Witchy Knowledge with Waya!
👁Scrying👁
~As with all posts, this is my take, my opinion, my knowledge. If you make your magick in a different way, great! Don't hate on other ways of the Craft. As I say again and again, there's no wrong way to witchcraft.~
Scrying is extremely useful. It can be used to look into the future, or to look into the past, but most commonly, it's used to see things that are happening it the present in another location. For example, I live in Florida. My family lives in Indiana. I use scrying to check up on those that I love.
When one scrys, they can see and/or hear what's happening. Scrying is different for everyone and most beginners can only see/hear snippets of happenings. The adept can almost view events far from them like movies.
There are, of course, many different ways to scry, but the most popular ways are by using "Scrying Mirrors" (blacked out mirrors, I don't know much about them because I do not use them, so if anyone knows some stuff about them feel free to comment!), or using one or more of the four elements.
I use water to scry. Most people don't, because water is such a fickle element. There's a saying: "water is the witche's whore; when used, lies to most, and trusts few."
I can gladly say that I'm one of the few that water trusts.
To scry, I fill a small (usually a white ceramic or regular wooden) bowl with water (natural is best, I like to use rain, ocean, or river water), and add 3 drops of black ink. I stir the ink clockwise 3 times, focusing on what/whom I wish to view. Sometimes when I need a boost, I'll simply chant: "By yhe power of 3 by 3, water, reveal, let me see."
Other ways to scry:
🔥Fire: fickle and mistrustful. Renowned as an extremely difficult way to scry. You can look into the fire or use the smoke.
🌫Clouds: generally a very gentle and easy way to scry. Look into a cloudy sky and read the shapes and movements of the clouds. A good choice if you're just beginning to learn to scry.
🔮Crystal balls: very traditional. Can be difficult.
⚫Stones: usually flat and black. This is said to be an easy and most reliable method.
Thank you for reading another post!! Blessed be!

“Get Away From Me” Banishing Spell Bottle
I created this to get rid of a person who was making me feel very uncomfortable and would not take my hints to leave me alone. This is a banishing spell to target a specific person who you want out of your life. It also has some protective elements to keep you safe from them.
Ingredients
-Salt (protection)
-Ground black pepper (banishing)
-Black peppercorns (banishing)
-One dried hot pepper (banishing, adds “heat” to your intent”)
-Bay leaves (protection)
-Basil (protection)
-Black thread and wax for sealing
Preparation
Grind all of your ingredients except for the whole peppercorns. It may be easier to crush the bay leaves and dried pepper with your hands first. While you are grinding, keep your intent on the person you wish to banish, and recite (either vocally or mentally):
“I am done with you
Leave me be
Rid your presence
I am free”
Fill the bottle with the mixture, and add the pepper corns on top. Cork your bottle, tie the black string around the neck, and seal with wax. As you do this, continue the recitation, but alternate the verse with:
“get away, get away, get away”
You can store the bottle at home for general use, or carry it with you. I kept mine in a backpack pocket to protect me in case I run into the person on campus.

To Move On
I recently had a very heart shattering break up, and I wrote this spell to help me.
I had Aphrodite help me with this spell, since she is my Goddess and she is the goddess of love and scorned lovers, but you DON’T need a deity to help you, and if you want one to help you, it doesn’t have to be Aphrodite, it can be your god/goddess, but I would suggest it be one you’re devoted to or a god/goddess of love.
You will need
-cauldron/burning bowl
-a picture of you and the ex lover or a representation of you two (must be burnable)
-scissors/knife
-black candles (to banish away pain and left over feelings)
-Amethyst (rebirth)
-Citrine (healing, self confidence)
-Smokey Quartz (Banishing, Combats depression and pain)
-Rosemary (cleansing)
-Sage (cleansing)
- Moon water
-Cork bottle
-Rose oil
-lemon oil
-rosemary oil
-lavender oil
-cinnamon oil
-pink candles (emotion, healing)
-Yellow candles (Comfort)
Take a bath first, try to listen to something comforting while you take the bath. Meditate, get into a calm state.
Set the candles and crystals and supplies on your altar.
Light the candles, cast your circle, set your intention.
Cut the picture/representation, and but it in your cauldron/burning bowl with the banishing/cleansing herbs. Burn it, and say whatever comes to mind, say what you feel like you need to say. Watch it burn away and imagine the pain and emotions towards the person doing the same.
Put the moon water and oil in the cork bottle together. Mix it well, and rub it over your heart. If you’re working with a deity, say a prayer to them, or declare yourself moving on from this ex lover and absorb the healing energy.
Let the candles burn out by themselves.
If you worked with a deity, leave out offering.
I hope this helps some of you, like it did me! Love you guys, Happy Witching!
Another great addition to any Book of Shadows is Moon Glyphs. Nothing says witch like the moon. I tend to use Moon glyphs when labeling my moon water or in spells to shorten the word.

a spell to make a home cozier
here is a little ritual you can do to bring warmth, joy and harmony to a home to make it feel cozier and more welcoming. best done during a full moon, but you can do it any time. you will need:
☾ a small bowl of ceramic, wood or glass
☾ a clove of garlic (bringing warmth + togetherness to a home)
☾ a sprinkle of lavender flowers (tranquility and calm)
☾ a sprig of pine (home blessing, cleansing, grounding)
☾ a brown candle (home and hearth magick)
sit in the main area of your home. light your brown candle; sit comfortably on the floor or couch and meditate on the candle for a while. warm your hands with its flame.
set the offering bowl in front of the candle. take the garlic clove in your hands and visualize the way you want your home to feel: warm, lived-in and welcoming. warm the clove over the candle-flame briefly and set it in the bowl.
take your lavender flowers in your hands. close your eyes, take a deep breath and inhale the scent of them. let it calm you, as it will calm the energy of your home. place the flowers atop the garlic.
lastly, take the sprig of pine. use it like a wand; point it toward all four corners of the room you’re in. place it against your heart, and set it in the bowl.
whisper to the bowl: “may your magick bless this home with kindness and warmth.” blow out the candle; place the bowl on a windowsill, mantle, or coffee table for three nights. on the third night, sprinkle its contents outside your front door.
🍁 Autumn will bring prosperity.
🎃 Autumn will bring release.
🦉 Autumn will bring wisdom.
🔮 Autumn will bring peace.
“It was witches who developed an extensive understanding of bones and muscles, herbs and drugs, while physicians were still deriving their prognoses from astrology and alchemists were trying to turn lead into gold. So great was the witches’ knowledge that in 1527, Paracelsus, considered the ‘father of modern medicine,’ burned his text on pharmaceuticals, confessing that he ‘had learned from the Sorceress all he knew.’”
— Barbara Ehrenreich and Deirdre English, Witches, Midwives, and Nurses - A History of Women Healers (1973)
There is no “father” of anything.
More and more things credited to men turn out to be the creation of women.
Inktober 4- Feeling purple… sage and amethyst
How do you dry out your flowers and herbs? ✨
“The magic of beasts is sympathetic magic, fetiche magic, and death magic, but it is also sensual magic. It is the feel of the Saturn finger dipped in warm blood, of softest fur on barest skin, of sharpest tooth and talon biting in, of a raw heart on the tongue, and the scent of decay deep in the lungs. It is the rendered fat of a flying ointment like smooth silk across the brow, and it is the tactile, dirty, grounding sorcery of the here and now. It is an amoral, carnal, fleshly, and sensory feast of visceral magic combining the sacred and the profane. The magic of beasts belongs to the wild sorcerers who are part human, part spirit, and part animal; the ones who dance the knife’s edge between the worlds of life and death, the incarnate and disincarnate. It is only practical.”

♡ Parsley ♡
Scientific Name: Petroselinum crispum
Sacred to Persephone
Use in spell baths and rituals associated with communication with spirits or purification (depending on the intent)
Eat to invoke lust and passion
If you are in love, cutting parsley will result in bad luck regarding your love
Many feel parsley has evil connotations
Wear for protection
A parsley infusion can be used as a hair rinse to prevent lice. The oil can be used to treat infestations.
Poultices of parsley can be used for insect bites or make an ointment out of the oil. A compress of cooled parsley tea soothes swelling and puffiness.
WARNINGS:
Pregnant women should not eat large quantities of parsley.
Large amounts of parsley can have toxic effects on the liver, lungs, and kidneys.
Parsley oil is toxic if consumed
Use care if collecting parsley wild. Fool’s parsley looks a great deal like the real thing but the leaves are more acute, darker green and don’t smell as nice. It is quite poisonous, though it has its own uses.
