An all too common discussion is how we can change the public perception of trans people, women especially, and how our friends can help. One way is through the sharing of stories that rely on neither tragedy nor spectacle. I can think of no better recent example than this submission to the We Happy Trans 7Qs project by Kat Blaque. This is a woman who perfectly represents what I see so much of in my life, but so little of in the media: an intelligent, fun, self-aware, well-adjusted trans woman for whom gender is but one part of a larger constellation of fully human qualities.
