It was hard to believe that it had been a year since he had left his home and Arcadia Bay to start a new life. Time really did fly, didn’t?
After starting college and moving in with his now boyfriend Nathan, Warren barely had time to catch up with any of his friends in person. He often took several credit hours and even enrolled during the summer. Probably not the wisest idea, but he was determined to finish his program as soon as possible.
Warren had kept with several of his Blackwell buddies on social media. He often had movie and game nights with Brooke and Alyssa via video chat. He has been in contact with Max too, however she often kept their chats pretty short. He only assumed it was because she was busy with school too.
When Max purpose the idea meeting up for Spring Break, Warren was thrilled. Nathan was going to fly out to New York to see Victoria, so he was glad he wasn’t going to spend the break alone in their apartment.
When the day came, Warren anxious paced the apartment, making sure everything looked presentable. Not that Max would care nor was Nathan a slob, but he didn’t want to leave out anything embarrassing.
Warren’s appearance had changed a lot too. Taller, thinner, hair shorter, glasses, and even had a light five o clock shadow. She pondered if he should probably shave. His style of dress changed a bit too; Nathan’s influence obviously.
Warren finally took a seat on the coach, anxiously checking his phone for her to text him when she was close.
Max had been living her life in San Fran with Mark Jefferson. It was nice to be able to spend time with him outside of school and without having to sneak around. She was nineteen now and it was liberating to just go out of walks on the beach, take photos and have dinner together without people looking at them like he was a perverted teacher. However, they always got odd glances because of their age difference. That didn’t matter to Max. She loved him and nothing would stop her from being with him.
She often kept in contact with her friends from Blackwell and checked in every now and then. She was excited that Warren wanted to hang out after a year of not seeing him. She booked a flight to see him and once she was there (which wasn’t long since they were both in Cali) she texted him.
[text:] Hey Warren! Open your damn door!
She joked with a winky face. She hit send and waited.
Warren’s heart about skipped a beat when he saw Max’s text. She was finally here. He missed his friend so much and it pained him that because just about everyone went their separate ways, they could no longer hang out regularly.
He hoped out from the couch, making his way over to the door. He slowly opened it, lighting up to finally be reunited with his friend. “Max! So glad you can make it!”, he said leaning in for a tight hug. As he pulled away, he stop smiling.
“Don’t just stand there, get your ass in here. Do you have any luggage I can help you bring in?”
Max grinned at her friend and hugged him tightly before entering. “Nah, I’m good. I just got my little luggage bag.” She showed him, it was a tiny little thing, a carry on size with wheels.
“Nice apartment!” She stated as she looked around while taking off her shoes and taking in the sights.
“How are things with you and Nathan?”
Her voice a little weary. She never did truly understand their relationship. She remembered Warren whooping his ass for all the shit back in Arcadia. Then again, would anyone truly understand her relationship with Mark? Probably not.
“Thanks. Don’t know if you could tell, but Nathan is the one who does most of the interior decorating.”, he says as he closes the door behind Max. Their apartment definitely had that Prescott touch. Expensive dark wood and leather furniture, massive 4K television and surround sound system mounted on the wall, Warren and Nathan’s extensive movie collection on all their bookshelves, as well as Nathan’s photography professionally framed on the walls.
“Things have been going well.”, he answers as he sits down on the couch. “Nathan started his new medication and has started going to a new psychiatrist. So far it seems to be helping him. He still has his fits, but he’s starting to learn how to control his temper. We are going to look into getting him a therapy animal soon.”, he explains.
“What about you? How is San Francisco treating you? Have you started school down there yet?”
Max smiled and sat down on expensive black couch, but it was plushy and not hard like she expected it to be. She placed her hands in her lap as usual and looked up at Warren with a soft smile.
“Good, I’m glad. I think for the most part he was a lost kid with no one to help him. I’m glad he’s finally got someone looking out for him.” She scratched the back of her neck awkwardly, “Hope he still doesn’t hate me..” Hearing the words San Fransisco made her miss Mark a little bit.
“It’s good. I’ve got my art in a small gallery now. Mark bet’s that I won’t even have to graduate my program before I become something big.” She blushed with a small smile. “He believes in me at least. “I have, it’s a four year bachelors of photography program but like I said, Mark thinks I’ll have my name out there before then.”
“What have you been up to?”
"He doesn't, actually.", Warren reassured her. "It's like you said, he was going through a lot when he was at Blackwell; more than we could possibly imagine. He just needed help and luckily he has it now. When he's chill, he is actually pretty fun to be around. He asks about you a lot."
Warren's cat, Bunsen, joins them in the living room, meowing for attention. He picks up, placing him on his lap.
"That's fantastic. I always knew you were going to make it far in the art world. Having connections with Mr. Jefferson probably has its perks too.", he complimented. "I still have a long ways to go. I just started my PhD program at UCLA. In less than eight years, I will be a doctor of chemistry and physics. I'm also considering getting some sort of degree in Mathematics too.", he explains. "Luckily the Prescotts are funding my education."

Kate Marsh. Damn, Warren missed that girl. Ever since she joined the Peace Corps, she was often gone for several months at a time. While she was over seas, she didn’t always have access to her phone or computer, but at least they always had their meet ups.
Timing couldn’t have been better. Summer break had just started and Nathan had to left to go see his family in Arcadia Bay and would all be flying out to New York to be on Dr. Bill’s show next week. Warren wanted Nathan to spend time alone with his family, thought it would be good for him to at least see his sister before she leaves again.
Warren got the guest bedroom ready for his guest, making the bed with fresh sheets. Bunsen and Lucy, Warren and Nathan’s cats would not leave his side, knowing something was up.
As soon as he heard the doorbell, he ran downstairs to answer the door, both kitties meowing and following behind him. The moment he recognized Kate outside, he beamed. “Kate! So glad you you made it!”, he said embracing her. “Come on in! Here, let me help you bring in some of these bags.”
“Warren! Gosh, it’s good to be here. Sorry if I look like a mess, being on a plane for a full day has that effect.” Releasing Warren from a tight hug, she knelt down to pet Lucy and Bunsen, scratching their ears and murmuring baby talk. Finally standing again and picking up a few bags, she hauled them inside.
Looking around Warren and Nathan’s home, she felt a wave of peace course through her. Their house had come to feel just as much like home as her place in Pennsylvania, and certainly more so than her parents’ home. After bringing her things to the guest room, she returned with a small wrapped box, handing it off to Warren with a shy smile.
She gestured for them to head to the living room, and she folded herself into the couch cushions with a small contented sigh. After a moment, and coercing his cats to join her on the couch, she looked over at him with a smile. “So… How are things? Are you still in school? Graduated? How’s Nathan? I wanna hear everything!”
Warren helped bring in Kate's bags. He set them by the black leather couch in the living room. Judging by the decor in their home, it was quite obvious Nathan had picked out the furniture and overall aesthetic.
Expensive black furniture, a large 4K television mounted on the wall, several of Nathan's gothic black and white photography decorated the walls of the living room, as well as their very extensive movie collection on the book shelves. It was definitely the home of an artist.
"Oh where do I start...", Warren said a bit winded as he petted the orange tabby, Bunsen. The Sphinx, Lucy stayed close to Kate, trying to warm her hairless body on her lap.
"Well, I'm finishing up my Bachelors soon, but I'm only half way done with school. I'm going to be starting graduate school to get my PhD.", he explained. "Nathan has been doing a lot better. He's been busy with his photography and he's clean with his drug addiction for two years now. He still has his fits, but it's nothing we can't handle. He's about to release his first book soon."

“You haven’t slept for days, have you?” “Are you eating properly? You don’t look it.” “Why do you keep stumbling over your words? Just how tired are you?” “You need to think about yourself every once in a while.” “I know your work is important, but you’re going to end up in hospital if you go on like this!” “You haven’t even touched your food. What’s going on?” “You look so… empty. I’m worried for you, please talk to me.” “Are you alright in there? You’re so quiet.” “How did you get these bruises? Please don’t lie to me.” “There’s something bothering you that you’re not telling me and I can see it slowly destroying you. What happened?” “You’re sleep deprived and you haven’t been eating. Why do you think you’re feeling dizzy?” “I can give you some pills to help you sleep. They aren’t healthy, but this is even less healthy.” “If you didn’t just blink I would’ve sworn you were dead, that’s how sickly you’re looking. Go to bed, please!” “Have you drank all of these bottles in one weekend?!” “I know you don’t want this, but it’s for your own good. Sign the papers so they can pick you up tomorrow and you can get clean.” “What the hell are you doing?! Did you do that to yourself?!” “When was the last time you left the house? Or opened the curtains for that matter.” “Here, just keep breathing. It’ll be okay. Better out than in…” “This can’t go on like this! You’re not eating, you’re not sleeping, you barely talk!” “I’m sorry. I went through your room and found this. Explain what the hell this is doing in your room!” “I thought you’d quit! How long have you been lying to me?” “I’m only trying to help and right now I think I have a much better idea of what you need than you do.” “Did you take anything? Why are you passing out? Hey! Stay with me!”
Warren staggered through the halls of the boys dorms, trying his hardest to find his way back to his room. He had no idea what he just consumed at the Vortex Club party that was making him feel so strange. Did someone spike his drink with something? One beer wasn’t enough to make him feel this terrible or strange.
He had wandered off by himself with no one bothering to help him. He was left alone on the dark hallway, pacing back and forth, passing his own room every time.
About a half hour later, he collapsed to the floor, curled up and shaking. He tried listing up his arms but even though he physically could, his brain was telling him otherwise. “I can’t move! I’m paralyzed!”, he panicked. “What’s happening to me?”
Maxine had finally gone to a Vortex Club party. She had decided to check it out and she knew Jefferson would be there. Hey I can’t help it… She thought to her inner conscious mind.
She noticed that she hadn’t seen Warren in a while and began to worry. She tried texting him and searched everywhere. She found out from Alyssa that she saw his drunk ass heading to the dorms.
She raced over there and snuck into the boy’s dorms. When she got there she saw Warren laying on the floor unable to move.
“Warren hang on!” She put out her right hand, rewinding time before Warren had reached his dorm room the first time.
She went to hide around the corner so he wouldn’t see until his back was to her. She turned the corner to meet up with him.
“Warren! Hey - are you okay??” She asked, not liking the way he was looking or walking. She knew one beer wasn’t enough to get him wasted. She then gasped - Kate had the same problem. One taste of beer wasn’t enough to make her wasted either.
“Hey, I think we need to get you to the hospital. You could be drugged. Remember, what happened to Kate Marsh?”
Everything felt so heavy to Warren. What in the world was happening to him. He tried focusing on each of the doors as he passed them, but he couldn't make out which one was his. The graffiti on the walls looked like it was moving in and closing in around him.
He moved his arms over his head, protecting himself from all the horrible sights and sounds he was hearing and seeing. "Get away from me!", he cried at the hallucination.
All of a sudden, he heard a familiar voice approaching him. "Max?", he called out. He held on to her arm, shaking violently. When she mentioned he may be drugged, he held onto her tighter. "Is that right?", he asked. "Where are we? Are they gone?"
♡ + cats
Warren loves cats. Ever since he was little, he has always wanted one. Unfortunately his mom is highly allergic to pet dander, so Warren had to settle for only owning fish and hamsters. His wish would finally be granted in college when he received his first kitten, a orange Tabby named Bunsen from Nathan for his birthday.
Just as a head's up I am going to be switching Warren over to a main blog soon. It will most likely be near the end of the week. This blog will be archived so no past threads will be lost.

Rolling his eyes, he sits up, running a hand through his hair. “Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Don’t try and butter me up or whatever. We’ll go shopping.” Standing, he stumbles over, wrapping his arms around Warren’t middle, pressing his forehead against his back. “What kind of outfit do you want..? We’ll find something.”
Warren grinned, affectionately leaning against Nathan, rubbing his arms. He thought for a moment. What kind of clothes would he even look good in? He was no fashion expert.
"I just want something nice to wear for the parties. I don't know if your club has a strict dress code, but I at least want to look like I'm well put together."

Warren is a whore for hugs. If you are his friend and you do not hug him at least once before you leave, he will follow you home until he receives his hug.
"Unless you have something in your closet that will fit my fat ass, I'm thinking I may have to go shopping for clothes before the next Vortex Club Party. My clothes aren't really what you consider cool. Can you come with me? You're more of the fashion expert than I am anyways." (weird---science).
@weird—science
“You really think we’re different sizes?” Nathan frowns, glancing over at him. “Warren, we’re the same.” That was bullshit, of course. They weren’t even close. Nate was nearly half the size his boyfriend was, but he couldn’t see that. “But, if you really hate my clothes that bad, we can go get you something better.”
"No, actually that's the problem. I actually really like your clothes. You definitely know how to throw together a nice outfit.", he said looking through his closet. "However not only are you much thinner than I am, but you are at least 5 inches shorter than I am.", Warren explained.
"Besides, this will give you the opportunity to show me where you and Victoria go for your shopping trips. Come on, this will be fun!"
