I talked a little about how I hated this trope as a kid on twitter - as a kid I kinda thought this trope was part of why people said I didn’t look like my parents. I’m mixed race and don’t have my dad’s fro or my mom’s red hair and neither brown skin nor pale white with freckles. Kids used to say I was adopted, because they couldn’t see the resemblance if I wasn’t a clone. Drove me nuts.

As a kid I’d redesign these clone babies to fix it. I took another stab at it for old time’s sake on twitter, so here, have a more thorough blend of Lady and the Tramp’s genes

It has been a hard few years with the passing of my mother and having to abandon my childhood home after it was foreclosed but it's taken a turn for the worst. For the last 4 years I've been living with my father and stepmother, trying to find gainful employment so I could eventually move out on...

It has been a hard few years with the passing of my mother and having to abandon my childhood home after it was foreclosed but it’s taken a turn for the worst. For the last 4 years I’ve been living with my father and stepmother, trying to find gainful employment so I could eventually move out on my own but in my area where the average hourly income is around $9.00 and rent prices for a 1 bedroom apartment  average $650+ it didn’t look promising. Nevertheless I continued to search for gainful employment that would allow me to afford to move out but in the meantime I found part time work after my last position ended and kept searching for full time work and finally after 3 years of applications and interviews I was offered a great position that would pay well enough for me to move out in the next 6 months but that was cut short when I flew out of state for training for my new job and was informed by my father that my stepmother was kicking me out as soon as I returned. I am devastated and terrified because when I return “home” I will no longer have one. This fundraiser will be to raise money for first and last month’s rent and deposit on a place as well as a bed (as I do not have one and have been using a spare one) and deposits on utilities. This is my first time attempting to do all of this and isn’t the way I wanted it to go but in words of the great Tiffany “New York” Pollard, “bitch I’m here.” Anything you can give will be amazing. I’ve found a few potential places that I hope will serve as my very first place with your help.
