like i can only imagine that when they made band of brothers tom hanks pulled ron livingston aside and said hey you’ve seen in movies when the main guy has a dead wife and his memory of her is tinged with the rosy golden glow of her beautiful soul and the true love they shared? and ron livingston was like yeah and she’s always tragically beautiful and looking at him like he hung the moon? and tom hanks was like Yes exactly and you know how it’s even more impactful when she has a crucial flaw that humanizes her in the audience’s eyes but never antagonizes her in her lover’s eyes because through every flaw he loved everything about her? and ron said yes i follow completely… and it’s never clear whether she’s been romanticized beyond measure or truly was that great because the only person left to tell her story is the man who will carry his undying passion and love for her til the end of time? and tom hanks said YES exactly! anyway you’re doing that good luck. and then ron slayed…

Peathgate, An Abridged Epic:

It was the height of an era. With the seed that had been planted by a lonely shot of Joseph Mazzello consuming a spoonful of luscious green peas in The Pacific, a beautiful garden of cats and peas and spoons and biscuits lisps had bloomed on the website known as Tumblr. It was a golden age of fandom, art, and anything in between. One merry June day, an idea occurred to aforementioned fandom, known honorably as P Company, to pose a question on Joseph’s Facebook wall regarding which vegetable he most preferred. Granted, the question was not completely innocent, largely due to the pressing matter of peas. The question built and built, many members of P Company contributing their legume-related inquiries. Much to our surprise, Joseph replied. To even further awe, he confessed as having already witnessed certain aspects of The Great Matter of the Rotund Green Legume, and professed that he was none too pleased. Regrettably, P Company and Joseph had a falling out, involving Joseph having quite a fit and obliterating his Facebook account, and although time passed, the most profound wounds never truly healed.
