OKAY NONHUMAN QUESTION TIME - do any of y'all ever wish that others would name you instead of choosing your own name? There seems something inherently human in choosing a name to me; I've always wanted to have my name selected by other people as if I was an animal who would not consider that itself. Not even in a dog way; wild animals too receive names from humans, though of course domestic animals come immediately to mind.

Any other alterhumans wish that humans would give them names?

I am (perhaps suitably) half-asleep still writing this, but I'd like to recommend the youtube channel "PhD&D" He has a(n ongoing afaik) series of videos on the King and Carcosa. It's from an analytical/literary lens, but I think it still may be of interest to you. I find a lot of value in reading or hearing different analyses of the sources of pop culture-based entities.

Psychic Vampirism

The lack of easily-obtainable information on vampirism that isn't tainted by inaccurate new age ideas that we're all malevolent abusers or reality TV really got to me. It was different when I first awakened, and I feel obligated to the community to share my own experiences with the hope it might help someone out there.

I'd like to say now that while I will be referring to myself as a vampire in posts on the subject, it's for the sake of brevity. I conceptualize my "vampirism" as like a condition of my energy body rather than the entirety of my self or a facet of my identity per say.

I'm as much a vampire as I am a demon, which is to say that I'm not really either of these things at all, but they come close enough in your tongue to get the general idea across. I like to start painting in broad strokes and fill in details as they come up.

What is a psychic vampire?
