I was recently asked a question that I've heard a few times,
💚💚Before starting I'd like to share a few things and give a reminder 💚💚
⭐️ I do imbibe medically more than recreationally,
⭐️ Most the folks I speak with away from computer and online blogging are medicinal folk.
⭐️Most of my info comes from that backing, online research and personal ornshared experience.
⭐️I'm not a dr, not a nurse. I cannot give medical advice. Again, no medical advice can be dispensed among the blog. But if something clicks, mayby do more research and speak with your own primary care dr or other medical professional.
>Are some forms of “delivery” more potent? If I eat 5 mg of an edible or tincture I get very sick, I don't get the same from vaping.
The short answer? Yes. Some forms of delivery are and can be more potent than others
The long answer? Still yes, But It could be a few different things aside from product potency that affect your body.
First before the rest though of the ramble,
And its advice i always give before the rest, I suggest cutting that edible dose in 1/2.
Yep, you heard right. Cut the 5 mg in half.
It could be entirely possible, and some might scoff at the idea, but the dose could be too high. (I mean how much vaping would one need to do to equate an edibles mg? A question i do not currently have an answer to)
Edibles, cannabis and the potency of it all has changed since becoming available through dispensaries for recreational and medicinal purposes.
As well the way product is processed by ones body can bring a different high or effect too. At least in my personal or heard experiences that seems true.
After figuring out if dosage truly isn't the issue, Other things it could?
🌱Just personal body chemistry. Liver health can affect how edibles are processed.
🌱personal gut health. I am a firm believer of this one via personal experience. Good gut health affects every part of the body.
🌱 the strain used. some folks can't use sativa or hybrids. some its more strain specific. Like banana strain and banana crosses causing some to pass out or experience fainting spells.
🌱 the type of concentrate used to make the edible. For example. I've heard some folks say that some types of concentrates cause weird mood swings. That could be related to want they use to make it or again, dosing could just be difficult to parse down.
🌱 the sugar type, corn syrup causes digestional distress for a lot of people vs cane sugar or white sugar.
🌱Heck, for some folk the type of food dye and fake flavoring can cause disruption. I'm part of the gang who gets weird with fake food coloring and flavoring.
Some edibles I can go 5 mg just fine, others a solid 10 or 15+. A few have been 2.5mg or less, more than good thanks. (I like edibles, not the time it takes to start working nor messing with figuring out doses. They tend to be recreational)
Some grass, well sometimes "weeds weed". Personally I like grass best, it's easier to dose out and the effects are quick.
Some concentrates, like rso are super potent outside of medical use. Very easy to misdose and in honesty not all of them are the same across dispensaries or brands
I'm not overly familiar with tinctures yet, mostly due to it not being popular here, but they seem pretty solid from a few I've spoken to who do. My pup gets a tincture for storms and fireworks, seems pretty good for her lol.
Alright before I talk ears off and get too long, peace out Weedy sweeties. I Hope this ramble was useful in some way :)
