Being an ally is super important, and we want you to be able to look cute doing it. Why do we need the term “ally”? First of all, the obvious – it’s great that so many people want to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community in this day and age. But it’s also important to remember that many closeted LGBTQ+ people can use the term “ally” to go to pride and feel included without outing themselves before they’re comfortable. So, for whatever reason you proclaim yourself an ally, we hope you love this space design as much as we do!

Hi! It's been a while!

If you follow my personal accounts (@cockyhorror) you'll be aware that the last month or so has been full of exams and doctors appointments, and it's been super difficult to keep up with WYP accounts.

The seventh “weapon” in the Orientation Armory–CAST IRON PAN!

This one goes out to every single message I got from a pan person jokingly asking if the pan weapon was going to be a pan. There were many. The puns were too good to resist.

Color inspiration taken from the Pan flag, and the flowers this time are all cooking herbs–Fennel, Chive flowers, and some Rosemary so you can have a functional piece of cookware while you bludgeon people. Everything you need to feed a hungry party! Fun!

Hey. Please take a moment to read, this is really important.

Four friends and I recently created an app that helps the LGBT+ community, teens with mental illness, teens in countries that censor internet content, and anyone else who needs support to find an anonymous, safe, and close community.

We have finished the beta for our app and plan to release it in June during Pride Month.

But, we need your help to make this app possible. You can sign up for it here.

If we don’t enough sign ups, then we won’t get the funding to keep our app safe for our users. The organization that wants to fund us needs validation that there are enough people in need of our app.

We need the funding to hire moderators that will go through reported posts and keep our content safe for the LGBT+ and mental health community.

We have just started collecting sign ups, but not nearly enough to make our app a reality.

Please, sign up for our app. No matter your sexuality, gender, preference, race, or anything of that matter.

We really need your help to make this possible. You can sign up here. It only takes an email, no name is necessary.

This app’s existence is dependent on your support. If we can’t get enough sign ups, then we will won’t be able to release our app and will have to abandon our hopes for this safe space online.

Hi! I’m Katie, currently working on Wear Your Pride but pictured above in one of my earlier designs (still available here). I just designed the “I’m An Ally” stickers and I’d like to talk about them a little!

Being in the LGBTQ+ community doesn’t mean you come out once and then live your life as normal. Every time you meet a new person, you might eventually have to come out again - to every new coworker, friend, potential partner… if you want to talk about your life and past, present or future relationships, there’s a good chance you will want to come out again. But with every new person, it doesn’t get that much easier. You never know at first how someone will react, and every time you come out again you feel you’re running the risk of losing someone’s friendship and respect in an instant.

I have been lucky to have always had LGBTQ+ and many bisexual (like me) friends, but some people aren’t. I designed the Ally stickers to make it easy to announce solidarity with your LGBTQ+ peers, especially those you may not know are LGBTQ+, so that they never have to fear judgement or discrimination when talking about their gender and/or sexuality with you.

Stickers are available here and if you scroll down a little you will see lots of other options (I just think the stickers would be super cute and easy to put on notebooks, pencil cases, laptops etc.)
