The Van Liere Family | Grand Rapids, MI

It was a cold, gloomy, rainy morning when we joined the Van Liere family for an early breakfast lifestyle session. Nick, Becca and Haven are the sweetest, most welcoming family. Being new to town and knowing basically no one, they've invited us into their home for meals and have made us feel like we have instant friends. It was a fun morning photographing this family in their element. The breakfast was amazing, which was no surprise considering they're the heart and talent behind Rise Grand Rapids.

We took these family photos just days before leaving our beloved Oregon home. It was bittersweet taking images at such a beautiful location. So thankful for such beauty that was so close to where we lived but it also made my heart ache quite a bit knowing that we wouldn't be seeing scenery like this in our day to day.

This location was very special to these sweet parents. They had been visiting this park together since their dating days and would return each year, now with their four boys!
