     He doesn’t let  the  satisfaction fall over his  face   —- but you better believe it’s there.  Peter wasn’t fond of Sanderson, not really  (   not that he hated him !  )  but there had always been something weird there, ever since he picked up on the fact that Josh was kind of vying over Lara Jean —- and fake girlfriend or not,  peter didn’t like that.   “  I’m  not  desperate.  “   he tries to argue, he might show a little teeth here in a smile. 

      PETER DOESN’T HATE CHRIS  —– not at all.   They all used to be friends at some point or another and IT MIGHT BE TRUE  that their only line of communication had been genevieve ( when they saw one another )  and more recently ,  Lara Jean.   But even Chris knew how idiotic he was being  —- and respectively, it went both ways. 

     “  Thanks   “  it finally comes through parted lips, and he really means that.  It was highschool, in retrospect — people were always breaking up and getting back together but that was his past — this wasn’t gonna happen with Lara Jean.  But you better believe he wasn’t gonna stop trying unless Lara Jean specifically said so —–  “ I messed up, really bad… “  it was open for interpretation whether or not Chris would help him. 

        there’s always been a sense of . . . disdain whenever chris is around peter. maybe its his overwhelming presence - his height, his looks, his personality. he’s PETER KAVINSKY, star lacrosse player, nice to everybody, perfect ex-girlfriend, and nice to look at. and as much as chris hates to admit it, he knows her like the back of his hand. she sometimes wishes memories of him would fade away, but they stick to her like glue, root at the back of her mouth and gives her tongue a sour taste whenever she teases him. 

        people change. things’re different now.

        there’s a slight shift in her disposition, playful smile falling by a degree upon her face. now that the lara jean situation was out of the way, she is unsure of what else to say to him. probably because their conversations never lasted this long anymore. how EXACTLY do you talk to someone like peter and how did people do it on a normal basis. she doesn’t know, and she doesn’t really want to either.
