Meenah having to ask the other dancestors if they’re godtiered is kinds funny when you think about it. She spent the entire session tormenting people and failing to murder people, just used all her energy to fuck with everyone to the point she doesn’t know important information about them like if they reached godtier or not

The Dancestors aren’t friendly with eachother on a wide scale and so I guess it’d make sense if they just, hid information like that from eachother

With them playing sgrub for the longest of the 4 groups it’s honestly a surprise only Aranea and Meenah godtiered

There are doomed versions of them that do have godtier outfits on so they probably did level high enough to be eligible for godtiering but just didn’t go through with it

Most of them don’t seem like they cared about sgrub that much so I guess that’s a valid reason the alpha timeline versions of them didn’t godtier

What if more of the dancestors actually were godtiered but just didn’t wear the outfit and hid their wings, probably would just be the ones that cared enough about winning the game, which I think would’ve just been Kankri and Mituna

Actually Kankri’s godtier ministrife sprite doesn’t have wings so he’d have the easiest time hiding being a godtier (but meenah and aranea don’t always have wings so I guess they could just toggle them? Kankri exclusively not having wings even with the outfit on is cool though.) Kankri’s a Seer and does the Seer vision stuff as The Signless without being a godtier so Kankri also just doesn’t need to godtier other than to gain flight and the conditional immortality, but he also got both of those and better immortality when he became a ghost so he wins I guess.

If Kankri ever comes back and has relevance in HS^2 I’d like him to wear his Seer robes. The Seer outfit and the outfit The Signless wear are pretty similar, robes and tights n shit, so I like Kankri wearing Seer robes. Dirk got 2/3 Seers on his little spaceship he should’ve completed his collection.

Shout out Kankri Vantas for showing that you can have good values and care about issues and still be an asshole

A common viewpoint on Kankri that I see is that he is simply a bootlicker with no sense of integrity when that’s moreso what Karkat is, Karkat and The Imposter want to be accepted into the caste system while Kankri and The Signless despise it and want rid of it.

Kankri is sympathetic towards how trolls of the higher end of the hemospectrum have the expectation that they’re meant to care for those lower than them but that’s more like he hates that people are forced into certain roles because of their caste which like, that does show he has integrity and he won’t bash the individuals just because they happened to be born a certain way. He says he admires how Latula doesn’t let that expectation change the way she interacts with those lower on the hemospectrum.

A shitty thing that Kankri does do is stop any form of a persons identity because he’s overcorrecting the wrongs lowbloods face due to their identities. This happens with Meenah calling out Cronus for pretending to be human kin for attention and Kankri interfering with this and Kankri is in the wrong here. He’s so worried about someone feeling pained that he is, knowingly or not, allowing them to stay in delusion. His focus is scattered between trying to fix every single issue that he doesn’t spend as much time looking into specific issues that don’t concern him as he should. If he thought about how Cronus feels seriously for a moment he’d come to the same conclusion as Meenah but Kankri doesn’t care about Cronus enough to do so and just goes “fuck dude, whatever makes you happy just don’t hurt anyone”

It’s like Meulin’s toxic positivity just on a grander scale since Kankri does this with anyone facing an issue he isn’t personally invested in, so any issue outside of being an outcast due to an uncontrollable factor (he could’ve had an interesting conversation with Jade since she’s like, a mutant to a certain degree, she got dog ears)

Kankri and Karkat both want to be liked despite their status as second second class citizens, Kankri tries to keep everyone happy while Karkat builds a wall around his heart so he doesn’t have to be vulnerable. Karkat’s attempt at isolation draws people in and backfires positively while Kankri’s attempts at peacekeeping comes off as annoying so people don’t like him even more.

I think a point could be made about how Porrim doesn’t really care about Kankri like how a friend would and is very condescending and ignores boundaries he tries to establish such as “please don’t touch me and stop coddling me”

None of the interesting nuances of Kankri even matter he’s not getting any more relevancy and his characterization is tainted by the shitty strawman tumblr sjw andrew hussie came up with in 5 minutes because of how rushed the ending of homestuck was fuck my chud life
