Imagine Darcy finding darcyland
“What are you reading?”
Tony’s voice startled Darcy and she jumped in her seat before whipping around to face the older man, trying and failing to be nonchalant as she blocked his view of her computer screen.
“Is that fanfiction?” he continued with a cheeky teasing grin.
“Yeah, so what?” she replied defiantly. Tony gave her a knowing look crossing his arms over his chest.
“Now, now Darcy, I’m not one to judge.” he stepped closer trying to peer around her. “Find anything good?” he grinned as he caught a few words around her head. “Is that Steve’s name, oooo and Bucky. Gettin’ a little stucky action in?” He nodded as he stepped back an impressed look on his face. “I approve kiddo.”
Darcy rolled her eyes. “Yeah Tony, cause I totally need your approval.”
Tony chuckled and moved to turn away only to stop short as he caught sight of something interesting in his periphery. “Whoa, hold up.” he turned back toward the screen. This time he physically moved Darcy’s chair pulling her away from the desk to see the screen.
Darcy squawked indignantly flailing as the chair rolled back.
“This is your name? When did you become a fanfiction staple? oh that sounds like fun.”
“You didn’t know Tony?” Bruce, who’d been silent up until then, asked with a teasing smile.
“Know what?”
“Darcy has her own fandom.” Jane pipped in, dropping some files on Darcy’s desk as she passed. Tony turned to Darcy.
“No foolin’?”
She nodded. “It’s called Darcyland. Apparently I am what the fandom calls a shipping bicycle.”
“According to fanfiction, she’s had relations with pretty much everyone in this building… and then some.” Jane explained.
Tony looked down at Darcy impressed. “Not bad kid.”
“It has it’s moments.” she cringed. “About the same number of people who ship us, also write me as your secret daughter.”
Tony hesitated a contemplative look crossing his face.
“What year were you born again?”
Darcy just rolled her eyes and shooed him away from her desk.
