

I have been lucky not to have come under any fire. Knight and Rogue have had to nudge me from time to time when I say stupid things, but I consider that a good thing.

First of all, a BIG personal thank you to everyone for their kind words. Also thanks to everyone for showing up to stand with WAA. If indeed a target on my back took down the WAA blog as collateral damage, I am truly sorry. I didn’t expect that at all because last time it didn’t happen, and I thought that a group blog I just happen to be part of would be safe. I can’t express how happy I am that the deletion turned out to be temporary.

Update: so we’re back up, and as far I can tell, everything is up to date and no data has been lost. The last welcome post was for @we-are-artillerist​​ IIRC, and that link is included in the Blog List, so we’re good. I’ve backed up all WAA pages and posts locally (i.e. on my hard drive). If an admin wants me to upload them somewhere, let me know. For those who are waiting for feedback from me for WAA business or otherwise, please allow me like a day to get my shit together, I just went to hell and back, gah.
