Rosamund Pike in the book Bond on Set: Filming Die Another Day
Delainey Hayles on what shes learned about claudia:
“Audiences love multi-faceted characters but when they talk about claudia, they talk about how angry she is all the time, do not reduce her to that (…) shes’s actually full of love and extremely delicate”
The full quote (with a few fillers like "yeah"/"like"/etc removed for easier reading):
"Audiences love multi-faceted characters but then when they talk about Claudia, they talk about how angry she is all the time, and I'm like... No, do not like, reduce her to that. She's angry because of her circumstance. Had she not been placed in these positions, you'd see that she's actually full of love and she's extremely delicate and wants to experience love. But yeah, I've noticed a lot of people talk about her rage, and that is one of her qualities and I love her for it, but it's not all that she is."

I dispute that I must become what I am not. Time will tell.
i really hoped they weren't gonna get renewed but ig it was kind of inevitable. i won't be watching this racist misogynistic shit show and i'm gonna pretend tvl never happened and there were no more seasons after interview 2 bye

Imagine being the avatar that single handedly saved the world several times and brought back the whole air bender population from the brink of extinction and some cunt still has the nerve to say "the previous avatar let us down" Korra should have ended the world sooner
watching TVL/IWTV S3 I kept thinking "didn't we already do this didnt we have a scene like this in S1/S2 " and I was right
First was "he didn't know about the Cloud!" in regards to Daniel and Louis and the Interview files. But Louis 100% did, this was quite a signifigant turning point that already happened in Danlou's relationship...?
In S1 Danny says "What's with the total rewriting of your story?" and Louis answers: "Allow me the odyssey of recollection." Daniel accepts that and throws out the tapes. Then Louis calls Daniel "performative" and Daniel deletes the files from his computer in response as if to say "I'm serious." Louis burns the tapes and they both are satisfied with this deal.
THEN in S2 the super secret organization gives Danny the OG audio files back and Daniel ends up showing them to Louis in E5 like "Okay so the thing is I had it saved in the Cloud... l know this feels like a huge betrayal and it is but we have bigger things to focus on rn (be angry later)" and its a really good and layered scene because Daniel is lying! Its so ironic because he truly did mean to respect Louis' wishes wrt the tapes and yet he owns up to saving them anyway and being the asshole here (even though he didnt do it! it was the spies!) which I think is what allows Louis to see he's genuine and be willing to put it Aside for Now.
And WE as the audience know Daniel at least semi-seriously deleted the original files and these are the Talamasca restored versions which is like an unpredictable freak accident. but LOUIS doesnt know it and Daniel wont TELL him because the truth is harder to explain than Daniel being shitty and dissapointing. How must that feel huh, that when he tried to be decent and sincere he still ends up playing the asshole and he COULD defend himself but he wont. He'll let Louis think badly of him. There's complexity and depth here is what Im saying and its delicious
Okay so this danlou subplot about the backups happens S1-2. But then the IWTV book needs to be published bc we need the plot to move along to get to TVL.
So I guess Louis burns the laptop but forgot about the backups again? Okay sure, it could have slipped his mind... but at the very least he would have recalled it like "oh right shit the backups on the cloud" when Daniel published the book right. if they wrote Louis thinking something like "of course I should have known you kept a backup. Just like you kept them of the first interview" that would make sense but no its like genuinely news to him total amnesia of this Daniel betrayal having already happened. more like the writers forgot it did.
And its just more boring the second time around! there's no internal struggle here from Daniel and conflicting motivations and desires and 3 different schemes and conspiracies all tangled up in what danlou can say to each other. S2E5 Daniel fully expected Louis to be pissed off at him and accepted it as a necessary evil &was willing to sacrifice their peace and raport and make himself a villain for a bigger goal which is just idk an interesting character trait of his. but S3 Daniel I guess doesnt care or think about Louis like that. it feels OOC compared to the first version of this subplot we got.
like they could have still have him publish the book with the right push and motivation. Or they could have written something new for them instead of recycling S2 subplots...But that would mean the writers would have to care enough...
