Big Changes for Black Ball!
Hello my awesome friends and fans!
Yes, I know. Black Ball has been away for awhile. It was not forgotten! In fact, the original plan had been to begin production on Black Ball Issue 4 after I finished The Alchemist of Aurillia #2. I even started storyboards for it! But then I ended up accidently making The Alchemist of Aurillia #3 instead. Woops...
But 2023 is going to be a return to Black Ball!
I've actually been working a bit behind the scenes to write the back half of the series. Making sure that everything is nice and neat and wrapped up. And now I'm ready to dust it off, add some polish, and get Black Ball across the finish line!
I want to iterate: I NEVER planned to stop or even be away from Black Ball for this long. I am in this to the end. There has been work going on behind the scenes and it's all be really positive so far.
So what's the plan now?
Black Ball will be scooching off of Tumblr and onto it's very own independent site. I am working with a dev partner to make this as awesome as possible.
Black Ball will still be mirrored on Tumblr, but the latest pages will be on Patreon, then the main site, then here and other socials.
Issue 4 will be the next book that I produce and bring to Kickstarter! I plan to run a campaign sometime in 2023 for it, but with other projects currently going on right now, I can't say when exactly it will be run.
Regardless, I will probably post it first online as a webcomic before running the Kickstarter.
I have a bunch of projects that I have to get through before the end of the year, but once 2023 hits, I am shifting focus back to Black Ball! I'm really excited to get back to these crazy kids and finish the story. Did you know we are halfway through? And it's all going up from here!
If you'd like to get a behind the scenes look at the writing and drawing process, and see some sneak peeks of new pages, plus more about all the other projects I'm working on, make sure to check out my email list! It's chock full of goodness!
You can sign up for it here.
See you soon!
