Derek is a junior in college, never could get the hang of social interaction, and is, you know, a werewolf. A werewolf and a virgin. And it isn’t like anyone is banging down his door to hop on his werewolf dick, save for the few pervs who acted like he was some kind of exotic toy to be played with and experienced. So, when he sees Stiles’ ad on Hot Men 4 Rent, Derek is… interested.
And who is he kidding, he’s read that bio every day since that sad evening with the chocolate chip cookies, and has every facet of it memorized.
Stiles, no last name. Eighteen. Student. Good conversationalist. Likes to crack jokes. Fan of junk food but enjoys running. Werewolf-friendly. Werewolf-friendly.
And there is his phone number and an email address. Plus all the moles.bball
I think Tumblr ate my ask but idk so sorry if your seeing this twice? But any good Sterek with Nerd!derek (like wearing glasses and blushing all the time Nerd)? Thank you! You guys are amazing

Anonymous said: Hi, can I ask for a Sterek fic recommendation wherein Stiles is the popular kid at school and Derek is the shy/nerd/quite kid at school who has a secret crush on Stiles? We have so many popular/jock Derek and I want to switch it up a bit for a change xD Also, totally a plus if Stiles has a not-so-secret crush on Lydia at the beginning and then develop feelings for Derek,
I do love nerdy!Derek. It’s a nice change. Here’s the tag. - Anastasia
Losers by stilinskisparkles
(1/1 I 34,234 I Explicit)
Where Derek is new to college, eager to spend his time learning, and Stiles is everything he didn’t want in a room mate. He’s loud, he’s into sports, and he keeps trying to make Derek do things.
Or, the one where Derek falls for a jock, Erica will cut you if you disturb her studying, and Jackson is a closeted romantic who pretends to hate everything.

Te Amo, Je T'aime, I Love You, Ich Liebe Dich, Etc by AnonymousActions

Derek is a nerd and likes to tell Stiles he loves him as much as possible in as many languages as possible. Stiles seems oblivious.

Stiles is at a party and falls in love with Derek’s butt.
Action and Reaction by orphan_account
(1/1 I 2,299 I General)
“Stiles intrigued Derek, and because Derek thought everything had a formula, that everything was action and reaction, he wanted to know what Stiles was reacting to.
The whole punk thing? It was a social commentary. It was someone standing up for something, and Derek wanted to know why Stiles thought he had the right to stand up for when everyone else was just trying to get through the day.”
Have Yourself A Nerdy Little Christmas by AsagiStilinski
(1/1 I 2,858 I General)
He was on his fourth weird cucumber-cracker… thing…. and generally wishing Lydia would just serve desserts and pizza bites like a normal college student, when he happened to glance up at just the right moment
And all of a sudden, his entire night turned around
“PUG!”
The guy in the ugly Pug themed Christmas sweater jumped, turning to Stiles with what could only be described as a look of utter fear in his eyes
Here We Lie, Outstretched by redeyedwrath

“I couldn’t sleep,” Stiles says, and he shrugs, twiddling with his thumbs. The moonlight catches in the hollows of his cheekbones.
Derek snorts. “So you thought that if you couldn’t sleep, neither should I?”

Strut into Your Heart by Brittanica2015

“I know you and I are, like, werewolf-married, but dude, if I ever met Lydia Martin in person … All bets are off, is all I’m saying.“
It’s not like Stiles really means it (does he?), but it still makes Derek’s hands clench into claws on the steering wheel.
“Yeah, if,” he says, and keeps his eyes on the road.

Derek’s type is a self-confident, blonde girl. Her grin is almost dangerous, her laugh’s loud, and she may seem arrogant – but if anyone has a reason to be arrogant, it’s her.Stiles’ type is a genius, strawberry blonde girl. She looks perfect no matter the time of a day, her taste’s impeccable, she’s popular as well as respected – but taken. They turn to each other, struggling with the choices and people around them.

(2/2 I 8,983 I Teen)
“So, you’re telling me that you hate Derek so much that you wouldn’t leap at the chance to jump his bones?”
“That’s different!” Stiles cried.
“How exactly?”
“Because unfortunately for me, Derek’s hotter than the Earth’s mantle. All we need is one rough hate-fuck— Preferably in the chem lab, role-playing sexy chemist while he bends me over one of the tables—and I’ll get him out of my system. That’s as far as our relationship will ever go.”
Stiles glanced across the cafeteria to where Derek was still fail-eating his lunch and sighed so put out.
“Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go make fun of Derek eating organic baby carrots.”
Bid on Me by Stereksale7
(2/2 I 9,471 I Explicit)
“Don’t celebrate yet. I’m only bidding on him if no one else does. Which will never happen because everyone wants him.” Derek said, smirk turning triumphant at Erica’s exasperated expression.
“Oh come on Der-” Erica started to whine, but quickly cut herself off when the auctioneer (Derek was pretty sure he was the frat’s president) called out “And one of our last auctions of the day, Stiles Stilinski!”
Derek’s heart dropped to his stomach in anticipation, waiting for the moment where some hot busty blonde or some Calvin Klein model guy bid on Stiles and won.
Except. It never happened.
“Shit Der, are you magic or something? Does everything you predict turn out to be wrong? Quick, say ‘Erica will not suddenly be handed a million dollars’ out loud for me”. Derek rolled his eyes and waved Erica off, watching as the auctioneer listed off qualities of Stiles, dropping the starting bid from $50 to $30 to $25, all the way down to $5.
Derek was drowning in secondhand embarrassment. And judging by Stiles’s badly concealed hurt expression and pink cheeks, he was suffering from a whole lot of first hand embarrassment.
These Stars Will Guide Us Home by anodyneer
(1/1 I 9,937 I Teen)
Derek fell for Stiles from the first time he saw him in a crowded planetarium, and the feeling was definitely mutual. For as well as they got to know each other over the weeks that followed, Derek still couldn’t help feeling like a piece of the puzzle was missing - namely, the piece involving Stiles’ home life. When Stiles disappears just before Thanksgiving break, Derek learns the truth about his boyfriend - and it’s crazier than anything he could have imagined.
A Love Like Religion by alisvolatpropiis
(1/1 I 10,696 I Explicit)
“Derek, my man, you missed an epic party on Saturday. Seriously, dude, I know morning Mass is like, your thing, but come on. You’re missing on out so much life has to offer, bro.”
Big hands land on shoulders with a thump and a squeeze while Derek stands at his locker, loading his gigantic calculus book into his backpack. He gives his best friend a practiced sidelong glare, which of course just encourages him. “You’ll change your mind when I tell you who sucked me off in Lydia Martin’s bedroom,” Stiles snickers into his ear.
Despite himself, Derek is curious. He tries to hide it by focusing on his books, but he knows the heat in his cheeks betrays him. “Who,” he asks, giving in, knowing he will eventually.
Falling in Love is a Free Action by rainproof
(1/1 I 37,252 I Teen)
Derek had a gaming group. A gaming group! After long months of playing the quiet outlier in BHHS’s nerdiest clique he considered a tabletop game to be a serious step up the social ladder.
So the game wasn’t a system he was familiar with… that was alright. Derek had played Traveler and GURPS, White Wolf and Star Wars with his group back in New York, but never straight-up Dungeons and Dragons. He could make it work. And sure, his character was a little ridiculous – a snarky, badass, leather-wearing werewolf version of himself…but that was okay too.
Because he had a gaming group, and it was being headed up by Stiles Stilinski, undisputed nerd-king of Beacon Hills High School.
If You Wanna Be My Roomie (Lover) by Stereksale7
(23/23 I 65,056 I Explicit)
Realistically, Stiles knew that the local University’s popularity and commonality meant that many members of his graduating high school class would be starting the Fall 2016 semester alongside him, but he never expected his longtime crush to be one of them. Even more so, he never expected said crush to be assigned as his roommate…oh boy.
Put Down in Words by paintedrecs
(31/31 I 203,776 I Mature)
“Oh,” Stiles said, his voice coming out low and breathy, “fuck me.”
“I don’t think that’s on the syllabus, but we can check to see if there’s a spot open in any of his classes,” Scott said, grinning.
“This isn’t an actual professor, though,” Stiles insisted, unable to resist brushing his thumb over the sharp line of the man’s bearded jaw. He was laughing at something off-camera, the shot taken in three-quarters view, his coat collar casually rumpled and opened to reveal a sliver of a simple grey t-shirt. The whole thing was deliberately calculated to lend him a more accessible feel, and god help him, Stiles was falling for it.
*
When Stiles signed up for Dr. Hale’s intro to history class, he had two goals: knock out the credits his advisor was bugging him to complete before he graduated, and spend a few hours a week daydreaming about his sexy professor’s salt and pepper beard.
Derek, a few months away from turning forty and not sure when his life had started feeling so damn lonely, had never encountered someone like Stiles before. Bright-eyed, sharp-tongued, determined to throw Derek’s carefully cultivated world into disarray…and absolutely the last person Derek should be falling in love with.

a thought:
Derek loses a bet with Erica, and so the next time he goes to Starbucks he has to order “one coffee, as black as my soul” with a completely straight face. 3 minutes later the barista hands him a giant latte with extra whipped cream and a marshmallow on top, with a completely straight face.
(Obviously Stiles is the barista, what were you expecting?)
yeah so i ended up writing it here you go
A small bell tinkles above the door when Derek walks into the coffee shop, its sweet ring followed closely by a poorly muffled snort. Derek looks to his left and finds his friends congregated on an overstuffed sofa, because of course they’re here for this. He doesn’t even know how they knew he was doing this now but he strongly suspects Cora’s involvement. She was acting smug this morning. More smug than usual.
Isaac is trying to act nonchalant, like he has no idea Derek is even there, but with half his face stuffed into his scarf and his eyes watering with mirth it’s not exactly an Oscar-winning performance. Boyd… actually looks legitimately disinterested by the whole ordeal, flipping slowly through a textbook with a pen behind his ear. Erica is clutching an iced drink in both hands and staring blatantly at Derek, wiggling her eyebrows. Typical.
Derek huffs a breath through his nose and approaches the counter.
“Hi, how can I help you?” the redhead manning the cash register asks, her nails tapping a sharp beat against the touchscreen.
Derek scowls and replies, “One coffee, as black as my soul.”
Giggles erupt behind him.
The redhead raises an eyebrow. Judges him. So hard.
There’s an amused sounding ‘what the hell’ and then a boy with messy hair and big, brown eyes sticks his head out from behind the coffee machine. He looks Derek up and down, slowly, the grin on his face getting wider and wider, then glances at the redhead, says “you heard the man, Lyds”, and ducks back behind the coffee machine.
Derek feels his ears burning as ‘Lyds’ rings him up, accepts his cash, and directs him towards the far end of the counter with a lazy flick of her fingers.
Derek mouths ‘I hate you so much’ at Erica as he walks over. She blows him kisses.
It’s mid-morning, time sandwiched between the breakfast and lunch rushes, so it doesn’t take long for Derek’s order to be up. To his complete mortification, the boy from before calls out “one coffee, as black as your soul!” He’s really good at projecting his voice. He’s evil.
Derek pulls his eyebrows so far down he can barely see through them and glares daggers at him. The guy calmly hands over his order, face straight and smile pleasant.
Derek looks down and his black coffee is huge. And decidedly not black. And there’s a mound of whipped cream roughly as big as his own face squeezed on top, all fluffy and white. And nestled among this small nation of cream is a single marshmallow. A pink one.
“Um,” Derek says.
“A coffee, just as black as your soul is,” the barista replies.
Derek looks back up at him and sees his mask of polite professionalism cracking, his mouth twitching at the corners. His really lush, soft-looking mouth. Pink as the marshmallow. Pink as Derek’s ears, probably, at this point.
“Dude, I’m friends with Scott McCall,” he says.
This means absolutely nothing to Derek.
“Scott?” the guy continues. “Who works at Dr. Deaton’s clinic?”
Derek’s eyes go wide without his permission and he can feel the heat spreading from his ears all the way down the back of his neck.
“Yeah,” the guy says with a smirk. “I know who you are. I know you brought in that litter of abandoned kittens last week.” He leans his upper body all the way over the counter and lowers his voice to a conspiratorial whisper. “And I know you named them after the Golden Girls.”
“They, uh, they were very vocal,” Derek mumbles. “They had attitudes.”
The guy laughs delightedly, his head leaned backed, gazing at Derek through feathery eyelashes. “My point exactly. I know just how dark your soul is.”
Then he scoops up some of Derek’s whipped cream on his pinkie finger and sticks it into his mouth. He pulls it out slowly, shoots Derek a wink, and then saunters back toward the register, his ass swaying underneath his apron.
When Derek manages to regain control of his body and turn around he finds his friends staring at him. Even Boyd.
“I am going to rip you throat out. With my teeth,” he hisses at Erica.
“You’re going to buy me a fucking Cake Pop bouquet, is what you’re going to do,” she replies, stirring her slushy drink with her straw.
He probably will.
a sterek fic inspired by this stupid thing because how could I not
It’s a common saying among Stiles’ friends that he doesn’t have a lot of dignity. To be perfectly honest, Stiles agrees with them (as much as he argues against the point whenever they bring it up).
But this is probably a new low.
Well, not new-new, because this is into the fourth week of the habit and if he was a better person, he’d have stopped by now. He’s not a better person in this instance, but he’s made peace with it.
‘It’ being watching his stubbled neighbour jog past his place every morning in sweatpants and obviously non-supportive underwear. There’s a lot of movement down there. A lot.
“I mean, with that much jiggle, he’s gotta know, right?” Stiles asks his window pane, behind which he’s fake writing on his laptop.
They’re not quite neighbours, there’s about half a block between them for which Stiles’ sanity is thankful. Otherwise who knows what ludicrous amateur spying would have occurred.
As it is, he is very thankful he accidentally set his alarm for five am two (it was four) mornings in a row, because now he knows that this is a morning ritual for his neighbour.
Today hot neighbour is wearing the cut off, grey sweats. They’re a personal favourite of Stiles’ (better than the dark blue ones, which make it harder to see) because it means not only can he get a clear view of his neighbour’s dick as it swings forward against the fabric, but also his sweaty, perfectly muscled calves.
Stiles sighs out and bangs his head once against the window pane, a small punishment that is also part of the routine.
What is not part of the routine, is hot neighbour looking into Stiles’ window, and seeing Stiles’ face smooshed against the glass, after which he trips, possibly in disgust, or just simple distraction.
Stiles’ first reaction is to panic. He pushes his chair back from the desk and slams his laptop closed.
His second reaction is that he should call someone to come help.
His third reaction is to realise that, hold on, he can go and help.
Stiles rushes out his front door and into the chilly morning air.

Here you go my friend! I hope you like it ^^
Thefirst time it happens, he’s standing in the bathroom, toweling himself off. Heturned sixteen a few days ago and his stomach still spikes with anxiety everytime he thinks about it; maybe it’ll happen today.
He’sjust rubbing the towel over his legs - too skinny, too long, his brainsupplies - when he feels it, a rush of something down his spine, a tingling feeling at theunderside of his arm, the towel dropping to the floor.
Hegasps as the tingling feeling intensifies, like he hit his funny bone againstthe sink, and when it’s over there are big, loopy letters on his arm, like atattoo. He bends his arm at an impossible angle to read it.

For Fanfiction Writer Appreciation Day
First of all, I want to thank all of the writers that decide to share their work with the rest of us undeserving mortals. What you guys do is amazing and inspiring and I love every single one of you!
If you are still figuring out what to do today, I would like to suggest that you get reading and leave some love for your favorite writers! Below the cut, I have included some of my favorite fics. These are ones that I go back to time an again because they are near and dear to my heart. Also, if you have time, please go give Alex some love over on her AO3 here.
Prompt (If you're up for it)! Stiles notices that Derek always caries a small notebook around, and every time he's just relaxed and people are not really looking he starts writing on it. Or maybe drawing? Stiles doesn't know, but he /has/ to find out, not just because being curious is part of his nature but also bc there are different emotions on Derek's face every time. His favorite one is that small smile, like he's so pleased with himself - it's just... Breathtaking.
So I wrote this and then I accidentally nerd!Derek-ed… Oops? I hope you still like it though ^^
There’s a guy in Stiles’class that’s driving him insane.
Stiles only has one classwith him and there’s no way that Stiles should be as infatuated with him as heis, but god, he is. And badly, too. Actual Lydia levels of infatuation.
Stiles first noticed him atthe beginning of their second semester. He only chose European History becausehe already knows pretty much everything about it and he needed another subject, but is he glad that he did.
The guy – Derek – always sitsin the front row, glasses perched on his nose and books spread out in front ofhim neatly. He likes to wear these cashmere sweaters that look like hugs madeout of fabric and he blushes when the teacher praises him and dear god, Stileswants to kiss him.
His favorite thing aboutDerek though – apart from the glasses – is the way his hair seems to curl alittle at the ends, towards his pointy ears and it makes him look so adorablethat Stiles is torn between wanting to fuck Derek into the desk and pattinghim.
Yeah, he has a problem.

I dunno if you take prompts often or are currently but I've read a few of your ficlets in the past and enjoyed them and I was wondering if maybe you could possibly write something with a little fluff and some laughs if you're up for it? I'm getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow and I'm absolutely terrified so something to bring comfort for that would be immensely appreciated.
i’m sorry this took me a bit, today was too hot to think and i had a headache and it was a mess. but here it is! and i decided to mash this up with a prompt in my drafts since it was such a loose request
so have some wolfie!derek being adorable, yes?? and i hope you’re okay and everything goes well *hugs*
“This hasto stop,” Stiles says, looking down at his blood soaked feet in disgust and thenback up at Derek who is stubbornly trying to drag a deer into his house, eventhough it’s clear that the thing can’t fit through Stiles’ back door.
“Derek,”Stiles snaps and Derek immediately jumps to attention, dropping the deer andtrotting back to him as he licks his muzzle. “Can you please stop leaving dead bodies in my kitchen?”
Derekgently headbutts him in the thigh and sits back, panting his happy wolf pantand wagging his tail.
Stiles’whole resolve crumbles and he buries his fingers in the soft fur between Derek’sears.
“Listen, Iknow it’s hard being stuck like that, and that you want to provide for me orwhatever, but you’re not an actual wolf, and this type of behavior is very frowned upon. Normal people don’tgive their boyfriends huge carcasses of meat, normal people give theirboyfriends flowers.”
Derekwhines softly and jumps up, setting his huge paws on Stiles’ chest and lickinghis face in apology.
“Yeah, Iknow you’re not normal people, but still. No more dead animals okay?”
Derekgrumbles and licks his cheek.
“Okay. Nowcome on, you really need a shower.”
«»
“You know, this isn’t what I meant when I said normal people give their boyfriendsflowers,” Stiles remarks.
Derek dropsanother bouquet of mauled flowers on his kitchen floor and trots right back outthe door, seemingly dead-set on giving Stiles every single flower he can gethis maw on.
“You’recleaning this up,” his dad tells him, stepping over the mangled flowers andpouring himself a cup of coffee.
Stilesthrows his hands up.
«»
“Isn’t itweird though?”
“It’s stillDerek,” Stiles tells him, burying his fingers in the soft fur behind Derek’sears and scratching.
“Yeah, but,like- he acts a lot like a dog,” Scott says, frowning down at them.
Derek liftshis head from where it had been tucked in Stiles’ neck and turns to growlsoftly at Scott.
“Like Isaid, it’s still Derek. And it’s just until the curse lifts, then he’ll be hisusual grumpy, frowny self.”
Derekgrumbles and tucks his snout back into Stiles’ neck, snuffling sadly.
Stilesloops his arms around him in a hug, wishing this goddamned curse lifted soonerthan later. He knows that right now, Derek’s brain has been simplified to theone of a wolf, he knows that that witch pulled his animalistic side up in hopesDerek would go berserk and murder them all, and he knows Derek hates it likethis, knows that he can somehow grasp that there’s something missing in him andit makes him upset.
So Stileshugs him and kisses him between the eyes and waits it out like Deaton told themto.
«»
“He bites,”Stiles informs the fifth person that tries to reach for Derek without asking ontheir daily stroll through the park.
The guyimmediately takes his hand back and eyes Derek warily. “Shouldn’t he be leashedthen?”
“He justdoesn’t like being touched, and I don’t let him out of my sight, don’t worryabout it,” he says dismissively, walking away from the guy.
“Doggy,” achild squees, running in their direction and Stiles opens his mouth to warnthem off but Derek paws at his leg and grumbles.
Stilessnaps his mouth shut and watches in something akin to awe as the kid gets theirhands on Derek’s fur and carefully pets him.
“Hi, doggy!Hi, hi, pretty doggy,” they coo as Derek passively stands still and lets thempet him, turning his snout to lick the little child’s hand and making themgiggle.
Stiles can’thelp the fond smile that takes over his features, wondering if Derek will dothe same thing with their kids when the time comes.
A harriedparent hurries their way and Stiles smiles, makes sure to be friendly and openand unthreatening.
They end uphanging out together for an hour or so, Stiles learning what it’s like to havekids from someone who went through it first-hand so recently, and Derekplayfully chasing the teeny booper around the park, falling on the floor at thelightest shove and rolling around the grass.
He’s goingto need another shower when they get home, but Stiles can’t really be botheredto care.
«»
“Dad!”Stiles calls out. “Did you do the laundry? I can’t find my clothes anywhere.”
“Have youchecked in the closet at the end of the hall?”
“In the-“
Stilesfrowns, walking down the hall and not even being that surprised to find Dereksleeping, belly up and contorted into a weird position in a nest of hisclothes.
“You’relucky you’re cute,” Stiles tells him and resigns himself to wear the shirt that’sone size too small to work.
«»
It’s beenabout two weeks since Derek went feral when Stiles wakes up in the middle ofthe night with the feeling of being suffocated.
He flailsout his arms to try to get whatever it is off of him, and gets a sleepy grumblein return. A much more human sleepy grumble than the ones he’s been getting forthe past two weeks.
He prieshis eyes open and his whole body melts with the relief of seeing Derek in hishuman form.
“Hey bigguy,” he whispers, burying his fingers in Derek’s hair and petting gently. “You’rekind of crushing me here.”
Dereksleepily squints his eyes open, grumbles and rolls to his side of the bed, grabbing at Stiles and pulling him close, spooning him.
“Not gonnatalk about it? Just gonna go back to sleep?”
Dereksnuffles against the back of his neck.
“Okay then,”Stiles whispers and wriggles around until he’s comfortable again.
A longminute passes before he feels lips on the nape of his neck and a quiet “Thankyou for taking care of me.”
“Don’tmention it,” he says, yawning hugely and grabbing for Derek’s hand, tucking itinto his chest and slowly going back to sleep.

The library is Kira's safe space, and when she’s there, she doesn’t define herself by what she doesn’t have.
It turns out, though, that in the place where she needs the reassurance the least, it comes, in the form of a very persistent couple.
okay what about sterek grocery store AU where stiles is dumping very strange healthy crap in his cart and derek is weirded out but fascinated
Alright but my mind went in a different direction here, forgive me.
Derek Hale who is a total health freak – who has green drinksevery morning, who works out relentlessly, who replaces his bread with lettuceleaves.
Derek Hale who makes all his own food from scratch, who buysthe healthiest produce - always organic, where he can.
Derek Hale who is fed up of his sisters teasing him, ofbeing told he’s weird, all because he likes looking after his body.
Derek Hale who sees his man – this fucking gorgeous man – loading up his shopping card with kaleand wheatgrass and buckwheat pasta and falling a little bit in love because all that is healthy on a sex stick.
Derek doesn’t really know what he’s doing but his feet do,as he walks towards said man – walks towards him, puts his hand out, smiles andsays, “I have a coupon for the kale, if you want one.” And god, it’s the worst pick up line in the history of pick up lines but it –for whatever reason – works. Gorgeous guy lights up, stutters out a shy thanks, taking the coupon Derek offershim.
But okay.
Stiles Stilinski who eats appallingly. Everything he buys, everything green and colourful and good? Yeah, that’s all for his dad. But this dude – this dude, who is sex on legs and hasthe cutest bunny teeth imaginable – thinks he’s like him– healthy. And fuck, Stiles has got butterflies in his stomach and this guy, for whatever reason, is smiling and him and asking him if hewants to maybe grab a juice at the smoothie bar across the street and Stiles –Stiles stupidly blurts out that he loves thatplace. He knows he shouldn’t say that, especially not when Sexy BunnyTeeth practically gives him heart eyes because, Really? You’re the first person I’ve met who likes that place!
Stiles Stilinski who pretends for six fucking months to be a vegan because, yup, that came out of his idiotic mouth too on that first day and he just…couldn’t find a way to take it back.
Stiles Stilinski who, somewhere between meeting Sexy BunnyTeeth and falling in love with Derek Hale, goes from shovelling burgers andcurly fries down his throat like he’s consuming oxygen to waking up before Derek andmaking them smoothies, before doing yoga. Stiles Stilinski who goes from playing video games everyevening to going on evening runs. Stiles Stilinski…who is so far fucking goneon Derek Hale he changes his lifestyle forhim. (”Karma is a bitch, son.” “Shut up and eat your vegetables, dad.”)
Stiles Stilinski who tells Derek on their first anniversaryif he doesn’t have a burger, a milk shake, something, right now, he’s going to die. Stiles Stilinski who waits for the fall out, for Derek to askhim what the fuck or to leave orlaugh or something, but all he’s metwith is, “if you aren’t vegan, why didn’t you just…eat junk food when I wasn’tthere?” Stiles Stilinski who opens and closes his mouth several times beforesaying, “I don’t know. I just wanted to…I didn’t want you to leave. I just wanted tobe someone you could…love.”
Derek Hale who is so gone on this fucking idiot, who leansin after several painstakingly long moments, brushes his lips against Stiles’ and whispers, “I knew I saw you eyeing up hot dogs the other day.” Laughs, takes Stiles’ hand, says, “Just marry me and we’ll call it even.”
“W- what?”
“Marry me.”
Stiles Stilinski, who almost accidentally stabs himself with afork in an attempt to throw himself across the restaurant table, relief pouring through him, knocking aplate of curly fries to the floor as he yells yes over and over, peppering kisses and I love yous across Derek’s face.
“You’re such an idiot,” Derek kisses back. “You could be made of junk food and I still wouldn’t leave you, you know.”
“Your idiot?” Stiles grins, batting his eyelashes.
Derek rolls his eyes, fond. “My idiot.”

@bleep0bleep i don’t know if you remember me telling you about this idea, but i finally found some time to write it
i hope you all enjoy!
Stiles opens the bar door and steps out of the rain and into the warmth. He’s dripping water all over the ground, shivering, and he scans the room for a payphone. Stiles sighs in relief and walks over, the background chatter of the bar filling his ears.
“Phone over there is broken,” the bartender calls out. Stiles grits his teeth together. He’s been driving for hours, and he has no idea what town he is even in.
“Yeah, thanks,” he says, stuffing his hands in his pockets. He finds his wallet and thinks he has enough cash for one beer. He’s tired and wet and cold. His shirt is sticking to him and when he walks towards the bar his shoes squeak against the floor.
He sees a girl laugh and throw back her head, brown hair down to her shoulders. She has a mole under her right eye and Stiles stops moving. His heart starts to thud and he thinks he’s going crazy, thinks he’s seeing things because the girl looks exactly like Laura Hale.
Stiles stares at her, and six years have gone by but it can’t be anyone else. It just can’t. The bartender is asking if he’s alright and he doesn’t say anything because he’s not. He’s tired and wet, and now Stiles thinks he’s hallucinating.
Then the girl turns her head, smile still on her face. Stiles’ fingers are shaking from the cold and from his shock, and then, then the girl’s smile fades. Her eyes widen with panicked recognition and Stiles knows. That is definitely Laura Hale.
But he still can’t move. Here are the answers he’s been begging, needing for years and Stiles can’t move his damn feet.
“Laura,” he whispers, but his voice is hoarse and the music and chatter of the bar stops anyone from hearing him.
Laura swallows, and her hands are shaking. She doesn’t look happy to see Stiles, and Stiles feels his heart break. He’s as good as a stranger, no one, nothing.
Laura’s eyes flit to the man at the end of the bar talking to one of his friends. Stiles doesn’t miss the involuntary movement and he glances there.
“Oh god,” he hears Laura say.
Stiles looks at the man and his heart breaks. He lets out a choked out sound, stumbling closer but still not making it very far.
It’s Derek.
He’s not sure for a moment, thick stubble all along his jaw and his body shows off impressive muscles. He’s not lean like he used to be, not the boy Stiles knew, but a man. A gorgeous man and Stiles has missed him more than anything.

Do you know what the world needs? Cheerleader Derek. Maybe he joined the varsity team because Cora (non-canon ages) is nervous about trying out for the grade school team and he's a good brother? And somewhere along the line, sterek.
Cora’s making the face again, that disappointed-angry-at-the-world face that Derek hates. “What’s wrong? Why are you home from practice so early?”
Cora slumps on the table headfirst until only the bright red ribbons in her hair are visible and just groans. “I hate cheerleading.”
Derek blinks. Cora loves the sport, and she was named captain this year, a major feat for a sophomore. “What? I thought this was your year to go to Nationals and stuff.”
“Well, yeah, but Jason and Ricky both joined the swim team instead and now we only have one thrower, Derek! All that choreography I worked on over the summer goes out the window if we don’t have any amazing jumps! Janelle can throw but I only have one and I need two otherwise everything is off balance and we’re not even going to qualify for Nationals and I’m a huge failure as cheer captain and I’m not going to get into college and everything–”
“I’ll do it,” Derek says.
“What?”
“I’ll join your team,” Derek says, more firmly. “It means a lot to you, and basketball season won’t start until the spring. I can do this for you.”
Cora’s eyes light up. “Really?”
“Of course.” How hard could it be, anyways?
Derek may have spoken too soon. The practices, he can handle, the uniforms, the constant chatter of the other cheerleaders, the ache in his shoulders after practice, Boyd and Erica’s gentle teasing about how tight his uniform is, it’s all manageable.
What he had completely not accounted for is Beacon Prep Academy’s running back, Stiles Stilinski.

Hi M! Thank you for opening up your prompts and sending good stuff out into the world! I was driving to work the other day and the local fire dept was out holding their boots at the intersection for donations and my mind automatically Sterek'd it 1/2
So if you want to, I’d like to see you write Derek and Stiles in that situation. I don’t mind who’s driving to work and who’s the fireman so you pick! Thank you again :) 2/2
“Would you like to donate to the Beacon Hills Firefighters Fund?”
Stiles gapes at the specimen of a man standing beside his car, holding out a giant rubber boot with a cheerful “DONATE” sign taped to it. The man is tall, dark, bearded, and frowning, though Stiles can’t tell if the latter is because he’s genuinely unhappy or just protecting his eyes from the sun’s glare.
“Uh,” Stiles says, because it’s too early for him to think when he’s looking at a firefighter who might as well have walked out of his wet dreams.
The guy raises his eyebrows and gestures with the boot. The way his T-shirt stretches over his shoulders and biceps should be illegal. “Do you want to donate?” he asks again.
“I, uh, sure!” Stiles says, scrambling for his wallet. Anything to keep Sexy Firefighter at his window just a bit longer. “What did you say it was for?”
“The Beacon Hills Firefighters Fund. We raise money to provide aid to the families of firefighters who are injured on the job,” the guy says. “We also donate a percentage to the community food bank.”
“Wow, so you guys are really up on the whole saving lives thing,” Stiles joked.
Sexy Firefighter’s eyebrows dip down. “Uh. Yes?”
Well, that fell flatter than a pancake. Stiles drops his money in the boot and ducks his head, hoping the guy can’t see the way his cheeks are burning. “Ah, well. That’s very good to hear. My dad’s the sheriff–which, I mean, that’s not quite the same thing, but it’s in the whole public service thing–so I’m a hundred percent on board with that. Hope you guys get a lot more money. Wave those boots!”
Thankfully, the light turns green right then, and Stiles shouts a quick “bye” and drives off before his mouth can embarrass him any further.
Sexy Firefighter’s bewildered look haunts him for the rest of the day.

He’s in the coffee shop after work, having mostly put the incident out of his mind, although he is planning on getting drunk with Scott and lamenting his awkwardness later. Stiles has just finished ordering his usual post-work smoothie when a soft voice behind him says, “I’ll pay for that.”
Stiles damn near jumps out of his skin. Sexy Firefighter is standing right there, and he gives Stiles a small smile before paying the barista.
Stiles gapes at him. “Um. Hi. Why are you paying for my smoothie?”
Sexy Firefighter hooks his thumbs in his belt loops and gives Stiles a frankly devastating smile. “Most people throw in five or ten bucks at most. I remember the people who throw in fifties.”
“Fifty doll–” Stiles smacks his hand over his eyes. He didn’t even look at the cash he threw into the boot. “Oh my God.”
Sexy Firefighter laughs. “The Beacon Hills Fire Department thanks you for your generosity and would like to show that gratitude by buying you a drink.”
“Just the smoothie?” Stiles asks, his heart beating faster. “Or could I interest you in buying a harder drink?”
Sexy Firefighter’s eyebrows go up. “Very smooth.”
Stiles feels his face heat. “Yeah, well, that’s about as smooth as it gets from me. Fair warning.”
Sexy Firefighter holds out his hand. “I’m Derek Hale, and I’m free on Friday.”
Stiles shakes his hand. Derek has a very nice grip. “I’m Stiles Stilinski, and I’ll pick you up at six?”
Derek grins. “Six sounds great. I’ve got to head out, but I’m looking forward to that drink.” He pulls a business card out of his pocket and hands it over. “Call me, okay?”
Stiles grips the card like a lifeline. “Definitely.”
Derek walks out of the coffee shop, and Stiles has to shake himself out of watching him go.
Looks like he’ll be doing a lot less drunken lamenting tonight.
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
A week after Cora Hale returns to Beacon Hills, she meets Lydia Martin in an alleyway, right after she throws Lydia's ex-boyfriend into a dumpster. Cora has no intentions of getting any further involved in the girl's business, nor does she plan on saying yes when Lydia asks her on a date.
Then again, Cora also had no intentions of ever becoming a vigilante but of course, that doesn't go according to plan either.
It must be something in the water. Things never got this weird in Brazil.
