YOU’RE LIKE AN ANGEL BUT WITH BROKEN WINGS. ( indie angel oc )
hamilton musical sentence starters: 9/10
Is he alive?
I did exactly as you said.
Shh, I know, I know.
Save your strength and stay alive.
Is he breathing? Is he going to survive this?
I’m so sorry for forgetting what you taught me.
There is suffering too terrible to name.
You hold your child as tight as you can and push away the unimaginable.
I never liked the quiet before.
I pray. That never used to happen before.
He is working through the unimaginable.
I know I don’t deserve you.
If I could spare his life, if I could trade his life for mine, he’d be standing here right now.
I know there’s no replacing what we’ve lost.
Do you like it uptown? It’s quiet uptown.
Forgiveness. Can you imagine?
Can we get back to politics?
You’ve created quite a stir.
Honestly, it’s kind of draining.
Is there anything you wouldn’t do?
We have fought on like seventy-five different fronts.
I am slow to anger, but I toe the line.
I look back on where I failed and in every place I checked, the only common thread has been your disrespect.
If you’ve got something to say, name a time and place.
I am not the reason no one trusts you.
Here’s an itemized list of thirty years of disagreements.
I can’t apologize because it’s true.

a rough hand caressed her lower back in a soft manner as he walked past her and out into the living room. even though they ended up ordering take out it was okay to have a clean table and a few comfortable pillows to sit on, and kovu made sure of that while his girlfriend ordered the food.
❝ I’ll light some candles as well. That’ll be romantic. ❞
a glance darted his way; one of warmth and adoration. the food was ordered, and kiara stepped in to help with the preparations. it may just be a normal week night, but they had to seize any chance they could get at spending time together. “look at you showing off your romantic sides. how lucky am i.” the brunette ended up by the bar, retrieving a bottle of vine they could open, just for tonight. any means necessary to set the mood, right?
The two worst kinds of pain in this world are felt when you lose someone and when you love someone. And even worse, when you lose the one you love.

Simba opened his mouth to retaliate but the pizza place was in sight so he just chuckled, gave her a knowing looked and parked the car. When they ordered, waited and received the pizza, Simba thought about just how many things he could tell his daughter - and how much it would surprise her.
“Try running away from home when I was seven and living with broke weed-enthusiasts until I was twenty.” Simba said casually, as though he were discussing the weather outside. He could barely keep the amused grin off his face. Then he looked at Kiara and added, and that’s just the beginning.”
the girl blinked as she digested the little tale, her lips a hybrid of amusement and confusion; why would he ever run away from home when he had everything? was it her grandfather’s death, or something much more trivial? “are you serious? dad, you were such a rebel!” kiara teased while still trying it imagine it; one would never have guessed if one were to pass him on the street, that was for sure. “what about mom? i thought you guys fell in love at my age?” she had almost forgotten about the pizza as curiosity replaced that dull ache of hunger. as soon as they got through the doors to their home, kiara planted herself on the sofa before grabbing a piece of pizza — just to feed herself a slice while waiting for the rest of the story.
( kovu )
“of course not. I can’t wait ‘till we’re married kiara, but if you don’t take a break I’m worried you’ll pass out from working too hard. I might pass out if I am to work as much as you do.“ his eyes flickered between her and the tv as he spoke. a dark hand ran through his short hair - sometimes he forgot he got rid of the mane.
❛ I promise I’ll help you out once this game is finished. five minutes and I’ll be all yours. ❜
“we’re just used to different things, don’t worry. you can relax all you want, but i’m gonna rock this wedding planning.” maybe she wanted to prove herself once again; or maybe she just wanted it over with so she could focus on her exams. even if he chose to help out, they had folders upon folders to inspect before they could make a united decision about anything. oh well, that was the prize for the title as wife and husband.

only moments later did the lion drag her through the door, he then placed her in the middle of the room. his little hiding spot wasn’t that big, but it stretched itself upwards using ramps, lofts and ladders. the place was lit up by strings upon strings with lights in different colors. “you can open your eyes now. surprise.”
eyes opened slowly after having him positioning her; she trusted him enough for such a task. blinking a bit disoriented, kiara looked from one corner to another, from the roof to the floor before turning to face her tutor. “wow, this is...this is awesome.” the girl grinned with enthusiasm, a giggle bubbling within her chest as she explored his hideout. she probably touched stuff she shouldn’t, but that was not of importance in this moment.
( simba )
“Well, at least I’ve got a starting point,” Simba said with a warm grin, placing his hand on his daughter’s arm. But that grin faded and his grip dropped as she mentioned Scar’s release. It was the last thing he wanted to think about right now - and of course he had heard. Nala had to stop him from damn near tearing apart the house the day he got the news.
"Simba said, his jaw clenching. It’s all I’ve been able to think about these days.”
“i thought you had managed to bury that grudge, dad. do you still believe, now that he has done his sentence, that there is NO chance of him having changed? really?” kiara was merely asking skeptically rather than critiquing his feelings. she understood his rage, his pain — but that was their golden difference; she was able to put feelings aside in favor of rational thought. that might prove a bit harder for her dear father.
Things Lurking in the Dark
“What was that?”
“Did you hear footsteps?”
“I know it’s stupid to think that someone is watching us but I really think someone is watching us.”
“There are no such things as monsters.”
“I wish we had a flashlight.”
“Are you sure no one else is here?”
“Abandoned farmhouse at the end of a country road, isn’t this how every episode of Scooby Doo started?”
“I’m getting out of here.”
“That’s not funny.”
“I’m telling you no one is here and I’ll prove it to you…”
“Look! It’s just a tattered bed sheet.”
“I’ll leave the light on if that will make you feel better.”
“Please tell me you heard that.”
“It was huge, black and had rows of bright white teeth!”
“Sorry, my grandmother is staying with us for a few days.”
“Of course there’s no signal out here…”
“Let me guess, there’s an old summer camp nearby where something terrible happened years ago and no one will talk about it. Am I close?”
“A baseball? Where did that come from?”
“It’s raining frogs. Why is it raining frogs?”
“Everything will be better once I get a fire started.”
“Why did I let you talk me into this?”
“That howling is just a dog or coyote, right?”
“Stop breathing down my neck. It isn’t funny.”
“The sun is setting, maybe we should go home.”
“No we are not picking up hitchhikers!”
“There is nothing to be afraid of in a cemetery.”
“I’m not going out there this close to dark.”
