hi! i don't know if this has been answered in the past, but i was wondering why the series is called 'the { } and' / {the and}?

Hi! Thanks for the question 💕 {The And} is the space between two people that makes a relationship. We don’t say “Romeo, Juliet” or “Romeo or Juliet,” we say Romeo AND Juliet. The conjunctive word plays such an important role in our lives when it comes to intrinsic human interaction. Here at The Skin Deep, we strive to harbor intimacy in a digital setting by creating the similar space for participants– to allow relationships to grow and flourish. And then we invite you, our community, to be a part of it.

I absolutely love love love Keisha and Andrew's series. I as a black woman now have hope that I could have an interracial relationship that could work and be as beautiful and humor filled as theirs. Their videos are so real and raw and honest, it's so enticing. I just want to say thank you for documenting their love story and I thank them for having a beautiful story to be told.

do you have to be located in a certain area to participate in a video with you guys or how does that work? i would love to but i'm kind of in the middle of nowhere :(

We usually have people who live in NYC or can come to NYC because that is where our studio is located but you can check out our Card Game/App which consists of the same questions asked on our videos!

I saw someone say they were 23 and never in a relationship? I'm 24 and never been in one. I don't think it's weird everyone has different paths. Besides I personally feel like I need to sort myself out and not look for someone else to make me happy.

I want help on getting closure with my ex. We were together for a year and a half, we met through a mutual friend. We got each other's numbers, started hanging out from once in a while to every weekend to everyday. We grew together emotionally. So to get to the point we fell in love and I thought everything was perfectly fine until we found out I was pregnant, he then became very distant and he didn't want it telling me to get rid of it but I decided against it so he broke up with me telling me that it was because "he didn't feel the same." I always put him first, his happiness comes before mine and he was always before me, so to make him happy I made the appointment and he knew how much I wanted to keep I cried myself to bed every night knowing he was never there for me. When we went to the first ultrasound we heard it's heartbeat and I asked him what did he feel or think and his response was "All I thought was stress." I broke down crying and he was just not there. So it came to the day of the appointment and I was ready to walk out but he stopped me and begged me on his knees to please get rid of it and do him a favor so again because I had always put him first I did and now I regret it. He promised that he's always be there but till this day he doesn't know how much it had affected me and he abandoned me. I cry every night thinking about it but he's never got it and I always wanted to know why he just left the way he did and he had no compassion at all. I still love him and I forgive him but I want to know why he couldn't just le me be happy for once and accept it.

I have friends who seem stuck in a bad marriage. Both very unhappy with the situation and circumstances, and unhappy with each othet. Even therapy isn't helping because one or both have shut down. However, for various reasons they are not considering a divorce. I'd love to see a couple in such a situation, sit down for a heart to heart conversation.
